Chapter 390: Loyal Follower

"What do you want here?" Sammy asked in a deep voice that completely contrasted with his body stature.

At this point, although he was not sure about the reason why these two people were here, just from the information that he had received from the two of them, whereby he had not received any information about the young man, he realized that all of them were extraordinary.

At this stage of the apocalypse, Sammy understood that it was extremely difficult to find a person that had managed to reach level 8 of the gold rank. Those that had managed to reach this level were definitely considered as powerhouses within the place that they were located.

It was true that from time to time, Sammy would go out in order to level up. But even then, that did not imply that he had been interacting with the members of this territory all this while. To him, all of them did not matter other than Alicia who had saved his life.

So, he did not pay much attention to them, and neither did he care much about the information that was related to them. There was a time that Alicia wanted to give him information about the territory, but he decided to not care much about the information considering that to him, the information did not matter, as he would always be on Alicia’s side.

But now, he realized that he had made a very big mistake. Had he actually known about the information of the members of the territory, right now, he would have not been in this situation where he did not know if the people in front of him were enemies or not.

Despite it being true that the two people in front of him did not reveal any malicious intent, and neither did they give out any killing intent, there was no way that he was going to trust them just like that. After all, in the apocalypse, a person could change at a flip of a hand.

Having already experienced that himself, Sammy was not willing to just trust anybody. The only person that he trusted in this world right now was Alicia. As for the others, he never trusted them at all.

"Ahem! We are here to see Alex." Wendy cleared her throat before she responded. Initially, she had already told him the reason why they were here. But since the other party was not even paying attention, he had not even heard what she had been saying at that time.

Of course Wendy was not happy about the attitude that the other party was showing. But just because he was on Alicia’s side, she decided not to do anything about it. At the end of it all, the two of them were at the same level.

So, if the other party wanted to show an attitude, he had to consider her ability as well. After all, the two of them were at the same level, and if the two of them decided to fight, it was not easy to be able to tell who was going to win and who was going to lose.

The moment that Wendy mentioned the name Alex, the vigilance that was present within Sammy’s eyes suddenly increased. The number of people that knew about the presence of the person named Alex within this territory was extremely low.

During the rescue mission, those that were involved included Alicia, Wendy, Aaron, and a few others. But the others had already died. As for how they had died, that was something normal considering that this was the apocalypse.

Nevertheless, Sammy did not know about the fact that Wendy knew about the presence of Alex in this place. This was due to his ignorance of the information about the territory.

"Unless you have permission from the leader of this territory, you are not allowed to meet up with Alex. Otherwise, if you try to force yourselves here, I’m going to make sure that I send you back, but I promise that it will not be in a single piece." Sammy stated as he entered into his combat ready mode.

It was true that he himself did not know about the reason why Alex was secluded in this place. But even then, he understood one thing, and that was the fact that this guy was extremely important, and his safety was something that he had to make sure of. So, even if he had to lose his life, he had to make sure that this young man continued to stay alive, because this was a task that had been assigned to him by Alicia.

"The leader is currently in an unconscious state. The person that is in charge of the territory is this one here, Henry." Wendy responded. Of course she had already understood about the personality that this guy possessed considering that Alicia had already told her about him.

The moment that Wendy said that Alicia was currently unconscious, Sammy’s expression suddenly changed. He had not expected that during the time that he was here, Alicia had faced a problem.

Of course he had also noticed that there was a battle that was going on out of the territory. But according to the information that he possessed, he believed that it was going to be impossible for this territory to be attacked by either the military, or the members of the other races considering that they had to consider the other forces that were present within the area of this city.

At the time, he believed that he was not that much required. But if he was required, Alicia would definitely call for him. But considering that Alicia was stronger than himself, he believed that he would definitely not be of much use in a situation where Alicia was not capable of dealing with a problem. It was not as if he himself possessed any special or unique trait, other than his extraordinary strength.

"What happened to her?" Sammy immediately asked. To him, all that mattered was Alicia’s safety first. As for Alex, although it was true that he really cared about his safety considering that this was the duty that he had been assigned to by Alicia, as long as Alicia was in danger, he was ready to abandon this young man, and go ahead to help out Alicia.

"Alicia is currently in a special condition. But nevertheless, let us focus on the present first. We don’t have that much time considering that things are going to change very soon. The zombies and the goblins have already began making their moves, so it is not going to be difficult for the monsters to begin attacking." Henry stated without allowing Wendy to respond.

He was here with only a single reason, and that was to meet up with this person called Alex. As for the rest of the matters, those were none of his concern. To him, as long as Alex was capable of doing something that gave the zombies a disadvantage, that was something that he was looking forward to amplify.

That way, they would be able to deal with the zombies considering that they were the greatest enemies that the humans were going to face. After all, completely unlike the members of the other races, the zombies mainly targeted humans. And true to that, humans were the ones that made up the zombies as long as they were affected by the virus.

Sammy was completely displeased by the fact that Henry was talking to him in such an indifferent manner. Initially, he would have already gone ahead and attacked Henry had he talked to him in such a way outside of this place.

But considering that he did not know any information about Henry, and he was the one that was currently leading the territory, he decided to prevent himself from doing anything impulsive. At the end of it all, he was not sure if whatever he did was going to affect Alicia negatively.

"I do understand that we are in battle with the members of the other races. But that does not involve the person that I am here to protect. So, unless you give me a good and valid reason, I’m not going to allow you in." Sammy stated resolutely. At this point, he had decided that even if he was not capable of helping Alicia, at least, he had to complete the task that Alicia had assigned to him.

Henry could not help but frown a little. This guy was simply trying to waste time. Of course he also understood that this guy was also here to protect the person that was being targeted by the zombies. Just by the fact that he was being targeted by the zombies personally, that implied that he was of a great threat to the zombies.

So, it was not a surprise that he was going to be protected heavily. But nevertheless, Henry was not here to joke around considering that he was here for a serious matter. He understood that since he had already killed Jason, and Hurgh, the balance that existed between the forces within the surrounding areas had already disappeared.

So, he would not find it strange that the goblins and the zombies had been attacked. But of course, the ones that were going to be attacked were going to be the humans and the goblins.

Unless the zombies found another leader, they would definitely not be capable of organizing themselves to be able to attack humans on a large scale. Although it was not impossible for several hordes of zombies to come over and attack human territories, they would definitely not be of the same level.

Henry did not say anything else. Instead, he took a step forward and began approaching the building that was behind Sammy. At this point, he had realized that it was going to be impossible to be able to talk to this person about reason. After all, as long as Alicia was unconscious, this guy was not going to allow them to enter into this place.

As for waking up Alicia, that was something that was impossible to do for this stage of the apocalypse. So, Henry decided to do what was necessary.
