Chapter 305: Zombies Attack

After collecting the mutation crystals, these groups went back to the territory. But of course, during this time, they found one thing strange, during the time that they were out, they did not encounter anyone from either of the two territories.

Nonetheless, they did not care about that. They just proceeded with what had taken them out of the territory. Of course they were also afraid that they would be attacked by another zombie like the one that had attacked before. So, although it was thrilling to use the jeeps when attacking the zombies, making them feel completely vulnerable, they did not want to take any risks.

After they went back, Henry progressed to the upgrades. He upgraded several more vehicles. Additionally, he went ahead and purchased several equipment from the system store. Of course during the time that these groups of people had gone out, they had encountered several silver rank zombies.

They had killed them all due to the equipment that they possessed. Henry also purchased several skills from the system store. But, he did not assign any of them to any person, instead, he gave them to Nancy.

She was the one that was going to decide on how the skills were going to be distributed. And for that, Nancy decided that the distribution was going to depend on the contribution of each person. Those that had contributed the most were going to receive the best skill scrolls.

With Henry producing several skills scrolls, Nancy could not help but wonder where he was getting all of this. Additionally, his abilities to be able to upgrade the vehicles was something that she had never heard of.

The more she knew about Henry, the more mysterious he became. It was as if there was nothing about him that could be understood.

Finally, after 2 days, Henry was completely done with the upgrade. It was also during this day that the apocalypse finally entered the next stage. The changes in the atmosphere, the group of people that lost their minds, having them getting secluded, and the thick red clouds in the air.

After the bloody rain, Henry immediately instructed Nancy that if they wanted to take care of this apocalypse, and the changes that were coming with it, they had to make sure that they dealt with the group of people that was affected by the killing intent that was brought about by the thick red clouds in the air.

Of course Nancy was hesitant about this. It was clear that this group of people had not yet transformed into zombies. Perhaps there was a chance that they would not transform into zombies. If they killed them even before the transformation, what would happen if they would have not transformed if they were not killed?

Henry immediately understood what Nancy was thinking about. He could not help but shake his head. As a leader of a territory, a person needed to be decisive. They had to be decisive enough to make the most cruel decisions, all for the good of the territory.

Henry himself had already been informed by the system that this third stage of the apocalypse was going to be extremely dangerous. And the changes that were occurring on this group of people that had been secluded was definitely not a good sign.

"If you think that I am wrong, then go ahead and leave them alive. Have you ever seen any human with such pale skin? This transformation that they are undergoing right now is definitely not for them to become humans. They are going to become something else." Henry stated with a frown on his face as he looked at the group of people that had been isolated.

He could clearly see that the changes on their skin was not a good sign. If they continued waiting, nobody could tell what was going to happen. And to say the truth, Henry was not willing to take any risk. Having already been informed that this stage of the apocalypse was going to be extremely dangerous, how could he allow the danger to continue existing?

Nancy thought that what Henry was saying was logically possible. Even she herself could see the transformation that was going on. Additionally, the changes that were occurring outside already informed her that the third stage of the apocalypse was going to come, even though the prompts had not appeared.

After hesitating for a while, Nancy finally came to a decision. At this point, she did not have a choice. This group of people was not as important as the entire population of the territory. Even if this was going to make the family members of this group of people to hate her, she did not care.

During the second stage of the apocalypse, all those that were affected had turned into zombies. And right now, this group of people were undergoing transformation. If they transformed into something extremely dangerous, then the territory was going to be in extreme peril.

Of course, she understood that the dangers were not going to just come from the inside, but even the outside, the zombies would definitely try attacking them.

When she made that decision, although many people were against it, they still followed. They did not have to take risks. Additionally, they also understood that if this group of people turned to be extremely dangerous, they would be the first ones to suffer because they were the ones that were close.

Some of them had to see their own friends or family members dying. The majority of those that had their own families present within this group of people tried resisting, but they were taken away from the place.

Henry nodded in satisfaction. This was how it was supposed to be. It might be cruel, but it was the only way out during the apocalypse. For this stage of the apocalypse, whoever it was that took risks, they were the ones that were going to suffer first.

After that, several changes occurred. With the ground shaking, and a huge amount of blood sinking into the ground, Henry immediately understood that a lot of things were going to change during this stage of the apocalypse.

Then there came the prompts. Just as he had been informed by the system, it was stated that the human race was going to fall into a great disadvantage during this stage of the apocalypse.

When Nancy saw the prompts, she could not help but look at Henry. Just as he had said before, this third stage of the Apocalypse was going to be extremely dangerous. And it seemed that if he did not assist them, they were going to have a lot of difficulty facing this third stage of the apocalypse.

Finally, after the changes that had occurred finished, a large number of zombies suddenly congregated outside the territory. The number of zombies was extremely high as compared to the one that they had encountered before.

But when they saw this large number of zombies, nobody was afraid of them anymore. With the equipment and the vehicles that they possessed, they were not afraid facing this large number of zombies.

Of course they could tell that the zombies had already become stronger than before. But what was the difference? It was not as if the majority of them had already reached the silver rank.

The number of zombies just continuously increased, but they did not attack the territory directly. And when they noticed this, the people that were on top of the wall could not help but frown.

This was definitely not a good sign. The last time that the zombies did not attack immediately was not good as well. There was a giant zombie that had come over, and that zombie was at the gold rank. Had it not been for the fact that Henry and his group were present, the territory could have been in great trouble.

Although their confidence had already been boosted, they could not help but get anxious of the possibility of there existing another zombie like the one that had been killed by Adam.

Due to the tension that they were having, all of them gripped their weapons tightly, while looked at the zombies that continuously congregated out of the territory. They were waiting for the command to attack, or for the zombies to attack first so that they could defend.

In a situation like this, it would definitely be better if they defended. Although taking the initiative was definitely the best, but in this situation where they didn’t know much information about the zombies, it was better for them to defend, while anticipating for the worst.

Finally, after about 1 hour, the zombies began moving towards the territory. But this time, there was nothing that seemed strange like there being a leader amongst them. Instead, the entire horde of zombies moved together.

Of course they were not moving at a low speed, but were charging towards the territory at incredible speeds. The amount of killing intent that they were giving out as they charged towards the territory was incredible.

Of course the amount of killing intent that each zombie could give was negligible. But with their numbers already reaching several hundreds of thousands, the killing intent could practically solidify in the air.

"Get ready to defend. Make sure that you save as much energy as possible. We don’t know how many zombies are going to attack us this time, and how many mutant zombies are going to take action. So it is better if we are cautious enough, ready for anything that might change during the course of the battle." Nancy who had arrived on top of the wall not long ago shouted the command.
