Chapter 1603: Chapter 1603: Birth of Ling Emperor

Primordial energy?

Primordial entity?

Everyone exchanged glances, their faces full of confusion.

Mo Jingcang’s expression changed dramatically as he murmured, "Primordial entity?"

His gaze instinctively fell on Qin Jun. Among everyone present, only Qin Jun could possibly be a Primordial entity.

But he had heard of Primordial entities—beings far superior even to the Primordial universe itself. Chaos was said to have been born from one such Primordial entity.

How could Qin Jun possibly be a Primordial entity?

"I am not a Primordial entity."

Qin Jun spoke softly, his tone pausing before he continued, "I am their father."

"..."

Mo Jingcang was speechless, while the other Gods and Demons twitched at the corners of their mouths.

Zhenghua Evil Buddha remained silent as well.

The Seven-Colored Star Path descended into an awkward and eerie silence.

Qin Jun shook his head, feeling helpless. Though he was telling the truth, why did it sound like he was boasting?

At that moment, Zhenghua Evil Buddha slowly stood up from the wooden coffin. He donned a tattered robe, his face crimson, with sharp and distinct features. His bloodshot eyes stared piercingly at Qin Jun, his bald head and fervent expression adding to his unsettling aura.

As everyone extended their Divine Consciousness toward him, they immediately felt a searing pain and hastily retracted their senses.

So powerful!

Everyone instinctively readied their mystical artifacts for battle.

"Everyone, be careful! This guy is brimming with killing intent!"

Ran Min cautioned in a deep voice. Even someone as strong as the Great Detachment of Primordial himself felt a chill facing Zhenghua Evil Buddha.

Zhenghua Evil Buddha then shifted his gaze toward Sun Wukong, his eyes sparking with an unusual glimmer.

"How can someone look so much alike..."

Zhenghua Evil Buddha murmured, prompting Qin Jun to smile even wider.

Sun Wukong felt unnerved under his stare and cursed, "What are you looking at your Lordly Sun for?"

"Sun? Are you called Sun Wukong?" Zhenghua Evil Buddha’s body trembled slightly, his inquiry cautious.

Sun Wukong froze in place, as did the other Gods and Demons.

Zhenghua Evil Buddha then noticed Yuan Hong, Six-Eared Macaque, and the Red-Bottomed Horse Monkey. These three monkeys bore a striking resemblance to Sun Wukong, like triplets. However, Sun Wukong’s unparalleled charm made him stand out—the title Monkey King was no empty boast.

"What a curious sight..."

Zhenghua Evil Buddha furrowed his brows, keeping all present Gods and Demons on edge.

"Master, what’s going on?" Mo Jingcang stepped closer to Qin Jun and asked in a hushed tone.

"Nothing."

Qin Jun chuckled lightly, his gaze fixed on Zhenghua Evil Buddha, his eyes brimming with amusement as though viewing a junior.

Zhenghua Evil Buddha snapped out of his daze, turning his focus once more onto Qin Jun. "Who are you really?"

"I am their father," Qin Jun replied.

"You..."

Zhenghua Evil Buddha was visibly irked, scowling in frustration and tempted to attack. Yet, as his eyes fell again upon Sun Wukong, his hand stayed.

"Hmph!"

With a sharp snort, Zhenghua Evil Buddha withdrew into the wooden coffin.

In the next instant, the coffin lid slammed shut, and twenty-four wooden coffins—towing countless desiccated corpses—continued racing onward at high speed, swiftly passing beneath the white clouds near Qin Jun and the others.

The wild wind roared as the Gods and Demons peered down at the dry and lifeless corpses below, gulping in unease.

Zhenghua Evil Buddha was simply too formidable, leaving them shuddering at the mere thought of him.

"Where are you heading?"

Qin Jun suddenly called out. If Zhenghua Evil Buddha harbored intentions toward the Ancient Sacred Emperor Dao, it would threaten the Great Qin Heavenly Court, and he couldn’t stand idly by.

Though Zhenghua Evil Buddha had been given to Victorious Fighting Buddha by Qin Jun long ago, the Buddha had no idea of this backstory.

"To the other end of the Ancient Sacred Emperor Dao... to resurrect Emperor Zhoumo."

Zhenghua Evil Buddha’s voice echoed, his tone like a wintry gale sweeping across the heavens.

Emperor Zhoumo?

Qin Jun raised a brow. This guy has ties with Emperor Zhoumo?

Mo Jingcang pondered silently—who exactly was Emperor Zhoumo?

He didn’t know, and the other Gods and Demons were equally puzzled.

"Continue forward."

Qin Jun instructed, choosing not to dwell on Zhenghua Evil Buddha’s intent to revive Emperor Zhoumo—because Emperor Zhoumo was simply beneath his notice.

At the moment, Qin Jun had only one goal: annihilate the Blood Bat Clan, the Golden Shaking Sect, and the Divine Master Cloud Palace!

Once they reached the end of the Seven-Colored Star Path, he vowed their obliteration.

From within the wooden coffin, Zhenghua Evil Buddha’s voice emerged once more: "Who is he really... Could he be the ’Son of Primordial’ my master spoke of?"

No one answered him. He could only continue his journey toward an uncertain destiny.

...

Golden Shaking Universe.

Amidst golden light, within a grand palace.

The Golden Shaking Sect’s leader, Emperor Qiutian, lounged on a crystalline throne, below which stood tens of thousands of sect members.

A woman in a green dress and another in red stood on either side of Emperor Qiutian like close attendants.

"What’s the battle status?"

Emperor Qiutian asked lazily from his throne.

"Reporting to the Sect Master: the Blood Bat Clan has arrived to support us, and we have successfully held off the Divine General Alliance. However, we’ve heard the Eastern Emperor is seeking other forces for assistance; the situation remains unfavorable for us," answered a Golden Shaking Sect elder.

"The Heavenly Emperor Academy has already pledged to assist the Divine General Alliance; after all, the Heavenly Emperor Stone Hall was founded by the Heavenly Emperor himself."

"It seems Confucianism is also stirring—we must remain vigilant."

"If they band together, our sect will be in trouble."

"Not necessarily—our Sect Master’s divine power is unparalleled! Even ten Confucian sects combined would be no match!"

Other elders chimed in, some blatantly flattering him.

Emperor Qiutian listened, absorbing their words before snorting, "The Heavenly Emperor Academy and Confucianism? What do they count for? As long as Emperor She doesn’t return, they’re nothing but scattered pawns."

"In the next battle, I’ll personally enter the fray and claim the Eastern Emperor’s head!"

His proclamation set the Golden Shaking Sect ablaze with excitement.

To them, Emperor Qiutian was invincibly powerful. If he fought, the Eastern Emperor would surely perish!

"By the way, Sect Master, there’s been an anomaly in the Southern Primordial realms recently; it’s rumored the Ling Emperor is about to emerge."

At that moment, an elder stepped forward and bowed as he spoke.

Southern Primordial?

Ling Emperor?

Emperor Qiutian sat upright at once, his tone sharp. "The Ling Emperor? Is this information accurate?"

"I wouldn’t dare fabricate such rumors."

The tens of thousands of Golden Shaking Sect disciples erupted in commotion.

The Ling Emperor was one of the earliest undefeated emperors, a figure of myth to them.

Emperor Qiutian’s expression turned somber. If the Ling Emperor emerged, it bode ill.

"Could this mean the Great Tribulation of Primordial will descend once again?"

...

"Beyond here lies the dominion of the Blood Bat Clan."

Mo Jingcang stood at the edge of the clouds, turning to address Qin Jun.

The Gods and Demons’ breaths quickened—the battle was finally upon them. They were both excited and tense.

Hearing this, Qin Jun nodded, his gaze piercing the cosmos, staring into the distance. By now, they had departed from the Ancient Sacred Emperor Dao and entered the Primordial territories.

The Primordial starscape was suffused with purple energy—the Primordial essence, also known as the Primordial purple energy. If mortals gained it, they’d have a chance to ascend to sainthood.

As far as the eye could see, countless stars dotted the cosmos. On each star, life thrived, evidencing the presence of living beings.

"So, this is Primordial..."

Bai Qi reached out to touch the Primordial essence wafting past, marveling aloud.

To them, Primordial had always been a legend. Never in their past did they think they’d one day walk amidst its ethereal domain.
