Chapter 394: Reversal Ability

"Just what the heck is going on?" Alex asked as he got up from the bed.

Henry looked at Alex who had already stood up with a helpless expression on his face. Why was it that everybody that he had met up with today had a problem? He had already said what was needed to be said for now, couldn’t he wait for another time to ask for information about the other things that are disturbing him?

Nonetheless, Henry simply shook his head and responded. "That is a piece of information that you are going to get as long as you get out of this place. But for now, you have to give me information about the profession that you possess."

Without waiting for Alex to say anything, Henry continued. "We don’t really have that much time considering that a battle is just about to erupt. If we can gain any advantage at this stage of the apocalypse, then it is better. After all, we don’t have that much manpower in this territory."

Alex wanted to complain, but looking at Henry’s expression at this point as he spoke about a battle that was about to erupt, he immediately understood that things were not good.

"Are zombies already attacking?" Alex immediately asked. Just as Henry had said, all the other matters were not important for now. Right now, as long as the zombies were not dealt with, perhaps he might end up dead.

So, it was better to cooperate with Henry right now, then find more information about the current situation that he was in later on. As for now, he understood one thing, as long as he was important, there was definitely no way that Henry was going to be against him. After all, they were both humans.

It was just that he could not see any information about Henry. But he was not that much surprised considering that he had not even been capable of seeing information about Alicia, despite the fact that he could see her name, while he could not see anything about Henry.

"They have yet to attack, but it should not be long before they do. So, before they start attacking, you better tell me about the advantages that you possess with the profession that you possess." Henry shook his head as he responded.

Alex took a deep breath before he revealed the information about his profession. In a normal situation, a person was definitely not supposed to reveal information about the profession that they possessed, if that particular profession was special or unique.

That was going to be an advantage that they were going to possess. But right now, it was very clear that Henry understood quite a bit about him, and that was the reason why he had been able to hasten the process of awakening the profession.

It turned out that the profession that Alex possessed was just as the system had informed Henry, a nemesis for the zombies.

The first ability that the profession granted Alex was called reversal. With this ability, Alex was capable of reversing the transformation of a zombie back to a human. Of course, all the zombies present within this world right now were actually humans before they had been turned into zombies.

But of course that was to eliminate some like Jason, who were no longer themselves anymore. But even then, there was a process of the transformation from being a human into a zombie. This ability that Alex possessed granted him the ability of reversing the process, making a zombie turn back into a human.

But of course, there was a limitation on how much he could reverse a process. As long as he was stronger than the other party, he would be able to reverse the process completely. But if he was not, he could only reverse the process subtly, allowing the other party to be able to regain their memories as humans.

It was just that despite the fact that they were going to be able to regain their memories during the time that they were humans, that did not imply that they were no longer zombies. Instead, they would behave just like how normal zombies would, but they were going to be conscious in their actions.

And if the strength of the zombie completely exceeded his own, there was definitely nothing that he could do to that particular zombie. So, all in all, this ability that he possessed was definitely something that depended on his own personal strength.

But of course, it was not a matter of combat level, but instead, it was just a matter of the level that he possessed. And that was definitely something that Henry kept in mind.

For this first ability, the zombie that was going to be transformed back into a human was going to possess half of the strength that they possessed during the time that they were a zombie.

As for the second ability, it was called advanced reversal ability. For this ability, it was just an advanced version of the first ability. It was just that the strength of the zombie that had been converted back into human would possess the full strength that was possessed during the time that they were a zombie.

It was only after hearing about the ability that this guy possessed that Henry finally realized why he was referred to as a nemesis of the zombie race.

The zombies were working hard in order to convert humans into zombies. This way, they would possess a great advantage over the members of the other races when it came to the numbers.

But now, there was a person that was capable of reversing the process. Additionally, all those that had been converted back into humans would never be zombies again. That implied that the number of zombies and the potential number of people that could be turned into zombies was also reducing permanently.

After understanding everything about the ability that this guy possessed, Henry decided that he was going to test it out first. After all, all that he had received was Alex’s words. As for if what he was saying was true or not, he had to make sure of it.

"Let us go and test out this ability of yours. If it works, then you are going to have a lot of work to do. But be assured that there is going to be an advantage of doing that part of the job." Henry stated.

Alex immediately agreed. It seemed that Henry was definitely not on the side of the zombies. Since that was the case, that implied that his safety was almost guaranteed as long as Henry was stronger than whatever zombie was sent his way.

But before going out, he looked at Henry and said, "If I go out of this place, the zombies are going to be capable of knowing that I am here. It is only due to the fact that I passed out that they were not capable of detecting where I am. But now that I am awake, and once I go out of this building, they will be able to know that I am here."

Alex had already understood about the fact that the zombies were capable of detecting his presence as long as he was in a certain range. So, he was kind of afraid that if he went out of this place, the zombies would start coming over. That way, the territory was definitely going to face a lot of trouble.

"Don’t worry about that. Let us just test the ability that you possess. And if it works, you are going to be turning the zombies back into humans. If you do that, the merits that you will be possessing will definitely increase. So, you can be assured that the benefits that you are going to get in this territory are going to rise." Henry stated.

When Alex saw the attitude that Henry possessed at the mention of the zombies, he was immediately relieved. It seemed that this guy was quite strong that he was capable of ignoring the zombies. But then again, it could actually be ignorance. But in any case, there was nothing that he could do.

With the two of them coming to an agreement, they left the building, with Henry already communicating with Dylan to catch as many zombies as possible so that they could be brought over. Of course, all the zombies had to be brought over alive.

All this while, while Henry was busy trying to wake up Alex before coming to an agreement with him, something else was happening outside.

After Sammy landed on the ground heavily, he immediately got back to his feet. But this time, he did not try to rush after Henry, despite the fact that he could see him in the distance going towards the building’s entrance.

At this point, there was no need for him to try anything. Just by the fact that he had been thrown away for several meters was enough to tell him that the difference between the two of them was extremely high, and he was definitely not going to be capable of dealing with Henry no matter how much he tried.

But still, he could not help but feel aggrieved. Why was it that he was humiliated in such a way? Was level 8 of the gold rank that weak? After all, according to his calculations, in this stage of the apocalypse, his power level was actually supposed to be quite high, right?

Just as he was still contemplating on his life, Wendy came over. Looking at Sammy who looked completely lost, she could not help but feel sorry for him. So, she decided to comfort him.

"It is better if you don’t try fighting against him. After all, he is already in the diamond rank. Additionally, he is not the only one here who is at the Diamond rank. There is actually a group that he came together with, and I do believe that each and every one of them is already at the diamond rank." Wendy stated.
