Chapter 149: Chapter 149 Naming Turmoil (1)

"So much?" Zoey Leaf was obviously surprised, quickly waved her hand, "Didn’t we agree? Five thousand is enough. I earned some money from summer work, five thousand is sufficient."

"Don’t I know you?" Mia Ginger opened her backpack directly, stuffed the bank card into the compartment, and said grumpily, "At school, when you needed to pay thirty yuan, you always asked your mom for fifteen and had to earn the remaining fifteen yourself."

"That’s because I was afraid she’d nag." Zoey Leaf laughed sheepishly.

"Don’t worry, I won’t nag you." Mia Ginger patted her arm, "Didn’t you say your mom is going to have surgery? I can only give you this much; no rush to pay back. When you become a flight attendant, just buy me more plane tickets."

"Mia." Zoey Leaf couldn’t help but hug her, her voice cracking with emotion.

"Alright, alright," Mia Ginger laughed and pushed her away, "So mushy."

"Hehe, I know you’re the best." Zoey Leaf stood straight, hooked her arm, and said with a laugh, "Come on, whatever you want, I’ll buy it for you."

"Oh come on, let’s keep a little dignity." Mia Ginger couldn’t help but laugh.

"Got help from a noble person just now, so I’m a little rich lady now. Giving you a bit from the fingers won’t be a problem."

"Talk about getting cocky."

"Oh come on, have a sense of humor." Zoey Leaf bumped her teasingly, "I’m serious, though. I really made some money during the summer job; buying you something would be a way to make amends for the last incident."

"I don’t need..."

"Ah, please," Zoey Leaf bit her lip, "I really feel bad. Let me give you some peace of mind."

"Alright then." Mia Ginger looked around, "Buy me some sunscreen later."

"Just that?"

"Yup." Mia Ginger pointed at a nearby Western restaurant, "Or you could treat me to a fancy meal?"

"No problem." Zoey Leaf nodded decisively.

"..." Mia Ginger looked at her speechlessly, "That place is expensive."

"How expensive?" Zoey Leaf grinned mischievously, "Just treating you to the cheapest value steak, haha!"

"You cheeky thing!"

Mia Ginger widened her eyes and chased her into the nearby mall.

She bought quite a few clothes recently, mostly helping Zoey Leaf pick clothes.

She had a tall figure, considered slender, and clothes were easy to choose.

Soon, she set her eyes on a slightly fluttery floral cami dress, picked it up cheerfully, and went to the fitting room.

Floated out like a butterfly.

Pursed her lips at Mia Ginger, "How is it, looks good right?"

"Hmm, looks good." Mia Ginger nodded seriously, "Fits very well with your stunning beauty."

"You!" Zoey Leaf was both annoyed and amused, unable to hold back laughter, "Be serious."

"Words from the heart."

"..."

Zoey Leaf rolled her eyes at her, spun around, and floated back into the fitting room.

Mia Ginger couldn’t help but lower her head and laugh.

"Hang it there, I’ll look around more." Zoey Leaf handed the dress to the shop assistant.

Hooked Mia Ginger’s arm and headed out.

"What’s up with that?"

"It’s over four hundred!" Zoey Leaf pouted sadly, "Let’s head to Joyful Benefits Street instead, dresses there are just fifty to sixty."

"It’s not the same." Mia Ginger mused, "With the start of school, buying a nice dress to reward yourself isn’t excessive."

"Easier to go from frugality to luxury than the other way around." Zoey Leaf sighed, "You have to wear nice clothes with your identity now; I’m different, still need to earn my tuition through work, saving what I can, and wearing anything is the same."
