Chapter 1094: Chapter 1117: The Impossible Person
Jun Mochan had personally trained them, so their techniques and skills were unquestionably good. It was just... despite the distance, Song Yue remained brazenly fearless.
As she opened her mouth to speak, a bullet passed right through her ear, making Song Yue scream in pain.
One frowned, "That’s exactly how your second brother just screamed, it’s very unpleasant." One expressed disdain.
It’s over, the only thought left in Ye Ranran’s mind was these words.
Her premonition had been accurate; she only heard Song Yue shouting, "Kill him for me, no, kill them all."
A chaotic hail of gunfire followed, with heavy casualties. Chu Ji and One also sustained injuries, while Ye Ranran remained unscathed.
She watched coldly, neither shouting nor screaming, simply observing from the sidelines.
It wasn’t indifference or restlessness but powerlessness—yes, powerlessness. Therefore, she could only stand by.
Other than avoiding getting hit by bullets herself, she didn’t know what else she could do.
When the situation spiraled out of control, Song Ze somehow emerged out of nowhere. He knocked out the few remaining people, including Song Yue.
"Sister, sister." Song Ze ran over, reaching out his hand, trying to grasp Ye Ranran through the iron cage.
"Ah Ze, you... how come you are here?" Out of a million possible outcomes, she never imagined this one.
Where had he come out from? And why was he here? How did he escape? And why did he look so disheveled?
"I... I followed her here, I thought I heard my sister’s name and was worried, so I secretly tagged along; I was hiding in the trunk," Song Ze said with a silly smile. "Sister, am I not very impressive?"
Hiding in the trunk was almost beyond Ye Ranran’s imagination.
"Go look around and see if there’s any mechanism, help me open this iron cage and let me out," Ye Ranran gently coaxed.
Her voice was deliberately soft and tender, her gaze soothing, as if afraid of startling Song Ze.
Having lived with her for some time, others might not understand Ye Ranran’s intention, but Song Ze did.
He glanced at Ye Ranran, then gently nodded his head.
The switch wasn’t hard to find but was a bit far, right by the entrance, hidden behind a rock, so unless someone opened it from the outside, it was impossible to escape from inside the cage.
Amidst the rumbling noise, the confinement trapping Ye Ranran was finally gone.
One and Chu Ji lay on the ground, with varying degrees and sizes of injuries on their bodies.
Ye Ranran helped up One, who was closest to her, and said to Song Ze, "Ah Ze, come over and help me lift him."
This ’him’ naturally referred to Chu Ji.
"Oh," Song Ze reluctantly answered.
"Where did you come in from just now?" Ye Ranran didn’t want to waste more time looking for the exit. If someone could lead the way, it would be perfect.
"Over there," Song Ze said, dragging Chu Ji forward.
His handling of Chu Ji was anything but gentle, yet Chu Ji didn’t refuse, placing his hands on Song Ze’s shoulders and letting his full weight rest on him.
Song Ze seemed to be quite lean, but his strength was great; carrying a person seemed effortless to him, and he continued walking briskly forward.
Well, after all, he had been trained, naturally much stronger than many others.
Following the exit Song Ze had pointed out, Ye Ranran realized something was off—it wasn’t the same one she had entered through.
"I came in that car," Song Ze pointed to a sports car not far away.
It looked more like the type Song Yue would drive.
"We don’t have the keys, though." Ye Ranran contemplated whether to go back and search Song Yue’s body for them; the keys should be on her.
