Chapter 306: Twelve Gold Rank Mutant Zombies

The moment that the zombies reached a certain area, the gate of the territory was opened. At the same time, on top of the wall, the mages and other long-range attackers began attacking the zombies.

They had to take advantage of the zombies due to the fact that they could not attack from a long distance. And due to that, in just a matter of a few seconds, a large number of zombies were killed. But still, if compared to the total number of zombies that had come over today, the number of zombies that had been eliminated was nothing.

On the other hand, the moment that the gate was opened, several vehicles charged out of the territory. All of them were the vehicles that had been modified by Henry using the ability of the system.

The moment that they got past the gates, the vehicles began attacking from a long distance as well. Since the power of the vehicles had been enhanced by Henry, and since the majority of the zombies had not reached the silver rank, the damage that was caused by the vehicles that had been revealed from the territory was greater than those that were attacking on top of the wall.

Boom! Bang! Booom!

Explosions rang in the air as several attacks landed in the middle of the zombies. But, once a place was cleared of the zombies, another wave of zombies would come over and replace those that had been killed.

The large number of zombies was like an unending tide. But nevertheless, the attacks that were coming from the territory were also unending. The casualties of the zombies kept on increasing, but still, they kept on charging forward.

It was also at this moment that the lack of intelligence of the zombies was revealed. Had it not been for the fact that they did not have a leader, the danger that was posed by the zombies would have been higher.

Deciding to take advantage of the zombies, the attacks kept raining on them. And after realizing that they could not stop the zombies from approaching the territory, Nancy ordered for the attacks to be directed towards the back of the zombies.

The Zombies that were at the forefront were going to be dealt with by the vehicles. As for those at the back, just to make sure that they did not cause a lot of pressure for those that were in charge of controlling the vehicles, the mages and the long range attackers kept on attacking.

Of course the territory was being attacked from both sides. Due to that, the manpower of the territory had been divided severally. Nevertheless, thanks to Henry, the strength of the territory had been increased drastically. Otherwise, if they were at the same level as before during the first attack ever since Henry came to this territory, they would have definitely been overwhelmed by now.

Nancy was the one that was in charge of the main entrance. As for Henry and the others, they had been distributed around the entire territory, trying to make sure that there was no side that was completely overwhelmed.

With Nancy taking charge of the main entrance of the territory that was located in the north, Olivia had taken the southern part. Adam had taken the eastern, and Diana had taken the Western. As for Henry, he was not assigned to any position. But instead, he could move freely to any part of the city.

This was just to ensure that if there was a zombie that the group could not take care of, he was going to be in charge of eliminating it. Of course this was something that Henry was going to be capable of doing considering that he was the strongest amongst the entire group.

As for Lenta and Storm, the two of them were also moving around, looking for areas that the territory was about to be breached. It was true that the wall of the territory was extremely strong, but in the face of a strong silver rank zombie, it would definitely not be capable of holding up for long.

It was due to that reason that Lenta and Storm simply targeted the silver rank zombies. As for the rest, they could be completely ignored by the two of them, left behind to be handled by the members of the territory.

During this kind of attack, the territory manpower was not divided like before, where only a certain group of people was going to handle the attack. But instead, it was the entire full force of the territory that was in charge of defending.

It was true that several people had been selected to lead several groups, but still, all of them were working together to defend the territory. Inside this territory, not everybody was a fighter. There were people that possessed different other professions, and they required protection from the mutant warriors.

Henry was standing on top of the wall, looking at the zombies that continuously charged forward even though they were being killed relentlessly. He was frowning, while at the same time, trying to detect if there was any danger that was hidden.

It was true that this time, the strength of the zombies had been increased due to the descent of the third stage of the apocalypse. But nevertheless, Henry felt that there had to be something else other than just the third stage of the apocalypse.

The last time, they did not get the mastermind of the attack by the giant zombie. Even though no father attacks were launched towards the territory, but Henry felt that there had to be a reason why they were being prevented from leaving the territory.

It was just that no matter how much he thought about it, he could not come up with an answer to this question. So, the only solution that he had at this point was to keep an eye on his surroundings, trying to make sure that he could spot the danger the moment that it appeared.

Of course, while standing on top of the wall, occasionally, Henry would attack, trying to make sure that the group of people that was in charge of this side of the territory was not overwhelmed by the zombies.

It was inevitable that casualties would occur as long as there was a clash between zombies and humans. But just like before, each human that was killed by a zombie was immediately attacked by a fire mage.

Their bodies were burnt into ashes, trying to make sure that they did not become zombies, increasing the advantage that the enemies already possessed.

Even though the equipment and the skills that Henry had purchased from the system store had enabled the members of the territory to become stronger, but there were times that if a person did not know how to use what they possessed, they would end up failing even if they were stronger than their enemies.

After observing for about 20 minutes, Henry decided to move to another place. Currently, he had already taken several communication devices that were constructed within this territory, the ones that they were using to communicate.

He was the one that was going to be in charge of dealing with any danger that could not be handled. And due to that reason, his communication device was connected to everyone. So, if anything happened, he would be informed.

"Henry, in this direction, there seems to be a change that is happening." At this moment, coming from the speaker of the walkie-talkie, Adam’s voice reached his ears.

Henry did not hesitate. Immediately, he rushed towards the Eastern wall of the territory. He did not take the Jeep, but instead, he moved along the wall. He was not that far away from where Adam was. So, it took him about 10 minutes to arrive.

When he got there, he saw that completely unlike the other people, Adam had already began attacking. The guy was already in the middle of the zombies, easily massacring them with every single attack that he launched.

Of course Adam was not using any skill. But instead, he was just using his pure strength. But nevertheless, every single attack that he launched was capable of eliminating several zombies at the same time.

This had already boosted the morale of the group of people that were in this part of the territory. They were attacking the zombies fearlessly, just like how Adam had charged into the middle of the zombies.

But of course, unlike Adam who was capable of dealing with the zombies, several reckless people had also charged in the middle of the zombies, lacking the ability to defend against the large number of zombies, ending up being snacks of the zombies.

Henry simply looked at Adam for a moment, before he began observing the changes that Adam had been talking about. At this point, Henry also realized that the number of zombies that was attacking did not continue to increase at all.

But at the very back of the zombies that were still charging over, there was another group that was moving at a slow pace. Henry could not help but squint his eyes as he looked at the group.

The group did not possess many zombies. There were only 12 of them. But each of the 12 zombies was a mutant zombie, and all of them had already reached the gold rank.

Henry’s focus was not on the zombies, but instead, on that creature that was in the middle of the zombies. After focusing for a while, information about this creature was displayed in front of his eyes.
