Chapter 130: Chapter 130 (1)

The next day just happened to be the weekend.

Because Mia Ginger had agreed to go to the Jackson Family with Aiden Jiang, she got up early.

Nine o’clock.

The two were ready to set off.

Suddenly, Bob Ginger, who was sitting on the sofa, opened his mouth and said, "Dad, I’ll go with you too."

"Have you finished your homework?"

Bob was starting school tomorrow, and he was focused on catching up with his homework these days. Besides, he had never been keen on visiting relatives, especially meeting elders.

"It’s all done, all done." As he spoke, Bob stood up with a very peculiar smile, "Didn’t you say Grandpa Jackson was sick some time ago? I haven’t visited for a long time, so I’ll go with you."

As he finished speaking, he carefully glanced at Mia Ginger.

Last time she suffered grievances at the Jackson Family, who knows what might happen this time.

By going with them, he might be able to help her a little bit, preventing the Jacksons from thinking she’s easy to bully.

Hmph.

With this in mind, Bob was determined to accompany them. He turned his head and looked expectantly at Aiden Jiang.

"Alright then," Aiden nodded, stepping out the door, and didn’t forget to remind as he walked, "You’re usually casual, but don’t embarrass me when you’re there. Remember to greet Old Master Jackson and Uncle Jackson. Understand?"

"Oh, Dad," Bob grumbled unhappily, "Am I such an impolite person?"

"Hmph," Aiden answered with a single word.

Bob suddenly recalled his behavior over the whole summer, and felt like crying without tears, abruptly shutting his mouth.

——

After ten o’clock.

The three of them arrived at the Jackson Family.

Old Master Jackson knew Mia was coming, and like last time, he was waiting outside the hall early.

"Grandpa Jackson."

"Hello, Grandpa Jackson!"

Mia Ginger and Bob Ginger called out first, with Bob’s voice particularly loud.

"Girl Mia is here." Old Master Jackson looked fairly spirited, supporting himself with a cane, he patted Mia Ginger’s shoulder with his other hand, looking somewhat excited and with a hint of deliberate appeasement, clearly still feeling guilty and remorseful about what happened last time.

"Mm," Mia felt a bit sad, and said softly, "Is your health better? I’m sorry, it’s all because of me..."

"Silly child, what are you saying," Old Master Jackson waved his hand and smiled, glancing at Lydia Williams who was standing next to him with a compensatory smile, reassuring her, "What’s past is past, let’s not talk about it."

Mia smiled and nodded.

"Haven’t seen Bob for half a year, he’s grown so tall!"

Old Master Jackson then turned to Bob Ginger, standing beside Mia, sighed, and turned towards the house.

Lydia Williams reached out to support him but he pushed her away impatiently, while another middle-aged woman quickly followed behind.

Supporting Old Master Jackson as they walked inside.

Only then did Mia notice the woman standing a bit further away.

She looked like she was over fifty, taller in stature, even wearing flat shoes she was about one meter seventy, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, her appearance was not like the meticulously adorned upper-class ladies, showing no signs of living in comfort.

Her whole face was seemingly only touched up by the neatly trimmed black eyebrows.

Yet she was very beautiful.

The word ’beautiful’ wasn’t usually used to describe middle-aged women, but it was Mia’s immediate feeling.

The woman had slightly brown skin, a few freckles on both sides of the nose, unmade but appearing healthy and natural, poised and elegant, saying something to the old master while tilting her head, breaking into a smile, the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes seemed to be filled with cheerful sunshine, not showing any signs of aging, but instead giving off an impression of youthful vigor.

She wore a simple beige cotton mid-sleeve top paired with wide-leg dark brown pants, her curves accentuated, walking with an air of confidence and grace.
