Chapter 299: Healing the Crow

"Are you really capable of healing my companion beast?" Nancy asked with a serious expression on her face. When it came to her companion beast, she was extremely serious and concerned. She did not like it if there was going to be a person that was going to joke about her companion beast. So, she hoped that Henry was serious about what he was saying, and not just speaking for the sake of it.

"That depends on your decision. As long as you agree, I don’t have any problem when it comes to healing that companion beast of yours." Henry stated nonchalantly.

"I have already agreed to the coordination that you stated before. I owe you a favor as long as you heal my companion beast. And other than that, you will have to help my territory to become stronger." With hope in her eyes, without any hesitation, Nancy stated as she looked at Henry.

Henry nodded. He had already expected that something like this was going to happen. After all, just looking at the relationship that Nancy was having with the companion beast, other than the aim that she was having by owning a territory, she would definitely agree if he was going to heal the companion beast.

"So, can we do that right now? I mean can we heal that companion beast of mine right now? It is currently recuperating, but the pain that it is experiencing right now is not small." Nancy stated a little anxiously. The demeanor of a leader that she possessed before had already disappeared.

Henry did not say anything but followed Nancy out of the living room. They went towards the backyard of the villa that was owned by Nancy. There, he saw that the crow was lying inside a nest that had been created for it, but It was not comfortable due to its shifty behavior.

Of course Henry did not have the capability of healing the companion beast. At the end of the day, it was not as if he possessed the light element or a healing spell.

But although he himself did not possess the capability of doing so, that did not mean that he did not have something that he could use. It was also during this moment that Henry felt that Sarah’s importance in the group was really high.

Had it been that she was not unconscious at this moment, she would have definitely been capable of healing the companion beast with just a single skill. But ever since she became unconscious, Henry and the others could only depend on healing potions.

So when he arrived here, he took out three healing potions that were at four stars. Of course all the three were found during the time that they were on their way to this city.

It was something that they could consider lucky enough that they had found them. They were together, inside a ruin. So, Henry had been prepared to keep them considering that Sarah was not yet awake.

When Nancy realized that something had appeared in Henry’s hand, she could not help but be a little surprised. She was not sure where it had come from, but she saw that there were some potions in his hands.

"If you are going to try to heal my companion beast with the potions, I’ll tell you right now, they are not going to work. I have already tried using 3-star healing potions, but they did not work." Nancy said with a frown on her face.

Henry on the other hand did not respond. But instead, he approached the crow. Nancy was a little frustrated when she realized that Henry had completely ignored her. And when he began approaching her companion beast, she thought to herself that perhaps this was a chance for her to have Henry been taught a lesson.

This companion beast of hers was not one that liked strangers. Every time that a stranger tried to approach it, it would suddenly go ballistic, and might end up injuring that person.

But of course, that was something that Henry did not know. So, she did not stop Henry at all, but instead, watched from the side, waiting for him to be taught a lesson for ignoring her. Of course, she completely forgot about the fact that currently, Henry was way stronger than that companion beast of hers at its best, not to mention that currently, it was injured.

She watched as Henry approached the crow. But instead of the crow trying to attack Henry, it simply stopped its movements and looked at Henry, as if curious about what he was here for.

It was also at this point that Nancy suddenly noticed something in the eyes of the crow. It was as if it was afraid of Henry, and that was the reason why it had not attacked, and it was no longer squirming in discomfort due to the injuries that it had suffered.

Nancy finally realized something. She had forgotten about the fact that Henry was stronger than Adam, and Adam was way stronger than they were. So, how was it that a beast like this crow could not detect the danger that was possessed by Henry?

It might be true that currently, Henry was not revealing his aura at all, but still, the senses and instincts of a beast were extremely sharp. Of course they were at a completely different level as compared to those of normal monsters.

"Open up." Henry stated as he took one of the bottle of potions, before opening the top.

The crow followed the instructions and opened its beak. Henry did not hesitate to pour the potion into the beak of the crow.

After pouring out all the contents of the bottle, Henry retreated as the beak of the crow finally closed.

Although Nancy wanted to stop Henry from giving the potion to the crow, she decided not to stop him. After all, it was only after the potion failed to take effect that Henry would realize that what she was saying before was true.

Just as she had expected, there was no reaction even after a minute had gone by with the crow taking the potion. But just as she was about to say something, the crow suddenly jumped out of its nest and flew into the air.

Nancy was suddenly dumbfounded by the movements of the crow. Looking at the crow that was flying in the air at incredible speeds, she felt that this was completely unbelievable.

It was not long ago that the crow was not capable of making any big movements, afraid that the injuries that it had suffered were going to worsen. But right now, it was flying in the air, completely free, as if the injuries that it had suffered before were just an illusion.

"That is a four-star potion. You don’t have to be worried because the injuries that your companion beast suffered have already been healed." Henry spoke when he realized that there was a bewildered expression on Nancy’s face.

It was only after Henry had spoken that finally, Nancy paid attention to him. At the same time, she caught the words, ’four-star’ that Henry had just said. So that was how it was. It seemed that Henry possessed a lot of more mysteries that she had expected.

And at this point, she did not doubt that Henry was going to be capable of strengthening this territory of hers. After all, if he possessed several four star equipment, they would definitely be stronger than those that belonged to other territories.

Henry decided to leave this place, together with another person that was assigned to him by Nancy so that he could take care of the matter of strengthening this territory.

Nancy on the other hand was left behind to see and make sure that the crow had already been healed.

After Henry left the villa, he went straight to the warehouse of the territory. That was where all of the resources of the territory were being kept. And just as one could expect, this warehouse was not that far away from where Nancy resided.

Additionally, this place was completely guarded, just trying to make sure that nobody tried to sneak into the warehouse and steal something.

Currently, the territory was at the stage of accumulating resources. They had already done the constructions, so, they did not require the majority of the items that were inside the warehouse for now. Of course, the majority of the equipment and other things inside the warehouse were always taken out during the time that the zombies were going to attack.

The people that were in charge of the warehouse had already been informed in advance that Henry was going to come over. So, when he arrived, they did not cause trouble for him, and allowed him to enter the warehouse.

But of course, they made sure to keep an eye on him. They had already heard about him, and although he had not shown his strength, they had already realized that he was strong. After all, the group that he belonged to had someone that possessed the capabilities of killing a gold rank zombie.

Henry did not care about some people keeping an eye on him. In any case, it was not as if he was here because he wanted to gain some benefits. But instead, he was here because he wanted to strengthen the territory, and he was not going to use his own resources to do that.

So the moment that he entered into the warehouse, the first target that he had in mind was obviously the mutation crystals. That was the resource that he required for his plan.
