Chapter 304: The Upgrades

During all this time, Henry had been busy trying to increase the strength of the territory in which he was in. Of course, he did not use any of his own resources. But instead, he decided to exploit the system completely.

It was a good thing that the system did not require each and every mutation crystal that he utilized in the system store to have been personally gotten by him. And due to that, he gained a great advantage.

This territory was one of the three territories that were found within Lockwood city. Lockwood city was bigger as compared to Crystal city. Due to that, the number of zombies that were within this city was extremely high.

With waves of zombies that continuously attacked the three territories within the city, the number of mutation crystals that had been accumulated by the three territories was incredibly high.

Nevertheless, currently, in the system store, there was nothing that he could use bronze rank mutation crystals to purchase. So, the only target that Henry had during the time that he entered the warehouse was the silver rank mutation crystals.

But as one could expect, the number of silver rank mutation crystals could not be compared to those that were in the bronze rank. But nevertheless, Henry did not care much about it. But instead, he simply focused on his main aim.

Currently, the greatest disadvantage within this territory when facing the zombies was definitely how to face a large number of zombies. Additionally, the number of high level equipment was not something that could match everybody within the territory.

Due to that reason, Henry went ahead and purchased several equipment within the system store. Of course, he did not take out any of the equipment that he was carrying with him within the idle space.

Of course, within the warehouse, he was the only one present. As for the rest of the people, he had already chased them, asking them to stay outside of this place.

It might be true that currently, he possessed a lot of strength. But, if information was leaked about him being capable of producing equipment out of a thin air as long as he possessed mutation crystals, wouldn’t he be targeted?

It was not just those that were going to be afraid that he was going to be able to strengthen the humans, but even those that wanted to gain a person with an ability of producing equipment. After all, currently, the current level of equipment that could be found within the world depended on the stage of the apocalypse, unless there was a special situation.

After making purchases of equipment and other items such as portions that included both the healing portions and the recovery portions, Henry finally focused on having all the items within the warehouse.

It might be true that the number of equipment that he had purchased was not that high, but still, when compared to the number of equipment of such a level within the territory, it could be said that it was several times higher.

After he was done with that, he went ahead and left the warehouse. But of course, he had already instructed that nobody should enter the warehouse.

Although those that were in charge of guarding the warehouse were not sure about what it was that Henry had done during the time that he was inside, but at least, when they saw him coming out, he was not carrying anything. So, they were not afraid that he had stolen anything within the warehouse.

Moreover, they understood one thing. That was, the level that Henry was in was not low. So, he would definitely not be much interested with the low level equipment that could be found within the warehouse.

But of course, what they didn’t know was that before he left, Henry made sure to take all the bronze rank mutation crystals with him. And of course, it was not as if he was going to use them for himself considering that there was nothing that he could purchase using them that was useful to him.

Instead, he wanted to use them to improve something else within the territory. So, he went ahead and asked Nancy to organize for the best combat vehicles within the territory to be assembled within the same place.

After that, he went ahead and began upgrading them. And of course, the moment that the people who were observing from the sides saw that the vehicles were being enveloped in spheres of light, they could not help but be amazed and curious at the same time.

Then, during the time that the spheres of light disappeared, they realized that several changes had occurred to the vehicles. Although they could not tell much about the changes that had occurred to the vehicles, but still, just the appearance of the vehicles had been modified.

The majority of them looked like sport cars although they were previously jeeps. It was not that the sizes had been decreased, but instead, it was just the shape that they had taken was quite different, almost taking the aerodynamic shape.

Of course Henry did not care about them. But instead, he just continued with the upgrade. After the first star, there was the second star, and finally, there was the improvement in the attack and the defensive capabilities of the vehicles.

Of course there was no way that he was going to improve the level of this vehicles to be at the same level as his Jeep. But nevertheless, with the improvement that these vehicles had experienced, it was definitely quite a boost in the power level of this territory.

After he was done with the combat related vehicles, he went ahead and upgraded the ones that were in charge of transportation of both goods and people. In case there was a need for evacuation, this was going to be of great assistance.

Of course, it was not as if Henry cared much about this territory. But, he had already begun making arrangements so that in the future, during the time that he would be wanting to take over control over the human race, this territory would not have been destroyed. Having already had Nancy to agree to owing him a favor, as long as she did not change the current principles that she possessed, she was definitely going to agree having him taking over this place.

After he was done with that, Henry went ahead and instructed that the number of mutation crystals should be increased. It was during this time that several people were sent towards the warehouse. When they arrived there, they were completely stunned after realizing that there was a large number of equipment that was present inside the warehouse.

These equipment had magically appeared inside here, and they had not seen them getting in there. Additionally, something that made their eyes want to jump out of their sockets was due to the fact that all the bronze rank mutation crystals that were within the warehouse had already disappeared.

When they asked Henry about this, he simply said, "You are not expecting that I’m doing everything for free, right? Not to mention that I require energy for this ability that I’m using in order to be able to improve the vehicles, but even those equipment had to be gotten through another method."

When Nancy heard about that, although she was surprised, she was not that much surprised. In any case, it was not as if the ability that Henry was using was supposed to be capable of doing everything for free. If it was like that, then it would be completely overpowered.

She was curious about this ability that Henry possessed. And it was also at this point that she felt that the mysteries that were surrounding Henry just continuously increased. She could not help but get even more curious about this young man.

After being given instructions, using the jeeps that had been modified by Henry, groups of people were sent out of the territory in order to hunt for mutation crystals. Of course, before they could control the vehicles, Henry gave them the skill that was required for those vehicles.

Due to the equipment and the vehicles, they were capable of maneuvering in the city quite easily.

And with that, the zombies began suffering. A large number of mutation crystals was gotten through this method. It might be true that a person was not capable of leveling up if they used the Jeep to attack, but who said that they could not get the mutation crystals?

So, abusing the power of the Jeeps, these groups that had been sent outside of the territory to hunt for mutation crystals explored the capabilities of the Jeeps while blasting the zombies into pieces.

The thrill that came with seeing the zombies completely vulnerable, and not threatening at all, immediately boosted the morale of this group that had been sent out. Due to that, they continuously used the jeeps to attack.

And after they had cleared an area, they would alight from the Jeeps and collect the mutation crystals. Of course, there would always be a group of people that would be in charge of dealing with the zombies that had been attracted over by the commotion that had been caused by the explosions.

It was a good thing that they did not directly go to the center of the city. Otherwise, they would have definitely been overwhelmed by the zombies that would have been attracted over by the sound of the explosions. Even with the jeeps, they would definitely not be able to complete the mission that they had been given.

After collecting the mutation crystals, these groups went back to the territory. But of course, during this time, they found one thing strange, during the time that they were out, they did not encounter anyone from either of the two territories.
