Chapter 1095: Chapter 1118: Don’t Want Him to Worry

"I have a way," One said.

Blood kept flowing from his stomach, and Ye Ranran was a bit frightened, "Do you have anything to stop the bleeding on you? Let me help you."

"Of course I do." One took out a bottle, sprinkled some white powder on it, and the bleeding quickly stopped.

"Why didn’t you use this before?" Such a precious thing should have been used earlier. Why hide it?

"Isn’t escaping the most important?" One threw the bottle to Chu Ji.

Chu Ji reached out to catch it and shakily sprinkled it on the wound.

The intense pain kept him awake.

Stealing a car was no problem for One, and soon, the car started.

Ye Ranran pushed them all into the car and sat in the driver’s seat herself.

"Can you handle it?" Chu Ji was a bit worried.

The villa was on the mountain, and the mountain roads were winding and difficult to navigate; he was afraid...

"It has to work." Who else could drive here besides her? One and he were both injured; only she was unscathed.

She couldn’t fail at such a minor task.

Ye Ranran stepped on the gas, and the car shot out like a mad dog, sending Chu Ji and One lurching forward, while Song Ze, even more exaggeratedly, banged his head on the back of the seat.

"Slow down a bit, don’t rush," Chu Ji said.

After that jolt, his wound hurt even more, and at this rate, he might die from the torture before getting to the hospital.

Not being anxious was a lie; Ye Ranran was almost frantic, but what could she do? Once she was sure they had gotten far from the villa, she slightly slowed down.

"Sister, are you scared?" asked Song Ze.

Saying she wasn’t scared was a lie; Ye Ranran’s lips had turned white, and coincidentally, her phone rang at that moment.

Ye Ranran dared not answer, but the phone kept ringing.

"You should take it," Chu Ji suggested. It was most likely Jun Mochan calling. If she didn’t answer, he would only worry more.

Ye Ranran managed to grab her phone, but in doing so, nearly crashed into a tree.

One and Chu Ji’s hearts leaped.

Ye Ranran twisted the steering wheel and righted the direction, "Sorry."

"Be careful," even the reticent One couldn’t help but speak up.

He really wanted to grab the steering wheel away from her. With her driving skills, he feared they wouldn’t be shot dead but would die in a crash along the way.

"Ranran?" Jun Mochan’s voice was tense.

He was even more worried that the person answering wasn’t Ye Ranran.

"It’s me." Ye Ranran didn’t want to tell Jun Mochan what she was going through.

She didn’t want him to worry or to be troubled.

"Where are you now?" Jun Mochan didn’t seem reassured by her answer; instead, he became more anxious.

Images of her being bound and held at gunpoint flashed through his mind.

"I’m on my way back to the city," Ye Ranran replied succinctly, "Don’t worry, I’ll be there soon."

"Ye Ranran, tell me the truth. Where are you right now?" Jun Mochan’s voice suddenly turned stern.

Ye Ranran’s hand shook, almost dropping the phone, "Why do you ask?"

"After all this, aren’t you still willing to tell the truth? I’m asking you, where are you?" Jun Mochan’s words were almost through clenched teeth.

Ye Ranran felt like he was about to tear her apart.

"I, I’ve already escaped, I’m on my way back now, I’m fine. It’s just that Chu Ji and One are slightly injured, don’t worry," she said, feeling increasingly guilty as the conversation dragged on.
