Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Today Belongs to Me (2)
Cursing the two pals spreading rumors half to death in his heart.
Where’s the supposed country girl?
Her looks and demeanor completely outshine the tea goddess that went viral a while ago!
Edward Davis couldn’t hide his amazement.
Zuri Ginger looked at him, feeling even more unsettled inside, both annoyed and angry,
she had to find someone to ask Mia Ginger to dance, if she didn’t dance how would she embarrass herself?
Especially since the drug’s effects were about to kick in, she couldn’t predict how out of control Mia Ginger would become, she must find someone to entangle her.
Edward Davis, with his charming and debonair ways, often frequents bars seeking out young models, she had heard, a handsome yet flirtatious guy, was indeed the perfect choice!
But—
Urging him like this to go ask Mia Ginger to dance, she felt a pang of jealousy.
Especially seeing his expression as if he found a treasure, she really couldn’t bring herself to say anything jokingly.
"Did you say she stomped on your foot?" Edward Davis looked at Zuri Ginger and asked again, his tone tinged with amusement.
Zuri Ginger was startled, "Yes."
"It must be because you didn’t teach her well," Edward Davis teased with a smile, "You’re used to the lady’s steps, dancing is best when the sexes pair well."
As his words landed, he walked directly towards Mia Ginger.
Zuri Ginger stood there for quite a while, finally coming to her senses, furious, and went to get a drink.
——
Edward Davis approached Mia Ginger.
Sitting on a single sofa not far from her, he got a clear view of her face.
His breath hitched.
More beautiful than he imagined was one thing, but her cold and indifferent expression was another.
A girl with a pure and sweet appearance should usually be soft and adorable, yet Mia Ginger seemed to keep people afar, when she glanced up just now, she quickly scanned him, then promptly looked away.
To Edward Davis, who often mingled among beauties, this was simply an insult, instantly piquing his interest.
Just like most young men of arrogance in the world.
Because she seemed hard to get, he felt compelled to spend extra effort to gain attention.
Edward Davis straightened the bow tie around his neck, moved a step closer to Mia Ginger, and with a smile inquired, "Why sitting alone, not dancing?"
Mia Ginger did not respond.
Edward Davis’s expression subtly changed, said nothing further, his gaze fixed firmly on her.
Mia Ginger finally lifted her eyes, gave him a glance, and stood up directly.
Earlier, she had casually seen Edward Davis talking intimately with Zuri Ginger, she assumed Zuri Ginger was again up to something against her, knowing little about this guy, she’d rather evade than engage.
Edward Davis promptly stood up, stepped forward quickly to block her, his face displeased, "Isn’t that rather impolite, Miss Ginger?"
Mia Ginger raised her head and gave a slight smile, "You know me?"
"Mia Ginger?" Edward Davis chuckled elegantly, "Is it the Mia from the poem ’Green, Green the Ginger’?"
Mia Ginger nodded slightly, "Yes, that’s the character."
"How about a dance?" Edward Davis extended a hand towards her, invitingly.
Mia Ginger slightly frowned, before she could reply, someone suddenly appeared from the side, palm resting on Edward Davis’s shoulder, "Sorry, she’s with me today."
Louis Cox was dressed in a sharply tailored pure black suit, his eyes flicked up, his words full of confidence.
Edward Davis felt tightly restrained by him, when suddenly a light chuckle came from beside, "Louis, barging in like this, you’re not just abrupt to the lady, but you’re gonna scare this handsome guy as well."
The voice was alluring and charming, gentle and captivating, prompting Edward Davis to instinctively turn and look.
His expression changed.
