Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Rivals Meet with a Mini Drama (2)
He felt like such a beast.
Louis Cox clenched his teeth and cursed under his breath twice, catching up to walk by her side. He lowered his gaze to her soft, wet hair, feeling something was off.
He paused in thought for a few seconds.
He cursed again and reached out to lift his hat, placing it on Mia Ginger’s head.
The brim was long enough to shield her from some of the rain.
Mia didn’t resist.
They walked a few more steps.
As she looked up, Koa Jackson was coming up the steps with an umbrella.
The hospital was extremely busy on Mondays, and knowing that Aiden Jiang had someone taking care of things, he felt slightly relieved. Seeing the weather, he grew a bit uneasy and drove over right after work in the morning.
Did he still arrive late?
The black umbrella isolated him in a small world. He tilted the handle slightly backward, lifting his gaze to look at Mia through the heavy rain.
She was soaked, wearing a black baseball cap.
Her small face was cleansed by the rain, fresh and bright. Her eyes were shining, slightly reddened, with a clear and unfamiliar intensity.
Like bamboo in the rain, slender and straight, growing resolutely.
Koa Jackson took two steps up the stairs, grasped her wrist with one hand, and tilted the umbrella, sheltering her by his side from the pouring rain.
Damn it!
What is going on here?!
Louis was stunned for a second. By the time he reacted, Mia had already moved away from his side.
As for the man who completely ignored him—
Louis clenched his teeth, raising his eyebrows as he looked at Koa Jackson.
The man was tall, seemingly even taller than him, with a slender, upright frame, at least 1.85 meters. His eyebrows were dark and long, his eyes the same, with dark and clear pupils, and long eye tails.
His nose was high, viewed from the side it was sharp and straight as if chiseled by a knife. His lips were extremely thin, pursed into a straight line, exuding a sharp intensity.
All in all, a cold and distant demeanor that was infuriatingly rigid.
He looks like a heartless heartbreaker.
Koa Jackson?
Mia Ginger likes this kind of man?
What kind of taste is this?!
He doesn’t seem to have the slightest bit of warmth or charm!
Louis took two steps at once down the steps, raising his hand to pat Koa Jackson’s shoulder.
However—
Just as he reached out, Koa Jackson’s free left hand suddenly stretched to his shoulder, pinching his wrist with three fingers.
Louis hadn’t even touched him, and his arm couldn’t move an inch.
Louis: "!"
Little Patten and Zoey Leaf behind him: "..."
Koa Jackson only used three fingers to pinch his wrist, yet the usually robust Louis couldn’t advance or retreat, his hand stiff and useless?
Louis had never been so humiliated; he tried to curl his fingers to grab him.
Koa Jackson opened his palm to push his hand back from his shoulder.
The motion was swift and seamless.
He seemed like a martial arts master with incredible skills.
Instinctively, Mia glanced over at him, seeing the corner of his thin lips slightly raised. He turned to the side and calmly explained, "Sorry, I don’t like being patted."
Damn it, I don’t like being pushed!
Louis stared sharply at him, his midnight-black eyes flaring with sparks.
Koa Jackson gave him a glance, then turned his head away.
He didn’t take the bait.
As if he didn’t care about the provocation, acting completely indifferent.
Louis held back a breath abruptly, neither up nor down.
Frustrated and angry.
Raindrops splattered on his handsome face. He stood there, unable to bring Mia out from under the umbrella to get soaked, and after a moment, he followed the two of them, walking down with a depressed expression.
