Chapter 338: Hidden Aim (1)

"Okay. I require the updates of what has been happening during the time that I was not available." Alicia stated authoritatively as she looked at everyone around the table.

"Should have been present the entire time in order to be able to know what is going on." The man who had already taken his seat on Alicia’s right side stated in a low voice. Although he had spoken in a low voice, everyone around the table was strong enough to be able to hear what he had said.

The man completely ignored the attention that he received from the people around the table as they looked at him. As for Alicia, she did not even look at him at all. Instead, she simply focused on the person that was in charge of dealing with the information.

The matter concerning this person, that was something that she was going to deal with later on. But for now, she decided that she was not going to focus on him at all. Since the military had already began attacking, it was better for her to focus on that first.

A lady that was wearing a pair of silver armor stood up. She possessed long black hair, with brown eyes. She look like a person that was in her early thirties. She was carrying several folders in her hand.

She went ahead and opened the folder that was on top, before she began reading the information inside. "Currently, the military is attacking in waves. Currently, the highest power level that has been experienced is of a person that was at level 9 of the Silver rank.

They have decided to divide themselves into groups. One of them was in charge of dealing with the zombies that were attracted over by the sound of explosions that occurred during the fight. As for another, it was in charge of attacking our territory.

But still, as they attack, it is clear that they are not attacking us with their full strength. It is as if they are trying to preserve their strength, waiting for something. As for what it is that they are waiting for, we have not gotten information as of yet."

"The attacks from the military seems to be like those that are intending to provoke us. As for the reason why they are provoking us and why they are stalling for time, I’m not really sure about it."

Alicia listened to the information quietly. Even she herself was a little surprised. To say the truth, she had already expected that the military was going to attack. But still, the speed at which they had decided to attack them at was definitely against her expectations.

During the interactions that she had with the leaders of the military, she realized that although they were power hungry people, they were not stupid. Currently, attacking this territory was definitely not a good decision that could be made.

If they attacked this territory, it might be true that they would be able to take over considering the fact that they possessed incredible power as compared to Trista territory, but still, what losses were they going to suffer?

With the current dangers that surrounded them, it was very clear that even if they gained any disadvantage, they would definitely be taken advantage of by the members of the other races.

The zombies currently possessed a hierarchy of their own. There were several zombies that possessed intelligence. With the intelligence of the zombie, they were capable of strategizing and making decisions according to the circumstances.

So, the zombie race, the goblins, and the monster race. Those three were enemies. In case the human race gained any disadvantage, they would definitely be attacked by the three races.

Although Alicia had already noticed that the three races did not seem to be in good terms, still if something like that happened, then that implied that the human race was definitely going to fall at a great disadvantage, and it would not be difficult for them to be completely exterminated.

Of course the human race could have also gone ahead and decided to collaborate with another race to deal with the other races. But it was just that, the targets of the other races, the main target, was the human race. They could collaborate with other races to deal with the humans, but they would definitely never collaborate with humans to be able to deal with the other races.

Alicia frowned. At this moment, she was at a tight spot. This was simply because the military strength was already above that of her own territory. Then again, within her territory, there was internal strife.

This was just the trouble that was present within the human race. Then, what about the troubles that came from the other races? This was definitely something that was going to be extremely difficult for her to be able to deal with them at the same time.

So, at this point, Alicia hoped that the other races would not attack. Otherwise, if they did so, even if they did not simply target her own territory and targeted the military and the other two territories as well, she would still be the one that would be at a greater disadvantage.

After the briefing, Alicia remained silent as she thought of what decision she was going to make. Finally, after about 5 minutes, she spoke. "We have to be prepared for an all-out attack. Even if it is not from the military, it might come from the members of the other races."

When everybody heard that, they could not help But be momentarily stunned. They had not expected that Alicia was going to make such a decision.

Of course the majority of them still believed that although the military was attacking right now, perhaps this was just a strategy that they were using to try and frighten them, to intimidate them so that they could give in.

But was there really a need for them to prepare for an all out attack? This was going to be something that was going to cause a commotion within the territory, more than the one that they had already caused.

When Alicia looked at the faces of everyone around the table, she immediately understood what it was that they were thinking about. So, she decided to clarify everything. "What are all of you thinking? From the way that the military is attacking, it is very clear that they don’t have the intention of attacking us fully, at least not for now. But still, what is it that they are waiting for?"

When Alicia asked that question, nobody could respond. But still, they fell into a moment of contemplation. It was true what Alicia had just said. What was the real aim of the military in attacking them in such a way?

Was it just to intimidate them? After all, if the military really wanted to deal with them, they would have simply attacked them with all their strength. Was there really a need for them to send small groups of people to attack?

"It is the time for the battle for domination. So, first of all, all of you are supposed to be ready for bottle at any time. So, you better not relax at all, and make sure that you are ready to fight at any point in time." Alicia stated with a stern expression on her face.

Alicia went ahead and said a few more things. Of course, the majority of the things that she said were going to be useless, something that Alicia understood.

Currently, within the territory, she did not hold much sway over the majority of the higher ups. Still, she was not planning on depending on them during the time that the territory would be attacked.

For a person like her, it was better to fight alone, rather than depending on a person that could decide to attack her at any point in time.

She was pretty sure that as long as this group of people gained a chance of dealing with her, even if they risked the territory being destroyed, or being taken over by the military, they would definitely not hesitate to deal with her.

It was due to this reason that Alicia was extremely cautious against this group of people. And so far, she had been monitoring them silently, and she realized that they were definitely having some plans that she did not know.

She just hoped that whatever it was that they were planning, even if they wanted to deal with her, it was better for them not to involve the members of the other races. Because if they did something like that, no matter what, Alicia would make sure that they all died.

After the briefing, Alicia left the tent. She went directly towards the wall of the territory. From there, she observed the battle that was still going on. Both sides were fighting against each other, but none of them was attacking using full power.

Alicia frowned as she observed everything. From the way that she could see, it was as if the people from the military were simply here, trying to make sure that they drained the territory of their energy.

As for the members of the territory, they did not try to go all out. The reason behind that was simply because they believed that as long as they dealt with this group of people, perhaps the military might decide to attack them with their full strength. And, that was definitely something that was going to pose a great danger to them.

Alicia was also thinking along the lines. But, at this point, she suddenly felt there was a hint of killing intent that was coming from a distance. And the direction from which the killing intent was coming from was from the center of the city, the location where the majority of the zombies that had gained intelligence were located.

"This does not look good. It seems that the zombies might be making their moves very soon." With a grim expression on her face, Alicia muttered in a low voice.
