Chapter 92: Date

As Abby stood by the window, gazing out at the tranquil scenery beyond, Remo approached her from behind, his arms enveloping her in a warm, comforting embrace. She leaned back into his embrace, savoring the familiar warmth of his touch.

His lips brushed against the delicate skin of her neck, sending shivers down her spine as she listened to his soothing words. "I’ve booked a spa day for you and Martha," he murmured, his voice a gentle caress against her skin. "I want you to relax and let them pamper you."

Abby’s heart fluttered with gratitude at his thoughtful gesture, feeling the weight of his care and affection in every word he spoke. "After that," he continued, his voice laced with excitement, "You will indulge in some shopping, and I’ve arranged for a stylist to meet you there."

A smile tugged at the corners of Abby’s lips as she imagined the day ahead, filled with relaxation, luxury, and the promise of transformation. "And then," Remo whispered, his breath warm against her ear, "a full glam session before we have dinner."

Abby turned in his arms, her eyes meeting him with a mixture of anticipation and gratitude. "Martha and your father will have a lovely dinner at the house," he explained, his voice filled with warmth. "And then, it’ll just be you and me, somewhere special."

Her heart swelled with emotion at his words, feeling the depth of his love and devotion in every carefully planned detail. "What do you think?" he asked, his eyes searching hers for any sign of hesitation.

Abby, sensing a playful opportunity, teased Remo, "Is this your way of asking me out on a date?"

Remo chuckled, the warmth of his laughter vibrating against her back. "Well, if you want to call it that," he replied, his tone light and playful. "Consider it a special evening, just for us."

Abby turned in his arms, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So, a date it is," she declared, her smile infectious. "I’m looking forward to it.

Remo, captivated by her playful spirit, couldn’t help but smile back. As he held her close, he knew that this carefully planned evening was a way to show Abby she deserved to be treated like the extraordinary person she was, and maybe, just maybe, it was a step towards breaking down the walls around his heart.

Remo tightened his embrace, savoring the warmth of the moment. "A special evening for an extraordinary person," he said, his eyes reflecting a depth of emotion. "You deserve nothing less."

As they stood intertwined, Abby couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy and anticipation. "You know," she teased, "for someone who insists this isn’t a date, you sure are going all out."

Remo’s lips curled into a playful smile. "Well," he admitted, "consider it an attempt to pamper and spoil you, just because you’re mine."

Abby laughed, the sound of a melody that echoed through the room. "I can’t wait," she replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "But, Remo, if you’re going to spoil me this much, people might start thinking you’re trying to win me over."

Remo’s gaze held hers, a hint of vulnerability shining through. "Abby," he confessed, "I may not be able to offer you love in the way you deserve, but I can offer you moments like these. Moments where you feel cherished, appreciated, and, above all, special."

Abby’s teasing expression softened into one of understanding. "Remo," she whispered, "moments like these mean more to me than you can imagine."

Abby lifted a hand to gently caress his cheek. "Thank you," she murmured, her voice soft with appreciation and affection.

With a playful twinkle in her eyes, she leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss on Remo’s cheek. It was a simple gesture, yet it carried with it a depth of gratitude and warmth that words could not express.

Remo’s breath caught in his throat at the soft touch of her lips, a rush of warmth flooding through him. In that fleeting moment, he felt a connection so profound, it left him yearning for more.

Abby pulled back, her eyes meeting Remo’s with a tender sincerity. "I’m grateful for everything you do," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "And I’m looking forward to our special evening together."

As Abby and Martha arrived at the spa, they were greeted by the serene ambiance and the promise of a relaxing experience. However, their entrance was marred by the tense atmosphere created by an argument unfolding at the reception desk.

A woman, her features contorted with anger, was engaged in a heated exchange with the receptionist.

"I demand to be accommodated immediately!" Alice’s tone rang out, cutting through the tranquility of the spa. "I won’t tolerate being turned away. Do you know who I am?"

The receptionist, her demeanor calm and professional, tried to reason with Alice. "I understand your frustration, ma’am," she replied, her voice steady despite the escalating tension. "But as I mentioned earlier, the spa is fully booked for the next five hours. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience."

Alice’s face contorted with anger, her entitlement fueling her defiance. "I don’t care about your bookings!" she retorted, her voice rising with each word. "I come from a powerful family, and I won’t accept this rejection!"

The receptionist maintained her composure, her patience unwavering in the face of Alice’s tirade. "I apologize for any inconvenience, ma’am," she replied politely. "But I’m afraid we cannot accommodate you at this time. Perhaps you could schedule an appointment for later?"

Alice’s frustration reached its peak, her threats ringing hollow in the serene surroundings of the spa. "You’ll regret this!" she spat, her voice dripping with venom. "My family won’t stand for this disrespect!"

The woman, named Alice, grew increasingly agitated, her voice rising with each word as she threatened the staff with the power of her influential family. Her entitled demeanor clashed with the calm surroundings of the spa, creating a palpable tension in the air.

Abby watched the scene unfold in silence, her expression guarded yet revealing a flicker of recognition. Memories of childhood torment resurfaced as she recognized Alice, a figure from her past who had made her childhood a nightmare.
