Chapter 387: Another One?

Booom!

Another explosion rang into the air as a shockwave was generated, blowing a thick cloud of dust into the air.

When the cloud dissipated, a headless body could be seen lying on the ground. Around the body, there was a puddle of blood that had already began spreading out of the place where the head was, considering that even the neck was blown up.

Adam, who was like a person who was wearing a red armor looked coldly at the body on the ground. Then gradually, the intensity of the red light that was contained in the armor that he was currently putting on due to the solidification of the aura began dimming down.

Finally, the red aura that was surrounding his body completely disappeared. In the next moment, the red within his eyes also began dissipating, and finally, his eyes regained their original color.

Adam looked at the body of the goblin that was on the ground. At this point, he was finally regaining his senses and control over his body. During the time that he was fighting against the goblin, although it was true that he was not in control, he could see everything that was happening from another perspective.

Although it was true that the injuries that he had suffered during the battle had already begun healing due to the self regeneration that he possessed, the pain that came from the injuries that had been inflicted on his body was still present for a good while before it disappeared.

Adam looked around for a while, before he finally found what he was looking for. Of course it was not other than the mutation crystal. The main reason why he had attacked the goblin was simply because he wanted the mutation crystal so that Alicia could be healed.

As for the other reasons such as the goblin targeting his sister for food, that was just another extra reason. Nevertheless, it was not as if the goblin was going to be able to do something like that considering that he was currently present. Moreover, Alicia was currently in an unconscious state. So, his main focus was to make sure that she woke up.

Adam went ahead and picked up the mutation crystal. But nevertheless, just covering that small distance was something that consumed a lot of energy. It seemed that his body was completely worn out during that battle.

Just after he had picked up the mutation crystal and stood up once again, he looked towards the direction of the territory. At this point, he could see that Henry was looking at him.

Adam could not help but smile. This was the real definition of a brother to him. Although it was true that Henry possessed much more power than him, and if he was the one that was dealing with the goblin, he would have already been capable of dealing with it in just a matter of a few seconds.

But nevertheless, Henry did not get involved in the battle, despite the fact that there was a time that Adam felt that he was not capable of dealing with the goblin in a short time. Additionally, during the time that he had descended into madness, Henry did not attack at all.

But the thing that made him appreciate Henry’s value was the fact that during the time that the goblin was trying to run away, the dragon that was still in the air had simply made a move in order to stop the goblin from leaving this place. Otherwise, with the condition that the goblin was in at that time, just a single attack from the dragon was definitely capable of dealing great damage to the goblin, or even possibly killing it.

It was a good thing that Henry did not kill the goblin the moment but it tried to run away. Otherwise, Adam was not really sure if he could have succeeded in getting out of the state that he was in, considering that in order for that state to be deactivated, the reason why he had entered into that state had to be fulfilled first.

Adam was just about to shout towards Henry to inform him about his completion of acquiring the mutation crystal when suddenly, everything around him became blurry. Then without even knowing what happened, he collapsed onto the ground as he passed out.

Henry who had been observing everything from a distance could not help but shake his head. Then, without hesitation, he jumped down from the wall and rushed towards the direction that Adam had collapsed in.

After he got there, he picked Adam up and carried him on his shoulder. After observing it, he realized that just as the information had revealed, the mutation crystal was at level 5 of the diamond rank. After that, he picked up the mutation crystal, together with a skill scroll that had dropped after the death of the goblin.

Henry was not that worried about Adam. He had simply passed out because his body had been overworked. On the state that he was in earlier, he could not feel anything, not even the pain that his body was undergoing during the time that they attacks that he was experiencing dealt damage to him.

Adam required some time in order to be able to recover. As for how long that was going to take, Henry was not sure about it considering that the system did not inform him about it.

After taking everything, Henry went back into the territory. After getting back to the main territory building, he brought Adam to his parents house. The moment that they saw the unconscious Adam, they could not help but be dumbfounded.

It was not long ago, just a few hours ago that they had to take care of the unconscious Alicia. They did not know about the condition that she was in, and yet here, Adam had already been brought over, also in an unconscious state. What the heck was going on here?

When Henry noticed the worry that the couple was having, he informed them that Adam’s condition was not permanent. Perhaps by the following day, he would be back onto his own feet.

So, after making sure that Adam had gotten a place to rest, Henry went back to meet up with his parents. After a talk with them, he finally got his own free time. Then, he decided to do what was required.

In order to be able to purchase a lightning domain talisman, he required seven level 3 Diamond rank mutation crystals. But currently, Henry possessed a single level 5 diamond rank mutation crystal, something that was way above what he had expected to get at this stage of the apocalypse.

Without hesitation, Henry utilized the system store in order to convert the level 5 diamond rank mutation crystal into 100 level 4 diamond rank mutation crystals. After that, he selected one level 4 diamond rank mutation crystal before he converted it into 100 level 3 diamond rank mutation crystals.

With the conversion complete, Henry did not hesitate to enter into the system store to look for the lightning domain talisman. The moment that he found it within the system store, he did not waste any time and immediately made a purchase.

The balance of his mutation crystals reduced, and immediately after that, in the system inventory, a talisman appeared.
