Chapter 100: Chapter 100 Tit for Tat (1)

Zuri Ginger’s hand gesture froze mid-air.

She turned around.

Aiden Jiang had already taken big strides towards them, looking down at her with a deep frown and asked, "What are you doing?"

"I..."

Zuri glanced at Mason Sutton beside him and was at a loss for words.

She needed to maintain some semblance of dignity in front of her father and other men. How could she vocalize the sarcasm from Mia Ginger?

Absolutely infuriating!

Zuri bit her lip, turned her face, and gave Mia a sidelong glance, full of restraint.

Mia didn’t look at her and directly explained to Aiden, "Maybe she got too many gifts for Josie just now and she’s in a bad mood."

"..." Aiden’s frown deepened, "That’s the reason? What does it have to do with Mia?"

"I’m quite puzzled myself."

Mia glanced at Zuri and said casually.

The more indifferent Mia appeared, the more Aiden felt sorry for her, only thinking about the kind of unreasonable bullying she must have endured. He sternly said to Zuri, "Where do you even resemble an older sister? Mia is two years younger than you. It’s one thing not to give way, but to slap over such trivial matters, is that reasonable?!"

Aiden’s nature has always been steady and reserved. Even when angry, he restrained his emotions.

To reprimand her so in front of outsiders was an unprecedented humiliation for Zuri.

Yet she couldn’t argue.

After a while, she bit her lip and said, "I’m sorry, Dad."

"Enough, enough," Aiden waved his hand and walked inside, "Have you invited the dance teacher? I told you to take more care of her..."

"Mom said she’ll come tomorrow." Zuri followed him, talking as they walked.

Mia and Mason fell a little behind.

Mason, being tall, slightly lowered his gaze to look at her.

The girl beside him was slender, her short hair soft, with a side fringe tucked behind her ear, making her face look even more petite and fair.

Recalling the scene he saw from afar just now, Mason couldn’t help but smile.

Mia happened to turn her head to see this and was stunned for a second. She pursed her lips and asked, "What are you laughing about?"

"What did you say?" Mason motioned with his eyes towards Zuri ahead, his voice dropping a decibel, "The young lady is furious and... unable to defend herself?"

"Does Secretary Sutton want to know?"

Mason smiled lightly, unfazed, and did not reply.

Mia pondered for a bit, looking at his youthful yet unshakable face, suddenly felt a bit mischievous, and whispered, "Not much really.

"Pfft!"

Mason was choked and quickly brought a fist to his lips, coughing.

Mia quickened her pace slightly and moved ahead.

Mason recovered and followed, his gaze falling on her adorable, snow-white ears.

The tip of her ears was flushed, red as if they were dripping blood.

He was taken aback and the smile at the corner of his lips deepened.

——

The next day.

The dance teacher arrived at the Ginger Family.

She was an elegant and gentle-looking woman, probably in her thirties, named Lena Hanson, with two small dimples when she smiled, very charming.

Mia stepped on five-centimeter high heels, following her to learn to dance.

"Step left, ah!"

The well-mannered Lena screamed for the sixth time.

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry," Mia quickly supported her and apologized, pursing her lips in frustration, "I’m so clumsy. I thought of stepping left, but somehow my right foot extended."

"..."

Lena glanced at her, utterly speechless.

Is dancing that difficult?

Since graduating from dance school, teaching dance for seven or eight years, it’s her first time encountering such a clumsy student!
