Chapter 1060: Chapter 1083: Looking Down on Her
"The area over here hasn’t had a wedding event yet, right? I’ve told you that we need to have one at my family’s place too," Jun Mochan teased her nose."It’s been so long, let’s just forget it," Ranran said. It was customary to have one celebration at the bride’s family and another at the groom’s.
That had been Jun Mochan’s plan initially, but with more than a year having passed since the last wedding ceremony, the idea of hosting it now felt oddly out of place to her.
"How could we just forget about it? My mother is taking care of everything anyway. You’ll only need to show up," Jun Mochan decreed with an air of finality.
Alright then, he had decided for her, so she couldn’t really object any further.
The car was cruising smoothly when suddenly, another vehicle rammed into them, causing a jarring jolt.
"Be careful." Jun Mochan held Ye Ranran firmly, who was so frightened that her heart almost stopped.
She remembered the two previous car accidents; both were caused intentionally, and she had narrowly escaped death each time.
"It’s okay, don’t worry." Jun Mochan held her tightly, his usually gentle face now stern, yet he still soothed Ye Ranran with tenderness.
After the car came to a stop, the driver got out, and the person who had hit them, driving a red sports car, did the same.
"Lady, why did you hit our car?" The driver was supposed to scold her but changed his tone to one of interrogation upon seeing a stunningly beautiful woman get out of the offending vehicle.
His tone was excessively polite.
"I hit you? Why not say you blocked my way?" Song Yue glared at the driver with haughty eyes.
Inside the car, Jun Mochan and Ye Ranran exchanged a glance, his expression growing even colder, and hers was not pleasant either.
No need to guess Song Yue’s purpose—it was obviously him.
"Mr. Jun sure attracts a lot of attention," Ye Ranran pinched him hard.
"Injustice, I didn’t provoke her," Jun Mochan pleaded.
Ye Ranran rarely got angry, and that was precisely what made it so alarming—when she did lose her temper, no one could handle her.
Ye Ranran huffed, "Aren’t you going to get out and deal with it?"
"Why don’t you come with me?" Jun Mochan asked, not refusing because he knew that Song Yue was here for him, and she wouldn’t rest until she had seen him.
"No thanks, she wants to see you, not me," Ye Ranran said in a mocking tone.
"If you don’t like it, then how about I don’t meet her?" Jun Mochan was worried she’d get upset.
"No, better to meet her. Otherwise, she might cause a scene," Ye Ranran stopped teasing him and hastily reverted to a normal expression.
Jun Mochan studied her carefully, "Are you really not angry?"
Ye Ranran nodded, "Not angry. Do I seem like someone who would be petty?"
Not at all—she was indeed very petty.
With a silent retort, Jun Mochan got out of the car. Song Yue was already arguing the driver to a standstill.
She was naturally quick-witted—able to talk black into white, a skill certainly beyond any ordinary driver.
"Young Master." The driver greeted Jun Mochan as if he were a lifesaver.
Jun Mochan signaled for the driver to get back into the car. He leaned casually against the car door, his posture relaxed and suave: "So, what’s the matter?"
"I just missed you," Song Yue transformed into a demure lady in front of Jun Mochan.
Inside the car, Ye Ranran rolled her eyes, wondering who Song Yue was trying to fool; did she really think Jun Mochan would take an interest in her?
