Chapter 373: An Olive Branch?

The prompt that had appeared in front of Henry was the one that appeared in front of everybody else, not from the soul system.

Henry was a little surprised by the appearance of the system prompt. He had not expected that he had actually discovered the core of the zombie territory.

Even in his territory back in the Domination Star territory, he did not know where the core of the territory was located. Nevertheless, according to the system that was in charge of the apocalypse, there was an aura that was being emitted by the core of the territory.

That aura attracted apocalyptic creatures towards it, as it was a source of power, and those apocalyptic creatures that consumed it would be able to have a boost in their own strength.

The altar that was located on the top most floor of the main territory building of the zombie territory was actually the core of the territory.

Henry had already been contemplating on whether he was going to destroy this altar or not. But he had not expected a surprise like this. So without hesitation, he immediately chose to take over the territory.

He had received information about the sacrificial altar. But nevertheless, that did not imply that he was capable of constructing another sacrificial altar. For that reason, Henry decided to keep the altar, rather than destroying it.

That implied that he was going to take over the territory. As for the matter of the zombies outside, that was not something that he really cared much about. In any case, it was not as if all those zombies outside of the territory were capable of breaking the invisible territory barrier that was at the same level as himself.

The moment that Henry selected to take over the territory, the altar that had been dim all this while suddenly lit up with a bright red light. In any case, the altar itself was already red as if it was painted by blood. But nevertheless, now, there was a light that was shooting out of it, completely illuminating the floor where Henry and Adam were currently located in.

Adam had been looking at Henry, wondering why it was that Henry was taking a lot of time to destroy the altar. Nevertheless, he did not tell Henry to hurry things up. Instead, he continued waiting, believing that Henry understood the current situation that Alicia was in.

But he could not help but be dumbfounded the moment that he realized that there was light that was shooting out of the altar a few moments after Henry had touched the altar.

Adam was forced to squint his eyes due to the intensity of the light that was shooting out of the altar. Still, he managed to see what was going on immediately after his eyes slightly adapted to the light that was coming out of the altar.

The moment that the light shot out of the altar, it completely illuminated the entire floor. In the next moment, an even more bright light came out of the altar and charged towards Henry.

The moment that the light shot towards him, Henry instinctively wanted to dodge. But it was at that point that he suddenly realized that he could not make any movements at all, as if he was frozen in place.

He could only watch as the light that had shot out of the altar charged towards him, before it finally sank into his chest. The moment that the light entered into his body, Henry suddenly felt that he had been taken out of the place that he was in. It was as if he had suddenly been taken in another place completely different from the world that he was used to.

In this world, everything was completely bloody. The sky was a blood red, the smell in the air was that of iron, indicating that it was the smell of blood. The ground beneath his feet was red, as if it had been soaked in blood.

In short, in this world where there was nothing visible other than the ground and the sky, everything was simply bloody, making Henry feel slightly uncomfortable. Although he himself had already engaged in slaughter of the members of the other races, and had even caused the existence of a bloody flood, this was just slightly overwhelming to him.

Henry began looking around, but nonetheless, he could not spot anything. It was as if he was the only existence that was present within this world. As for the size of the world, it was extremely huge, and he could not see the end of it other than the horizon that was in the distance around him.

Henry frowned. He felt the ground beneath his feet, and realized that it was extremely solid just like the ground in the normal world.

At that point, Henry began walking forward. His movements were extremely cautious, as he did not know where he was, and neither did he know what kind of dangers existed in this place.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

As he began moving forward, he heard his footsteps as he moved. The entire place was completely silent, that he could even hear the sound of his own breathing.

Henry continued moving. At the same time, he kept his eye on the surroundings, to ensure that he was not sneak attacked.

After about 10 minutes, Henry suddenly realized that there was a change in the air. Ever since he had began moving, he had not noticed any change ever since he entered into this place, until over 9 minutes ago.

But now, Henry suddenly realized that killing intent had suddenly appeared. As for the source of killing intent, he could not detect it at all. Instead, it was as if the source of the killing intent was all over around him, without any specific point to speak of.

Henry stopped his movements at this point as he completely focused on his surroundings, trying to find any existence that was giving out the killing intent. Of course he understood that there had to be an existence that was watching him considering that the killing intent was directed towards him.

After waiting for about a minute, finally, Henry looked in a certain direction. There, he saw that blood that had appeared out of nowhere suddenly began condensing into a figure of a human.

The moment that the figure managed to condense, blood red eyes looked directly towards Henry. The moment that he met with the gaze of the figure that was still wrapped in blood, Henry suddenly felt a chill running down his spine.

At this point, he suddenly felt that he was completely helpless in front of this existence. It was as if this existence wanted to kill him, it was only going to take a snap of a finger to be able to completely eliminate him.

Nevertheless, Henry did not show any fear on his face. To him, it was better to die than to submit. Additionally, for some reason, he could tell that this figure that was looking at him was definitely not human at all.

"You are quite someone I see. I had not expected that the human race is going to get a human like you. But still, this is not that much, considering that the dangers that are present within the apocalypse are not things that humans can easily handle." The figure opened his mouth that was located on the face that was also covered in blood and spoke in a heavy voice.

Henry did not respond, but just from the speech of the other party, it was clear to him that it was definitely not a human that was speaking to him.

As for the compliment of this figure, Henry did not take it to heart. Instead, he simply focused on the part where this figure said that they had not expected a person like him to exist.

Well, what could he say? He had managed to get the system, something that had enabled him to be able to reach this point in the apocalypse. He was not sure if he could have actually managed to reach this level if he did not have the system.

Well, it was actually true that he would have definitely not been capable of reaching this point, considering that he would not have been able to purchase all the items that he had purchased from the system store.

"Leaving all of that aside, I’m here with only one reason. I can see that you are trying to take over the territory that belongs to the zombies. That implies that you are going to take over our sacrificial altar." The figure continued speaking. At the same time, the blood that was covering his figure began dropping, revealing his figure slowly.

While all of this was going on, the other party continued speaking. "That means that you have already managed to deal with Jason. That is a little surprise to me, but not by much considering that Jason is one of the low ranking zombies that had been transformed from the humans using the altar."

The moment that he finished speaking those words, the blood that was covering his figurehead finally completely disappeared into thin air.

What was revealed in front of Henry was a figure of a middle-aged man with bloody red hair. His eyes matched the color of his hair. He possessed striking appearance that could not be easily forgotten once a person saw him.

Currently, he was draped in a silky red robe that possessed several black lines on the cuffs. On the chest, there was an image that had been drawn using black ink, and it looked like that of a monster with sharp fangs.

Completely ignoring that Henry was scrutinizing him, the figure continued. "I’m here to give you an olive branch. Join the zombie race, and be able to reach the top. Refuse and become an enemy and one of the main targets of the zombie race."
