Chapter 408: Tragedy

The smell of burnt meat immediately filled the vehicle that Kevin was in, making the soldier who was in charge of driving the vehicle swallow hard.

Silence immediately dominated the area at the moment that Henry killed Kevin. Nobody had really expected that Henry was going to do something like that. After all, even if it was true that Kevin had irritated him, still, Kevin possessed some influential background.

By killing Kevin at this moment, that implied that there was going to be an enmity that was going to exist between this territory and the military territory. That implied that unlike the previous times where the military only came here with the intention of taking over the territory, it would not be strange for them to come over to destroy the territory instead.

Of course they understood that Henry was strong, and so was Adam who was just beside him. But then again, how strong was the leader of the military? Nobody could actually tell how strong he was, but they understood one thing, he was definitely the strongest person that they had ever experienced other than Henry and Adam.

Angela was also surprised, but she did not say anything. In any case, it was not as if she shared any good relationship with Kevin. In fact, the relationship between the two of them had already become tense, and she believed that it was not going to be long before Kevin made a move against her.

Since he had already been eliminated, she did not do anything to help, and neither did she blame Henry for what he had done. After all, Kevin was the one who had asked for this. They had already allowed him to leave this place, but the guy just kept on throwing baseless threats. This time, he had actually gotten the wrong target.

As for the matter of going back to the military territory, she was already reconsidering it. After all, if she went back, that implied that she would have to give a report on how Kevin had died, and why she had not taken action during the time that Kevin was attacked.

Moreover, she was here with the intention of getting information about Sarah whom Henry had just mentioned. So, that implied that she had to make sure that the relationship between the two of them was not ruined by any means.

Henry looked at the soldiers who continued remaining in the same position that they were in the moment that they realized that Kevin had been killed off. Then, he said, "This is the last chance. You better get out of this place if you don’t want to remain here forever. Anybody that talks nonsense is going to be eliminated."

The moment that Henry said those words, those soldiers did not hesitate at all, got back into their own vehicles and drove away. They felt that they were lucky that Henry had decided not to attack them. Otherwise, they were not sure that they could actually hold on under his attack if even their leader himself was not capable of doing anything to resist the attack.

After everybody had left, Henry looked at Angela and said, "Come with me. We have to verify something first."

Angela did as she was instructed without hesitation. Adam went back to patrolling the territory, while Henry and Angela got inside his Jeep.

The moment that she stepped into the Jeep, Angela was shocked to realize how improved and unique the Jeep was. Although it looked small on the outside, when somebody got into the Jeep, they would realize that the space inside was so big.

Additionally, the technology that she could see that was present within the Jeep was definitely not something that could be found within any territory at this stage of the apocalypse. She could not help but be curious about how Henry had been capable of getting all of these. Could it be that he had actually found a dungeon where he had gotten this Jeep?

Nevertheless, she did not ask anything about the Jeep considering that this was not what she had been called over for. She remained silent as she looked at Henry who had also taken a seat in the living room present within the Jeep.

Currently, his eyes were closed, as if he was thinking or concentrating on something. So, Angela did not disturb him, and patiently waited.

Henry on the other hand was already communicating with Diana. He was asking for details from Sarah about her elder sister. And only after confirming from her did he look at Angela.

"I have already confirmed that you are Sarah’s sister. Sarah is currently within the military territory trying to look for your family. So, if you want to communicate with her, I guess you will have to go back to the military territory. But then again, what about the rest of your family? Are they present within the territory or not?" Henry asked as he looked at Angela.

After hearing the first few sentences from Henry, Angela was immediately thrilled. It seemed that her sister had actually found a way to find them. She had disappeared before the apocalypse, and they were completely worried about her.

Of course they had tried looking for her, but no matter how hard they tried, they could not find even her traces. They received the information about the disappearance of several other people, and so, they believed that Sarah’s disappearance was also related to the disappearance of the other people as well.

She was not sure if she was ever going to see Sarah again considering that the apocalypse had erupted when Sarah was not present. Perhaps during the time that she had been kidnapped, she might have even ended up dead. But now, after receiving information from Henry, she was excited that her sister was actually alive.

But then again, her expression turned completely frosty the moment that Henry mentioned about her family. Of course, she was not angry at Henry, but instead, just thinking of her family was the reason why she was like that.

When Henry looked at the expression that was on Angela’s face, he immediately realized that there was something wrong about Sarah’s family. So, he did not push for Angela to say anything.

"It’s okay. Let us arrange for Sarah to come back. Or you can decide to meet up with her within the military territory..." Henry waved his hand in dismissal as he said.

"My family was killed. All of them except for me. I was away from home to level up, and when I came back, I was informed that my entire family had been killed due to my father resisting the command that he had been given." Angela stated with a cold tone.

At the same time, killing intent was coming out of her body furiously, indicating just how furious she was. Just thinking of the bloody scene that had really happened according to the description that she had received, she could not help but think about how much pain her family had suffered.

Henry could feel the killing intent that was coming out of Angela’s body. At this moment, he immediately realized something, it seemed that whoever it was that had killed Angela’s family was actually somebody that Angela could not deal with, but that person was still present.

Without even waiting for Henry to ask, Angela continued, "The one who ordered for the slaughter of my family is the current leader of the military territory. I have been staying within the military territory, trying to improve my strength as much as possible so that I can deal with him."

"But I understand one thing, with my current power level, it is definitely impossible for me to be able to deal with him. After all, I cannot see through his strength. Only when I am confident would I try to make a move. But it seems that it is going to take me a very long time to be able to do something like that."

Henry remained silent as he continued to observe Angela. At this moment, there was deep hatred on Angela’s face. This was to be expected considering that the family that she had left behind had actually been killed off during the time that she was away.

Of course Henry would feel the same way if his family had actually been killed during the time that he was away. He would obviously look for a method that he could utilize in order to deal with the person who had killed his family.

From the information that he had gotten from what Angela had said, Henry immediately understood that the power level of the leader of the military territory was definitely above level 1 of the diamond rank. As for specifically which level it was in, he was not sure about it considering that even Angela was not sure.

"If it is just a matter of taking revenge, you don’t have to worry that much. Since you are related to Sarah, believe me, I will help you with that. In fact, I don’t think I will have to do anything for this matter, considering that Sarah possesses the capability of doing so personally." Henry responded.

At the mention of the name Sarah once again, Angela finally came back from the world of anger that she was in. And when she heard that her sister Sarah was actually so strong, she could not help but be relieved.

She was not sure about what it was that her sister was currently doing within the military territory, but she believed that Sarah was currently looking for her family.

"Can you ask Sarah to come back? After all, there is no need for her to continue staying within the military territory." Angela asked as she looked at Henry.
