The tiny seed of doubt that she had was completely wiped out by Ye Ranran.

After getting her bag, Ye Ranran left the office with Luo Qi. While waiting for the lift, Jun Mochan and Ah Chuan approach from the side.

Why is he still here? Ye Ranran blinked her eyes in astonishment.

"I had to discuss some last-minute issues with your department head." Jun Mochan walked up to Ye Ranran and explained.

His words seemed like an explanation. Luo Qi’s curious gaze darted between the two of them.

Just as the elevator arrived, Jun Mochan was the first one to step inside.

"Um, you guys go ahead, we will wait for the next one." said Ye Ranran, choosing to stay outside the lift.

As the elevator doors began to close, Jun Mochan’s hand lingered on the door. His dark eyes focused on Ye Ranran, a dangerous flame burning within them. "Jun..."

"I’m hungry. Let’s go together." To stop Jun Mochan from saying ’Mrs. Jun’, Ye Ranran quickly walked into the elevator.

Jun Mochan pursed his lips and stood next to her.

Luo Qi, standing outside, looked on with a bewildered expression.

During this brief moment, the elevator doors close.

"Hey, wait for me." Luo Qi rushed to press the button, but it was already too late.

Seeing that Luo Qi didn’t follow them, Ye Ranran took this opportunity. She immediately grabbed Jun Mochan’s arm. "Mr. Jun, I’d like to discuss something with you."

"If you’re going to say pretending not to know me, there’s no point."

"But you see how inconvenient it is for me to act with the status of Mrs. Jun." Ye Ranran complained.

"Hmm?"

Recognizing the icy tone in Jun Mochan’s voice, Ye Ranran quickly changed her approach: "So, can you promise not to call me Mrs. Jun in public?"

"Possibly, but how do you plan to thank me?" Jun Mochan squinted his eyes.

Seeing Ye Ranran’s baffled expression, Jun Mochan stated indifferently, "Mrs.Jun, I’m a businessman."

She knew that, a cunning businessman at that.

Ye Ranran glanced at Ah Chuan, who wisely turned around, giving her some privacy.

Ye Ranran got on her tiptoes and quickly placed a kiss on Jun Mochan’s cheek. "Is this enough?"

"Yes, just for today."

What, only for today? Ye Ranran wanted to negotiate further, but the elevator bell sounded. They had arrived at the first floor.

Ye Ranran quickly let go of his hand and stepped aside.

Seeing her act like she wanted to distance herself from him, Jun Mochan felt a sudden urge to pull her back to him.

He moved his fingers, recalling the softness of her cheek, but ultimately resisted.

Ye Ranran didn’t leave immediately; she stood by the elevator, waiting for Luo Qi.

Ah Chuan drove off, leaving Jun Mochan standing quietly behind her. The hall’s light made him seem even more cold and noble.

His gaze was fixed upon her, so intently as if he’d forgotten everything else.

When Luo Qi arrived, this was what she saw.

Confronted with Jun Mochan’s smile that didn’t quite reach his cold eyes, Luo Qi quickly walked up to Ye Ranran.

"Ranran, Young Master Jun is waiting for you." Luo Qi whispered.

Ye Ranran turned around and commented, noticing Jun Mochan hadn’t left. His eyes held a hint of reproach, but mostly, warmth.

"Ranran, I really think Young Master Jun has special feelings for you, do you think he is..."

"Don’t overthink, he’s just waiting for his car." replied Ye Ranran.
