Chapter 372: Sacrificial Altar

There was actually a method that was capable of healing a person’s consciousness? Why was it that he had never heard of it?

One had to understand that the consciousness that was present within Jason’s body was not that one that belonged to Jason. Instead, it belonged to a member of the zombie race that existed for several years, during the olden era.

Due to that, the knowledge that the consciousness that was present within Jason’s body currently was definitely possessing a lot of information that was currently not known within this world.

But as one could expect, the consciousness that was currently present within Jason’s body was definitely not the most ancient one. Otherwise, it would have been almost impossible for it to be able to be defeated just like that by Henry and the others.

But nevertheless, the amount of information that the consciousness possessed was definitely not to be underestimated. But even with all that information, it did not know about any information of there existing a technique or anything that was capable of saving a person’s consciousness that was currently damaged as Alicia’s was.

Well, actually, a technique and several other items that were capable of doing that actually existed. It was just that in this stage of the apocalypse, something like that was definitely not supposed to be available.

"You don’t have to worry. I’m going to help you with that. At the same time, we will have to deal with this city first. This is our home, so we have to make sure that we take over this entire place.

So, while we are looking for mutation crystals in order to be able to help Alicia heal up, we will also be taking over this entire place, eliminating all the members of the other races present within this city and around." Henry stated.

Adam nodded his head. In any case, it was not as if what Henry was saying was going to disrupt his plan. In any case, they were going to battle against the members of the other races.

Although there were going to be many useless targets, that did not change the fact that even if he decided to target those high ranking members of the other races, they would definitely send their own subordinates to come over and combat against the humans.

After the two of them came to an agreement, they finally focused on Jason. Jason on the other hand did not say anything, and just continuously stared at the two people who were looking down on him.

Henry did not even bother to respond to what Jason was asking. Of course he understood that the system was definitely beyond this stage of the apocalypse. In fact, Henry did not even understand much about the system, but he understood that the system was definitely not against him, at least for now.

As for whether it was going to be against him in the future, that was something that he didn’t know. That was the reason why he had been trying as much as possible in order to be able to become much more stronger. Perhaps he could break free from the restrictions of the system.

Henry looked at Adam, and gave him a nod. Immediately after that, he completely ignored Jason, and headed towards where Alicia was currently lying.

Adam did not require Henry to tell him anything. Instead, as Henry walked away, Adam focused on Jason. The next moment, just before Jason could ask another question that was disturbing his mind, Adam utilized his battle ax to slash towards Jason.

Of course he did not target the head. But instead, he targeted the lower part of the body. And he continuously slashed as he moved upwards.

Jason was caught completely off-guard as he had not expected that Adam was going to attack at this point. Nevertheless, there was nothing that he could do to resist as he was completely powerless, and all of his limbs had already been chopped off.

Adam slashed Jason into pieces from bottom to top. This was just a method that he was utilizing in order to vent out the anger that was boiling in his heart. But even after he was done with that, making sure that Jason had already died, he was not satisfied.

So, he went ahead and created a very gory scene where blood splattered everywhere as Adam made sure that all that was left of Jason was none other than a few pieces of meat and blood that was spread on the ground.

As Adam left that place, he was splattered with blood on some part of his body. But he completely ignored them, and looked towards the direction that his sister was. There, he realized that Henry had already carried Alicia, princess carry.

Adam could not help but feel a little relieved after realizing that Henry was taking care of his sister. It seemed that Henry still cared about his sister, and perhaps the engagement that the two of them had already gotten into before the Apocalypse was going to work out.

Adam was definitely not going to force any of them to marry each other. As long as any of them did not want to, then he would not force the situation. But nevertheless, he really hoped that the two of them would get together. This way, the bond that existed between him and Henry would get stronger.

"Let’s go. We have to get out of here as soon as possible. Otherwise, the zombies that are outside would definitely overwhelm those that we have left outside." Completely ignoring the gaze that he was receiving from Adam, Henry stated as he led the way out of the place.

Adam was just about to start following Henry when suddenly, he looked towards the altar that was located in the middle of the room. Then, he said, "Should we destroy this altar? We don’t really know much about what it is that the zombies are going to use this altar for, but nevertheless, what if they can utilize it to strengthen themselves?"

After hearing that, Henry finally realized that he had forgotten about that. It was just that he was kind of much focused on the matter of finding apocalyptic features that had already reached level 3 of the diamond rank, although he understood that it was kind of difficult.

After receiving a reminder form Adam, he went ahead and handed over Alicia to Adam. Then, taking out the raging fire flood sword, Henry approached the altar.

The killing intent that was coming from the altar had not yet dissipated even after he had dealt with Jason. Nonetheless, Henry did not focus much on the killing intent. Instead, he looked at the altar.

It was true that he did not understand how to utilize this altar. But that was when the system came in. Henry had already realized that he had been underutilizing the system too much.

So, while holding his sword in his right hand, Henry stretched his left hand and touched the altar. The moment that he did so, a system prompt appeared in front of him.

The moment that Henry received that prompt, a huge load of information was suddenly poured into his mind. Henry felt dizzy for a moment, as the information that he had received was extremely bulky.

Yes, Henry had decided to utilize the system’s ability that enabled him to be able to know how to utilize an item or equipment at the basic level.

Since Henry received information about how to utilize an item, it was obvious that he also received information about the item as well, gaining an understanding of it.

So at this point, Henry immediately understood what the altar was, and what its main function was. The main function of the altar was actually just what Jason had utilized it for. It was used for transforming normal humans into zombies.

But the zombies that were going to be transformed were not going to be normal zombies, but instead, it would be the consciousness of other zombies that would descend into the bodies of the humans that would be placed on the altar, before the consciousness of the humans would be replaced completely.

There was yet another function of the sacrificial altar. Just as the name suggested, it was for sacrificial offerings. It was just that the sacrifices that were going to be offered on this sacrificial altar was not that of humans or members of the other races, but instead, it was for those zombies themselves.

As long as the zombies managed to sacrifice a certain number of zombies, they would be able to receive an increase in strength. It was just that only a single person, rather, a zombie that had done the sacrifice offering was the one that was going to receive the strength boost.

Henry’s mind spun as he considered the options that were available. Should he destroy the altar, or should he just take over this place?

Just as Henry was contemplating on what to do, another system prompt appeared in front of him.
