Chapter 98: Chapter 98

Mia Ginger washed her face.

Then came out—

As expected, Josie Chester went to the dressing room.

Mia reached up to tuck some loose hair behind her ear, put on her shorts, and with a slight smile, stepped inside.

Josie was holding up a pink high-waisted skirt, slightly pursing her lips. Despite her effort to conceal it, the love in her eyes was evident. As she rolled her eyes and looked up, she saw Mia.

This cousin of hers was wearing a loose, light beige long T-shirt with pockets. The edges of her denim shorts peeked out from the soft hem of the T-shirt, giving off an indescribable vibe.

A hint of casual relaxation mixed with a youthful allure.

This youthfulness primarily came from her appearance: fair and slim, with delicate features. Her willow eyebrows and almond-shaped eyes set on a petite face made her look younger, and her brows carried a touch of girlish innocence, fresh and serene.

The allure, however, came from her legs.

In the summer heat, she wore wash-faded white denim shorts, with a short edge exposed underneath the T-shirt, leading down to two straight, attractive legs.

Fair, slender, delicate, and charming.

At the moment, her hands were in her pockets, her posture relaxed, with her thin shoulders slightly hunched back, looking a bit languid, like a lean and lazy cat.

Josie’s gaze fell back to her face, finding her truly beautiful.

The slightly tousled roots of her hair brushed against her neck, all very attractive. Her small, crystal-clear ear that peeked out was beautiful too.

But the most beautiful were still those eyes.

Not large, but jet-black and clear. When she looked at someone, her exquisite eyes would subtly lift at the corners. Without speaking, they were lucid and transparent, seemingly capable of understanding all her thoughts.

Rarely—

She actually felt a bit embarrassed.

Josie tightened her grip on the skirt, took two steps forward, gestured at it, and said with a smile, "This skirt is so pretty, the tag is still there, why doesn’t cousin wear it?"

"Mom bought it," Mia straightened up, smiling at her, "but I don’t really like those overly pink colors, so I haven’t worn it."

"You don’t like it?!" Josie’s eyes widened, utterly surprised.

"Yeah." Mia walked a couple of steps to the wardrobe, casually opening a nearby door and reaching to brush through a row of skirts, smiling as she said, "This one, and these, I haven’t worn any of them. They’re all size M; you can have them if you don’t mind."

"Oh!" Josie immediately jumped up to hug her neck, "Cousin, you’re the best, oh, I love you so much."

Mia let out a short laugh.

Josie let go, still smiling, and started taking out the clothes she liked, one by one.

Her parents favored her brother over her, giving the best and most expensive things to him. The spending on her was considerably less, which fostered her tendency to seize small advantages from a young age.

This was why she loved visiting the Ginger Family frequently.

Charlotte Chester, her aunt, cared about appearances. Although Mia, her cousin who was a few years older, was adopted, her attire was always impeccable.

With frequent visits, Josie’s taste became almost identical to Zuri Ginger’s.

She favored clothes with pink and ladylike styles, and her preferences in jewelry leaned towards the exquisite and precious.

With Mia’s sudden return and the Jackson Family’s constant urging, Charlotte was caught off guard and naturally prioritized teaching her about beauty, grooming, and etiquette.

Accordingly—

All her clothes and jewelry were bought according to Zuri Ginger’s preferences.

Mia was a height of 165 centimeters, had fair skin, and looked good in anything. Even if she didn’t like it, she accepted it all without complaint.

By the end of the summer, she had accumulated quite a collection of new clothes.
