Chapter 402: Angela Taking Action

"Are you sure that the information that you received is valid?" For the second time, the second deputy spoke up again.

This time, Kevin could not help but feel that there was something wrong this time. Why was it that she was just trying to get involved in this matter over and over again, although it was not that much related to her?

This was completely out of character according to how he understood her. Could it be that she had just decided she was going to go against him? Although it has yet to start spreading, I’m pretty sure that after a few days, all those present within the city will definitely be able to notice the movements that are being made by that territory."

Angela’s brows furrowed for a moment. Although she was not that much sure about what the old man had said, but nevertheless, she had already decided to pay attention to this matter. Could it be that the humans in that territory had decided to collaborate together with the zombies?

But how was that possible? After all, it was not long ago that the zombies had attacked that territory. According to the information that she had received so far, the leader of that territory had even been kidnapped by the zombies.

But she was brought back in and unconscious state by a group of people that just arrived in that territory. Could it be that this group of people was the one that was collaborating together with the zombies, and that was the reason why the zombies had allowed Alicia to come back to the territory?

That seemed more likely. After all, according to what she understood, it was definitely quite impossible for a territory like Trista to be able to go into the zombie territory and bring out a person. After all, she understood that within the zombies, there was a very strong zombie that was already at level 2 of the diamond rank.

Not only that, but even the skills and the strength that it possessed was way above that of ordinary level 2 diamond rank zombies. It was a mutant zombie after all. So, according to what she understood, there was definitely no possibility that the group of all that had to come over possessed the capability of dealing with the zombies.

Kevin on the other hand was completely fuming after being ignored by Angela severally. She was definitely looking down upon him, especially so in front of a group of gold rank mutant warriors. How was he supposed to show his face in front of this group of people again, if he did not take care of this matter?

"That’s it! You better focus on what you are good at. The matter of the intelligence of the city and the surrounding forces is something that is related to me. So, you better keep away from it. I will deal with the matter myself." Kevin stated in a cold tone.

At this moment, he had decided that even if he had to fall out with Angela, he had no choice. At the end of the day, what was the worst that could happen? If it came to fighting, the two of them were actually at the same level, and he believed that it would be impossible for Angela to be able to eliminate him.

Moreover, the relationship between him and the leader of the territory was better as compared to the one that Angela possessed with him. After all, Kevin was part of the military, while Angela was not.

For the first time, Angela turned around and looked at Kevin. The coldness within her eyes together with the indifference made Kevin flinch for a moment. Nevertheless, he did not retreat, and directly stared into those brown eyes that were staring at him.

"You have to understand that although it is true that I usually let you have your own way in everything that you do, that does not mean that it is your responsibility to do everything." Angela stated in an indifferent voice.

Then without waiting for Kevin to say anything, she continued, "This time, the matter related to Trista territory is something that I am going to handle personally. As for you, you can go ahead and deal with the matter regarding the other forces that have already began making their own moves. After all, our territory has to be prepared to be able to deal with them."

Kevin felt his lips twitching after hearing what Angela had said. Although he wanted to refute what she had said, it was actually true. There was no division of activities between the two of them. It was just that Angela had been completely ignoring everything else other than fighting, leaving the majority of the responsibilities to Kevin.

Of course Kevin was not disappointed at that. In fact, he was happy considering that through this method, his influence was going to be able to increase within the territory. So, he was more than happy that Angela was not doing anything to compete with him.

With his eyes narrowed, he looked at the old man who had given the information and made a decision in his heart. Nevertheless, he did not say anything, and remained silent.

Angela on the other hand looked at the old man and said, "You will be coming together with me. We have to investigate this matter, and I will be leading the team personally."

The old man was completely relieved after hearing that. It was a good thing that Angela was the one that was going to deal with this matter, rather than Kevin. According to Kevin’s character, even if he found out that Trista territory was yet to be controlled by the zombies, he was sure that this guy was definitely going to attack that territory, leading to deaths of many people there. What would happen if part of those people that had been killed were actually his family?

"Yes, I will follow everything you say." The old man gave a slight bow as he responded happily. This time, he had actually managed to evade death. But nevertheless, he understood one thing, there was definitely no way that Kevin was going to let things slide just like that.

So, according to his plan, the old man was definitely not going back to his place. Instead, he had planned that he was going to stay around where Angela was located. This way, the chances of him being killed off by Kevin would reduce drastically.

"The meeting is dismissed. All of you go and do what is necessary. You have to understand that the battle is about to begin, and you have to be fully prepared. I don’t want to get any excuses during the time of battles once you commit a mistake." Realizing that Angela had finally completed what she wanted to say, Kevin stated.

As everyone left the place, the old man remained behind. Angela also remained behind, while Kevin immediately left the place. He had decided that he was going to deal with those people that had been instructed to be the source of information for the military territory from the other territories.

As he left the place, Kevin understood one thing, the information that he had received was definitely incomplete. Zombies were actually related to the territory? That information was completely obscure, and it was quite difficult to be able to understand what it was trying to imply.

Just from this, he could tell that perhaps the person that they had sent there to act as a source of information for them had already decided to betray them. Otherwise, since he was currently present within the territory, and the territory itself was making quite big movements, it was impossible for him not to be able to know what it was that the zombies were doing within the territory.

For the past 3 days, Alex had been busy trying to convert the zombies that were being continuously brought over back into humans. The process was extremely energy consuming, but nevertheless, at his current power level, it was not that much of a problem for him to be able to deal with the zombies.
