But with a frown on her face, she asked in a calm tone, "Are you still thinking about the engagement?"

Alicia remained silent for a moment. Then, she went ahead and responded. "Of course I have to think about it. I’m currently 21 years old. And the one that I got engaged to was someone that we had gotten engaged with more than 10 years ago. But he disappeared together with brother."

Cynthia looked at her daughter silently. Of course she understood that during the previous times, during the time that they were making the engagement between the two children, it was simply because of the friendship that existed between the two families.

Moreover, the marriage between the two of them was going to be able to increase the bond that was already existing at that time. As for the relationship between Alicia and the one that she was engaged to, it was extremely good.

And, currently, the one that Alicia was engaged to was someone that had disappeared for 10 years already. If they wanted to, they could have already canceled the engagement because the fiancé was no longer present.

Alicia did not respond directly to the question that her mother had asked. She was still in deep thought. The last time that she had seen him, it was during the time that she was only 10 years old.

At that time, she was extremely young to be able to think of anything. Moreover, at that time, it was difficult to be able to tell if it was just admiration or if what she had for him was actually love. But what she believed was that love did not exist at that time.

If he had turned into a person like Aaron, no matter what, even if he was alive, Alicia was definitely not going to agree to the marriage between them. "Okay then. Make sure that you take enough rest. You have been awake recently, and you rarely take rest. Even if you are extremely strong, you have to make sure that you take enough time to rest your body." Cynthia stated as she finally released Alicia’s hand. Then, she turned around and left.

Alicia watched as her mother left. She remained standing in the same position for a moment, contemplating on a few more things. Finally, after about a minute, she entered into her room, and decided to rest.

Just like her mother had said, it was true that she had not been resting so much recently. After all, the pressure that she was experiencing was extreme. It was not just the one that was coming from the military, but instead, even from within.

Without even noticing it, she fell into the embrace of sleep. She was not sure how long she had slept, but when she woke up, it was dark outside.

But at the same time, Alicia suddenly felt that there was something wrong with the atmosphere. And as if to prove the point, suddenly, she heard a commotion from a far.

Then an explosion occurred. The source of the explosion was obviously out of the territory considering that even with the explosion, she only heard it in a very low sound.

All the sleepiness that Alicia was feeling immediately disappeared. At the same time, she jumped out of the bed and took the equipment that she had taken off before she slept.

After equipping herself, she immediately rushed out of the room. When she got out of the room, she realized that her mother was already there.

With a slight frown on her face, she asked, "Mother, what’s going on?"

"The military is already attacking. It seems that they are not going to give us time. They have already decided to attack this night." Cynthia responded anxiously.

"But why did you not wake me up when they began attacking? In fact, how long has it been since they began attacking our territory?" Alicia asked with a frown on her face.

Of course she had already expected that the military was going to attack them. It was just that she had not expected that they were going to attack right now. Currently, attacking them was definitely going to cause the military to fall at a great disadvantage.

But still, she felt that this was definitely not a good sign. For her, she was the leader of the territory. That implied that since the military was attacking, she was supposed to be present. But for two consecutive hours, she had been absent.

This was definitely a chance that those that were opposing her were going to take. Additionally, perhaps the morale of the soldiers of the territory was going to drop drastically considering that the leader was not going to be there with them.

"Haah!" Alicia could only sigh. It had already happened. The only thing that she could do was now to focus on how to deal with the military. They had decided to attack, perhaps they were having a plan of their own. But still, she had to make sure that the losses that they were going to suffer were going to be as minimal as possible.

"Alright. I’m going out now. Just try to make sure that you remain within the territory. You can keep an eye on the things that are happening within the territory. As for me, I’m going to focus on everything that is related to the military that is attacking us." Alicia stated.

Then without waiting for her mother to respond, she rushed out of the floor that she was currently in, towards the elevator. She was not sure about the strategy that was going to be used by the soldiers of the territory to defend against the military. So, she needed to be updated about the plans that they were using.

Cynthia watched as Alicia rushed off. She could only shake her head when she saw this. She understood the pressure that Alicia was undergoing. Being a leader of a territory was definitely not an easy thing, especially if there were already internal problems within the territory.

"I hope that your brother comes back as soon as possible. Only after he is back, I’m pretty sure that the troubles that you are facing will be reduced. He is definitely the best person to take care of a situation like this." Cynthia muttered in a low voice. Of course, she was only speaking of what she knew about her son, when he was at the age of 10.
