Chapter 86: Impossible
[Necromancer
Race: Dark race
Power Level: Level 3 bronze rank
Skills: ??? ]
After looking at the stats that had appeared in front of her, Olivia was stunned. A necromancer? She had not expected that she was going to encounter such a creature this soon. Additionally, what shocked her the most was the fact that the creature in front of he had already reached the third level of bronze rank.
She herself had not long ago just gotten to the bronze rank. It was also true that she had come out with the intention of looking for stronger creatures so that she could level up. But in the end, she met with a creature that was two levels ahead of her.
Her expression became serious as she heard the words of the figure in front of her. Just from the fact that this was the first creature that was not human that she had heard speaking was stunning. Still, she could relate that all of this was due to the fact that this creature was from another race that was not human at all.
"Hehe, it seems that I’m going to get some quality puppets to control this time. You two can become my generals in the future after I tame you all and refine you." The necromancer spoke in the same hoarse voice. But still, the contents of the words could send chills down the spine of anyone that heard them.
As the necromancer spoke, he began releasing the aura of a level 3 bronze rank apocalyptic creature. This pressure was so dense that Sarah was having a hard time breathing. Had it not been for the fact that she possessed the S grade profession, Light mage, she would have already collapsed onto the ground.
Olivia frowned when she saw the beads of sweat that had already began appearing on Sarah’s forehead. She could understand that the reason behind this was due to the fact that Sarah had yet to reach the bronze rank.
Even she herself felt how incredible the pressure was. But at the same time, she felt that this pressure was way less for a creature that had already reached the bronze rank. For some reason, she felt that she could fight the necromancer that was in front of her.
"Keke! The thing that I like the most is changing those that have that holy and pure aura around them into the most disgustful creatures." The necromancer said this as it stared at Sarah. The voice was hoarse and it was difficult to tell whether the necromancer was a man or a woman.
Olivia felt that the plan of the necromancer was to make sure that the two of them experienced fear. Even though she did not know the reason behind that, there was no way that she was going to allow something like that to happen.
Knowing that Sarah was having a difficult time holding on, she immediately acted. Ice condensed on the body of the sword that she was holding. At the same time, her cold aura spread to the surroundings.
The fact that Olivia was not hindered by the aura that it was releasing surprised the necromancer. But still, it simply snorted and said, "Ignorant foolish ant! You think that just because you have reached the bronze rank, you are capable of fighting me? Let me show you your place!"
The next moment, it raised the scythe with a long handle in its hands and moved forward at an incredible speed. At the same time, there was mocking within its eyes as the two of them collided with each other. At the same time, it was as if it was already seeing what was going to happen in the next moment.
Clank!
The two sharp weapons collided with one another. At the same time, the two of them were forced to take a few steps backwards. They then looked at each other with serious expressions.
Although the face of the necromancer could not be seen, it was still shocked. Although it had previously expected that Olivia was strong, it had never expected that she was this strong.
On the other hand, Olivia was quite calm. She had already confirmed that the feeling that she was having before was right. This creature in front of her, although it was already at level 3 of the bronze rank, the combat power that it possessed did not match the level that it was in.
Olivia could already guess that the necromancer was the same as summoners. They might actually be at a high level, but, without their summoned creatures, they were not strong and could be killed by a person that was at a lower rank than them.
Battle intent immediately appeared within Olivia’s eyes as she looked at the necromancer in front of her. This time, she had already gotten a good chance that she could use to see if she could level up. So, she didn’t wait for the necromancer to say anything and attacked.
The necromancer that was already shocked by the fact that Olivia could match it in terms of combat capabilities was displeased when it saw that she was charging over again.
"You are getting so full of yourself!" angry, the necromancer shouted as it began swinging the scythe towards Olivia.
Clank! Clank! Clank!
The blades of the two weapons collided with each other consecutively. The two moved at incredible speeds that shocked Sarah. At the same time, she made sure to keep her distance from the two fighting figures. Looking at the Incredible strength that was being displayed by the two, Sarah felt a little helpless.
She had come over with Olivia, but in the end, she had to depend on her for protection, rather that helping. This feeling was something that she didn’t like, but she knew that if she tried joining the fight, she would only be hindering Olivia from fighting freely.
The more the Necromancer continued fighting with Olivia, the more it came to realize that it was actually not capable of suppressing Olivia.
Additionally, as the fight between the two of them continued, it came to a realization that Olivia was gaining advantage slowly. It was as if Olivia was learning the moves that the necromancer was making, predicting what move the necromancer was going to make next.
And just as the Necromancer was thinking, that was what Olivia was doing at the moment. She had found out that she could easily learn the fighting patterns of the opponents that she was facing.
This was the first opponent that she was facing seriously ever since she had reached the Bronze rank. And for that reason, it was only now that she realized that she had the ability. Even though she wasn’t sure if it was going to be a one-time thing or was going to exist for a longer period of time, she had decided to use it.
As the fight between the two of them continued, she suffered a few wounds, but none of them was fatal. The wounds wiould have already begun bleeding, but she froze them, preventing the blood from leaking.
The necromancer on the other hand was getting frustrated. It had thought that perhaps it was going to deal with Olivia and Sarah, and get quality puppets. But in the end, it was having a fight of its life at this moment.
Any mistake that it made was capitalized by Olivia, and it had already suffered several wounds on its body. Purple blood was already dripping from the wounds.
"Impossible! How can this be possible! The apocalypse has only started, how can there be a strong human like you? And you are only a level one bronze rank human!" After the two of them created a distance, the necromancer shouted. At the same time, the dark aura that was surrounding the Necromancer intensified.
During the fight, the hoodie that was covering the necromancer’s face had already been removed. So, the ugly face that was filled with wrinkles was presented in front of Olivia and Sarah.
The two of them couldn’t help but get disgusted by the appearance of the Necromancer. Even though zombies looked ugly as well, at least, they were way better looking than the Necromancer in front of them.
The Necromancer looked at the wounds that it had suffered, then stared at Olivia with hatred in its eyes. Even after the hoodie had been removed and the appearance of the Necromancer was presented in front of them, neither Olivia nor Sarah could tell the gender of this Necromancer.
"Even if I will have to tear you into pieces, I will still be capable of acquiring you and turning you into my puppets. And since you are not willing to give in, then I will no longer give you the position of the general, but I will give you the position of the lowest ranking soldier in my army of undead!" The Necromancer said.
In the next moment, the sharp blade of the scythe suddenly retracted. And in the next moment, the handle of the scythe became a staff.
Dark magic began gathering around the Necromancer, as a gloomy aura suddenly spread into the surroundings.
When Olivia saw this, she immediately acted. She wasn’t going to give this necromancer a chance to do whatever it was planning to do. She was already having a difficult time dealing with it, and she wasn’t sure if she was going to defeat it after it summoned the undead army.
"Olivia, stop it. It is going to do the summoning! It is going to bring its undead army over!" Sarah shouted from the side.
