Chapter 83: Completely Suppressed

"Is there anyone else that objects the decision that has been made?"

Everyone held their gazes and looked at the direction that the voice came from. They realized that there was a lady that had appeared, and she was holding a bow in her hands.

The most striking feature about her was the fact that her ears were quite long and sharp. Additionally, she was beautiful, and heroic.

The only glitch was the fact that her expression was cold, and it seemed that if anybody was to dare go against her, he was going to be killed in the next moment.

Silence reigned in the area for a long time before someone finally spoke. "You...you, how can you kill someone just like that?"

The person who had spoken this time was a man with a bald head. At this moment, he was completely angry, and it was just that he was reacting late. As for the matter about knowing that the person in front of him was extremely dangerous, that was something that he didn’t care about in his fury.

Amongst the three people that had been killed, his wife was included. He had always dotted on his wife, and now that he saw that she had been killed, he could not bear it anymore.

But, not long after he spoke, another arrow was embedded on his forehead. This action surprised everyone present, and at the same time, it sent chills down their spines.

They looked at Diana in horror, everyone thinking that she was a devil. After all, she had just killed four people without blinking.

Even if they did not want to believe that the people that were talking in front of them moments ago were dead, the stench of blood that had already begun spreading in the air was enough to confirm to them that everything was real.

"I don’t have much time to continue wasting with you. So, you better follow what she says, or I’m going to kill you. In this apocalypse, you have no right if you don’t have any strength." Diana said. And immediately after that, she moved to the side and stood there, waiting for anyone else that did not obey what she had said.

Previously, she had decided to stay outside, just in case there was anything that came to attack. However, the moment that she realized that there was a group that was continuing to argue, she could not tolerate it anymore and came over.

Henry had given her the mission of protecting Jasmine. And for that reason, since they were supposed to go back to the territory after Jasmine was done, then, Diana who was eager to see the territory wanted to speed up things.

So, she left storm outside, and went into the basement to deal with the annoying flies. To her, anyone that was not strong enough was not worth talking to her. Had it not been for the fact that Jasmine was the one that she had been asked to protect, she would not have cared about her at all.

The governor looked at Diana with a complicated expression on his face. He really wanted to speak up, but he had been prevented by Jasmine.

Jasmine already knew about Diana’s character. And for that reason, she knew that if her father pissed off Diana, then Diana was not going to care if he was her father or not. She was just going to shoot an arrow, and Jasmine was going to lose her father.

Even though the governor could not understand, knowing that Diana had showed up with Jasmine, he decided to trust her.

After he had calmed down, he looked at Jasmine for an explanation. Jasmine went ahead and gave him the details about what had happened during the time that they were out.

The more the governor heard about it, the grimmer his expression became. He had not expected that things had changed this way in just a short period that they had been hiding here.

At the same time, he looked at Jasmine with a complicated expression on his face as he asked, "Are you sure about joining the territory? Are you sure that they are not going to mistreat you?"

As the governor asked this, he looked at Diana. The impression that Diana had given him was that, she was a ruthless person that did not care about humans’ lives. As long as somebody offended her, then, the only solution that she considered was killing them off.

Even though it was true that he did not like the fact that his daughter had joined a territory that she did not know much about, he was a logical person.

He knew that in the apocalypse, before the soldiers came over, then, it was completely useless for him to say anything. After all, even though he possessed a greater position, he did not possess the strength to rule everyone.

At the same time, he was quite grateful to the fact that Diana had protected the group on their way back to bring the food. And all of this was simply because Jasmine had joined the territory.

"Let’s talk about this after we have distributed the food. I’m sure that many people are starving." Jasmine shook her head as she said those words.

Currently, even she herself was not sure about the decision that she had made to join the territory. But still, there was no going back considering that she had already decided to join the territory.

Perhaps if she decided against what she had already agreed on, then Diana might as well end her. As for fighting back, Jasmine did not even think about it considering that other than Diana who was already incredibly stronger than her, there was also Storm that was outside.

The governor did not say anything, and began making arrangements for the food to be distributed. Thankfully, Jasmine and the others had also brought in soft drinks, beers, and even several bottles of water.

So, since the food was not that much, the governor had decided that the food was going to be distributed in small rations. And of course, just as it had been decided before, the food was distributed to the ordinary citizens first, before finally being given to the rich.

And of course, although all of them were displeased by this, none of them dared to make a sound. Just looking at Diana’s voluptuous figure that was standing not far from them, they shivered as they lowered their heads and ate the small amount of food that they had been given.

Even though they thought that the amount of food they had received was way lower than the one that they had gotten used to eating, or perhaps the quality of the food was also low, none of them dared to complain.

Considering the fact that they had been starving ever since the previous day, it was way better that they had received food without risking their lives. But still, their resentment towards Diana was not reduced at all.

"Dad, I want more food than this. How can I be given such a small amount of food? I am a man, and I am a teenager in my growing phase. I need a lot of energy because my metabolic rate is high." At this moment, Jasmine’s brother, Xavier, came over and began complaining.

Jasmine frowned as she looked at her brother. At the same time, she stole a glance towards Diana, and was slightly relieved when she realized that Diana was not paying attention to them.

"How can you be so unreasonable? You are asking for more food? Then go out and look for it yourself! Everyone is getting the same amount of food. Who are you to think that you are going to get more?" Jasmine began scolding Xavier.

Xavier looked at Jasmine with a displeased expression on his face as he said, "I am your brother of course. And since you are the one that brought over the food, I am supposed to get more. But don’t you care about your brother anymore?"

"Stop spouting nonsense. Don’t you see that even father is taking the same amount of food?" Jasmine’s frown deepened as she looked at Xavier.

"But father is just an old man. While I on the other hand I’m still in my youth..." Xavier began.

Pah!

But, he was not capable of finishing his words because he was slapped by Jasmine. With widened eyes, he looked at Jasmine, not knowing the reason as to why she had slapped him.

"I’ll tell you this time. You better behave yourself. This is not your house, and you better know that in this apocalypse, leeches are not going to be tolerated in the near future. You want more food? Then get out of here and go look for it!" Jasmine shouted.

"You don’t even have any shame for asking a girl like me to go out and look for food, while you continue sitting here, claiming that you are a young man, yet you can only depend on women!" This time, Jasmine was really infuriated by her younger brother.

Everyday, she had always been trying to make sure that her brother was growing up well, providing him with almost everything that he needed. But still, she always tried to advise him about how to behave.

But still, no matter how hard he tried to talk to him, Xavier would only nod his head, but he would not do as she had said.

This time however, she could not tolerate it. Additionally, by giving him a slap on his face, it was just another method that she was using to save him. After all, who knew if he was going to irritate Diana with his words? She might as well just kill him.

"Are you done yet? It has already been 2 hours since I was given the mission of bringing you here and taking you back to the territory. We have to go back." Diana spoke.
