Chapter 339: Hidden Aim (2)

"This does not look good. It seems that the zombies might be making their moves very soon." With a grim expression on her face, Alicia muttered in a low voice.

This was not the first time that Alicia had felt the killing intent that came from within the center of the city. Every time that killing intent came from that direction, the zombies would always attack.

But due to the fact that the zombies were currently organized, they did not attack rashly. But instead, they attacked with strategies. And to make matters worse, every time that they attacked, the human race would suffer a huge loss.

For the zombies, it was not troublesome for them to be able to refill the numbers that they had lost. As long as they found a group of humans, they would be able to turn them into zombies. But for the humans, they had no capability of turning the zombies back into humans.

With that, each and every time that a human died, they would only depend on reproduction to refill their numbers. Otherwise, the human race would definitely be exterminated.

But still, reproduction was definitely the slowest method that they could utilize right now in order to increase their own numbers. After all, the majority of the people thought that this world, a world that was infested with members of different races, with battles occurring every day, and large numbers of lives being taken each passing day, it was better if they did not bring in an offspring of their own.

Bringing an offspring into this world was no different from bringing a burden that they had to take care of. So, instead of forcing themselves to abandon their own children to save themselves, it was better if they did not bring the children into this world at all.

Alicia already understood the cruelty of the situation. She was not sure who the zombies were going to target this time. But still, she hoped that the target of the zombies would not be her territory. If they were the target of the zombies, the military would definitely retreat, and leave them to fight against the zombies.

In that situation, they would definitely not be able to prevent the military from leaving this place. If they tried to stop them from leaving this place, that implied that they had to send part of their own strength in order to deal with the military, preventing them from leaving at all. But if they did so, they would be risking the zombies managing to break into the territory.

After a moment of thought, Alicia decided that it was better if they dealt with the military here right now. It was better for them to prepare for the zombies, rather than trying to save energy, trying to prevent the military from attacking them with full force, when there was a risk of the zombies attacking them.

At this point, Alicia thought that perhaps the military was only attacking them because they wanted to make sure that they exhausted some of the strength of this territory. If that happened, during the time that the zombies would be attacking, this territory would be at a great disadvantage against them.

She was just about to give a command when suddenly, she noticed that someone was approaching. Of course she could have ignored the person who had come over had it not been the fact that the one who had come over was Aaron.

And since he had come over, it was obvious that he had a target in mind, and she was definitely the target that he was having. Of course Alicia’s expression turned frosty.

The moment that Aaron arrived, he went ahead and stood next to Alicia. Then, he said in a low voice, "These members of the military are definitely gutsy. They don’t really care about the fact that if they attack right now, the zombies would decide to attack as well due to the fact that the majority of the zombies that do not have intelligence would be attracted over by the noise."

Alicia did not say anything. But from the corner of her eyes, she was observing Aaron. And, looking at the expression that was on his face, it was clear that he was not angry at all. It was just that the tone that he was having was one that indicated that he was actually feeling angry.

It seems that this guy had not trained that much when it came to acting. Right now, he was clearly telling her that he did not care if the military attacked right now or not.

With that thought in mind, Alicia turned her head and looked at Aaron. Then, she asked with a stern expression on her face, "I hope that you are not the one who had initiated the battle. If you went ahead and provoked the military, making them to start attacking right now, you have to know that there are consequences of every action that you take."

Aaron was slightly surprised after hearing what Alicia had said. Then, he looked at her with a wronged expression as he asked, "What kind of a person do you think that I am? Do you believe that I would just go ahead and provoke the military to attack? They already said that they were going to attack in 3 days. So, that implied that no matter what, in 3 days, they were going to attack anyways."

At the same time as Aaron spoke, Alicia paid close attention to his words, his change of expression and tone. It was then that she noticed something that made her expression turned even more cold.

"So, simply because they said that they were going to attack in 3 days, you thought that it was better if they attacked us right now?" Alicia asked.

Under the illumination of the light, even though it was night time, Aaron could clearly see the expression that was on Alicia’s face. At this point, Aaron suddenly realized that perhaps he had revealed something that he was not supposed to.

But still, he was not willing to acknowledge that he was the one who had actually made the military attack right now. So, he simply went ahead and said, "I say Alicia, just what kind of a person do you think that I am? My family is present within this territory. So, why would I want this territory to be destroyed?"

At the same time as Aaron said those words, he tried to make sure that he maintained his composure. He even went ahead and waved his hands, trying to show how helpless he was in this situation.

Of course Alicia did not fall into the tricks that he was playing. She had already seen through his plots, and it seemed that just as she had expected, Aaron was never against his father at all. They were in the same boat from the very start.

"You want me to tell you what kind of a person you are? You are an extremely cunning and scheming person. You are a person who is petty enough to be able to go ahead and destroy an entire family because a girl refused to be your plaything.

You are the kind of person who will do anything, no matter the consequences, to gain what you want. You are a person who doesn’t care about morals and the human values at all." Not withholding anything back, Alicia stated everything bluntly.

At this point, since it was very clear that Aaron had his own intentions, and they were not things that were going to benefit the territory, there was no need for her to be playing anymore.

She had already tolerated Aaron and the other group of people that was opposing her. And right now, there was no need for her to go ahead and still pretend to be nonchalant about their actions. Since they had already decided to take action against the territory, there was nothing that was going to change now.

Aaron’s eyes widened after hearing what Alicia had said. He had not expected that Alicia actually knew about his true personality. This was something that he had tried as much as possible to make sure that he hid from her. All of this was just to make sure that he created a good impression on Alicia, so that she could accept being his woman.

But he had not expected that Alicia had managed to find out that information. And just as Alicia had said, he was an extremely petty person. Every time that he wanted something, he always made sure that he got it.

It did not matter the method that he was going to use, or the consequences of his actions. To him, as long as he was strong enough, then everything that he wanted was entitled to him.

With that kind of mindset, that was the reason why he was a tyrant. But of course, this was before he met with Alicia. The moment that he met with Alicia and got some information about her, he realized that the behavior that he was having was definitely not something that Alicia was going to agree to.

Initially, he was planning that as long as he got Alicia, then got her in bed, he believed that there was no way that she was going to leave him, according to the personality and principles that she possessed. But it seemed that the plan that he was having was going to be abandoned as it was not going to be feasible.

Nevertheless, the surprise that was on his face disappeared just after a few seconds. With a smile on his face, he looked at Alicia and asked nonchalantly, "So what if you know? It is not as if it is going to change anything.

At this point, I’m pretty sure that you are completely helpless. Let me tell you in advance, it is not just the military that is going to attack, but even the zombies are going to do so.

And you know what, we are having some arrangements to make sure that even the goblins are going to attack. And of course, they are not going to attack the entire human race, but they are simply going to target this territory and this territory alone."
