The Strongest Mythical Emperor -
Chapter 335: Heavenly Dao of the World
Chapter 335: Chapter 335: Heavenly Dao of the World
"System, bring up the attribute list of the Giant Spirit God."
Qin Jun instructed in his mind. In Journey to the West, the Giant Spirit God was one of the heavenly generals under Heavenly Lord Li, immensely strong, and once moved mountains.
However, this fellow was a pushover under Monkey Brother’s rod, not as strong as Nezha, yet still a vanguard general, certainly not too shabby.
No sooner had he spoken than the system brought up the Giant Spirit God’s attribute list:
"Giant Spirit God, a celestial general of the heavenly court."
"Race: God Clan!"
"Cultivation: Seventh Layer of the Golden Immortal Realm!"
"Cultivation method: Overlord Mnemonic!"
"Magical treasure: Xuanhua Battleaxe!"
"Divine Power: Body of the Power God!"
"Loyalty: 96 (max value 100)!"
Seventh Layer of the Golden Immortal Realm, very strong, only weaker than Nezha and Yuan Hong.
If the Giant Spirit God were to charge into battle, there would hardly be any match for him in the entire Southern Domain. Thinking of this, Qin Jun’s mood grew even more delightful.
Daji raised her head and pouted, "Are you that happy? How did you know someone would come to pledge allegiance to you, or did you arrange it all beforehand?"
"Actually, I have a Divine Power that allows me to foresee the future," Qin Jun mysteriously replied, earning an eye roll from Daji, who certainly didn’t believe such a childish explanation.
Seeing her pouting coyly, Qin Jun felt his passion rising again, then rolled over to press down on her, and another round of Wu Mountain’s misty rain followed.
...
Approaching noon, Qin Jun finally got out of bed forcibly from the tender land and went to the main hall to wait for the long-awaited Yuan Hong, who directly came over and said, "Your Majesty, Red Boy and his forces have already taken Void City!"
"Hmm, not bad. Let them reorganize for a few days before deploying again, and we also need to start recruiting more soldiers simultaneously," Qin Jun nodded.
Yuan Hong nodded and then turned to leave.
Watching his departing figure, Qin Jun couldn’t help feeling, "It’s good to have brave generals, but we are still short of civil officers."
At that moment, he suddenly remembered that he still had one opportunity to search for talent he hadn’t used; without further ado, he left the main hall and flew towards the square that housed the teleportation gate.
The square was already sealed off by a thousand Dragonrise army soldiers, inaccessible to ordinary people.
"Greetings, Your Majesty!"
The soldiers kneeled and shouted in unison when they saw Qin Jun flying over. Qin Jun approached the teleportation gate and said, "I’m going to teleport to the Great Qin Kingdom."
The soldiers operating the gate did not dare delay, promptly activating the teleportation gate.
Once the gate was open, Qin Jun stepped through it.
Quickly, Qin Jun arrived at the other end of the teleportation gate, which was situated within a military camp in the Great Qin Kingdom. As soon as he stepped out, he could hear thunderous chanting.
Looking around, he saw the capital’s military camp had expanded several times over, with countless soldiers training in the distance, their voices roaring, stirring the blood.
"Ah? It’s His Majesty!"
The soldiers near the portal were panic-stricken and kneeled down in unison, "Greetings, Your Majesty!"
"Carry on,"
Qin Jun waved with a smile and continued towards the palace. He could sense Guan Yu’s presence but did not disturb him, knowing that he would only stay half a day before returning to Guarding Slaughter City. Besides, if Second Master Guan saw that he had broken through to the fourth layer of Transforming Void Realm, it would not sit well with his character.
While he flew, he instructed in his mind, "Now start the talent search opportunity."
A one-time talent search opportunity could gather five people, indeed not bad.
Qin Jun would take them back to Guarding Slaughter City.
"Ding! Initiating random talent search!"
"Ding! Search complete. They will gradually come to prominence within half a month and will be utterly loyal to Your Majesty!"
Damn it!
What the hell?
Qin Jun stopped mid-air abruptly. Would they only emerge in half a month at the latest?
"Due to the vast extent of the host’s territory and most talents having low cultivation, they must enter court affairs through official channels," the system explained.
"Can I see their attribute lists?" Qin Jun continued to ask.
"No. The system has essentially forced those with talent to turn their consciousness, instilling them with loyalty towards the host. Please understand, the system isn’t omnipotent. Changing the consciousness of the world’s talents isn’t easy. Forced tampering would inevitably lead to the world’s Heavenly Dao’s rejection," the system said helplessly, revealing much information with this response.
This world truly exists, and there is also the Heavenly Dao. At least, for now, the system is not powerful enough to disregard the Heavenly Dao.
Qin Jun’s thoughts wandered, and he faintly sensed the system’s goals, which likely have to do with the world’s Heavenly Dao.
Since he had returned, Qin Jun continued flying to the palace to casually understand the state of affairs.
...
The lawless territory.
Within a palace named Zhengui City, the high ranks of the Righteous Alliance were discussing how to oppose the Qin Emperor.
"The Qin Emperor is too arrogant. Should we ask the Sacred Emperor for guidance?" a burly man shouted, slamming the table.
His words gained the agreement of many in the hall. The one presiding at the top seat was a man in a white robe, his black hair bundled within a jade crown, his face stern with sharp features and eyes that exuded a majesty no one dared to meet.
His name was Ren Hai, a mighty Golden Immortal of the ninth layer, the leader of the Righteous Alliance and one of the prominent figures within the top three of the Righteous Dao.
"No, if this reaches the Sacred Emperor’s ears, how can our Righteous Alliance have any dignity left?" Ren Hai said gravely, silencing the hall instantly.
Claiming the lawless territory was a task Ren Hai had long sought and been promised. At the time, even the nine greats of the Demonic Dao contested it. If they were to fail, the Sacred Emperor would undoubtedly be disappointed, perhaps even starting to lean towards the Demonic Dao, disrupting the balance of power between Righteous and Demonic paths completely.
Upon careful consideration, everyone present broke out in cold sweat.
What they thought was a favorable task had become a dire threat to the entire Righteous Dao due to the sudden rise of the Qin Emperor.
"Or maybe we could send someone to explain things to the Qin Emperor, to make him understand us?" an elder cautiously suggested.
As soon as he spoke, many looked at him with disdain.
What kind of person was the Qin Emperor, likely to compromise?
Besides, they wouldn’t compromise either, their development being more important than the grand pattern of Righteous Dao.
"Well said, it seems the honorable guests have fallen into a quandary," someone laughed loudly from outside the great hall, prompting everyone to turn and look as five figures walked in against the light.
They were five monks, including the old monk Sang Liang who had once attempted to deceive Qin Jun. The other four monks were robust, appearing as fierce as arhat guardians.
"Who are you?"
Ren Hai eyed Sang Liang, the leader, with a stern voice and unfriendly tone. The fact that five monks could barge in here implied that the defense of their Righteous Alliance was like nothing at all.
"We are naturally here to assist you. The Qin Emperor has been possessed by a demonic spirit and must be eliminated!" Sang Liang’s smiling face vanished as he spoke seriously, assuming the tone of one ridding the world of a threat.
