Chapter 405: Such Confidence

"Why do you care? Or is it that you are at level 1 of the diamond rank that you do believe that you possess some strength?" Adam on the other hand sneered as he placed the battle axe on his shoulder as he looked at Angela with disdain clear in his eyes.

Angela immediately understood that Adam was provoking her. But nevertheless, she was not angry at what he had said. Instead, she paid attention to what he had said, taking in the details.

The thing that caught her attention the most of the fact that despite the fact that Adam understood the fact that she was already in the diamond rank, he did not even seem to be worried at all. Instead, he looked at her with disdain clear in her eyes, indicating that he did not take seriously the power level that she possessed.

This kind of look, the only time that she had experienced someone looking down on her like this even after she had reached a high power level was only when she was facing the leader of the military territory.

She was not really sure about the power level that he was in, but just the aura that he possessed, she understood that he was way above the level that she was in.

The leader of the military territory was quite well known back then during the time that the Apocalypse had yet to descend. But ever since the apocalypse descended, he became extremely mysterious, and nobody actually knew about the profession that he possessed.

In order to level up, he always went out alone. So, nobody had ever seen him fighting, considering that if a battle occurred and the territory was being attacked, he simply instructed the soldiers to attack.

That kind of look that disdained the power that she possessed was something that Angela hated the most. So, when experiencing Adam’s gaze, she was immediately irritated.

But even then, she controlled herself. It was not as if this was the first time that someone had provoked her like this. It was due to how calm she was and how she reacted to this situations that she was currently in this position that she was in.

With her eyes still possessing the same indifference, she looked at Adam and said, "It might be true that you are stronger than I am even though I am already at level one of the diamond rank. But do you believe that you are the strongest person present within the entire city? Or do you believe that I am the only person within the military territory that is already at the diamond rank?"

Angela did not take seriously what Adam had said about them collaborating with the zombies, and asking her actively what she was going to do about it. In any case, she could tell that he was simply saying that to irritate her.

Adam looked at Angela with a smile on his face as he said, "Of course I already know that I am not the strongest person present within this city. But even then, do you believe that your military is actually the strongest? If it is just a matter of destroying that military territory of yours, that is something that we can do within just a single day."

Angela was once again surprised by what Adam had said. She really wanted to take what Adam was saying a simple boasting, but looking at the confidence that Adam possessed as he spoke about that, it was clear that he was serious about it.

But even then, just thinking of the power that the military territory actually possessed, Angela believed that Adam was only saying these words simply because he did not understand the power of the leader of the military territory.

"I don’t want much trouble with you, or your territory. I’m here for a simple reason, and that is to know if you are actually collaborating together with the zombies. If that is the case, believe me or not, we are going to attack you." Angela stated with a solemn expression on her face.

Then without giving Adam a chance of saying anything, she continued, "I know what you think about the military territory. But that does not matter. Currently, we are already in a situation where the humans are supposed to be united. So, if some humans decide to join the members of the other races, them, believe me or not, even if it is going to cost my life, I’m going to attack whoever it is that decided to join the other side."

Adam was just about to respond when he turned around and looked towards the entrance of the territory. There, he could see the familiar Jeep coming out of the territory.

He immediately understood that the one that was coming over was Henry. After all, this was the Jeep that had been improved by Henry ever since the start of the apocalypse. So, despite the fact that it had already undergone a few changes, Adam could still remember it clearly.

Angela was also attracted by the vehicle that was coming over. She was currently not sure about who it was that was the leader of the territory considering that the information that she had received was incomplete.

Previously, when she asked that old man to give her full information about everything that he knew about, it turned out that the old man had only heard a rumor from his trusted friend.

By the time that Angela went to look for that person, he had already been killed by Kevin. Although she was angry at that, she did not do anything at all, and decided to come over and do her investigation personally.

Of course before she arrived here, she had already been observing the territory, and she noticed that actually, a large number of zombies in the surrounding areas had gone missing.

She was quite familiar with this city, so she understood that in a certain part of the city, there was a very large number of zombies. But now, the number of zombies in that particular area had drastically reduced.

And when they observed the other parts of the city, there are actually not that much changes that had occurred when it came to the numbers of zombies. It was clear that they had not congregated anywhere within the city. So, the information that she had received was definitely most likely true.

Angela did not say anything, and waited until the Jeep arrived. The moment that the Jeep arrived, the doors of the Jeep opened and a young man walked out.

The appearance of this young man would not stand out that much in this apocalypse where the appearance of almost everybody had already been enhanced. But what caught Angela’s attention was the fact that there was a special aura that surrounded this young man.

Angela immediately activated the ability that all the humans possessed, trying to look at the information about him. But she was surprised once again the moment that she realized that she could not see any information about this young man.

The expression of this young man whose hair was extremely black, and well kempt was extremely calm despite the fact that he had already seen the soldiers around.

He walked over and stood next to Adam. He looked at him and asked, "What is going on?"

"It’s just this group of soldiers coming here and acting all righteous. They think that we are actually collaborating with the zombies." Adam responded as he looked at Angela and the other soldiers with a contentious gaze.

From Angela’s observation, she could tell that Adam and Henry either possessed the same position for him to be able to ask and Adam to respond, or Henry held the highest position among the two of them. But the latter was definitely more probable.

After hearing what Adam had said, Henry’s eyes narrowed. At this point, he immediately realized that there was definitely someone that was providing information to the military. That implied that the methods that the military was utilizing in order to acquire information within the territories that were present within this city was definitely not just observation from the outside, but planting people within the territory was also another method.

Henry looked at Angela and responded, "Whatever it is that we are doing right now, I don’t think that it is related to the military in any way. But even then, I hope that the military does not do anything that goes against my own plans. Otherwise, I don’t really mind eliminating the high ranking members of that territory of yours."

This is the second time that Angela had received a threat about the military territory being destroyed. It seemed that these two people possessed quite some confidence in order for them to be able to say so casually that they could actually destroy a territory that was considered as the strongest within the entire city.

"You have to know that your decisions are going to affect the future of the entire territory. So, are you actually speaking for the entire territory, or for yourselves?" Angela asked.

Adam looked at Angela and responded, "You know what, we are not here for you to interrogate us. So, in case you don’t have anything else that you have to say, you better get going before I lose my mind."

Angela remained silent, as she continuously looked at Henry, waiting for him to say anything. But even after waiting for an entire minute, Henry did not say anything, indicating that he was actually together with what Adam had said.

Angela was just about to say something when suddenly, with a frown on her face, she turned around and looked behind them. There, she saw that there was a huge convoy of vehicles that was approaching them.
