Chapter 285: Provocation

"If you have already dealt with the zombies, what are those kids still doing outside of the territory?" The man asked as he looked at Henry and his group.

At this moment, Vincent was also forced to look at this guy. What was wrong with this guy? Why was it that he was asking so many stupid questions? Currently, couldn’t he sense the tense atmosphere that was surrounding the entire area?

Additionally, with his combat level, why was it that he could not detect the killing intent that was filling the air? Or could it be that this guy was just trying to play a prank on him?

Jason remained silent for a moment as he observed Vincent. He was not sure about what he was feeling, but what he was sure about was the fact that there was a great difference in the way that Vincent was looking at him, as compared to other days.

Nevertheless, after realizing that Jason had finally stopped talking nonsense, Vincent shifted his attention back to the battlefield. Until now, the giant had not made any movement at all.

It was just standing there, observing Henry’s group. At the same time, it seemed to be keeping an eye on the people that were at the entrance of the territory.

Having already made a guess on the aim of this giant zombie, Vincent could not help but get anxious. At the same time, he was completely worried about his daughter and her group that was standing not far away from the giant zombie.

In case this zombie decided to attack, then it was going to be troublesome. Olivia was just at the 7th level of the silver rank. So, it was definitely impossible for her to be able to deal with a gold rank zombie.

As for the others, although he had already realized that Henry was stronger than Olivia, but still, how strong could he be? Perhaps he was at the 8th level of the silver rank, or at most, he had reached the 9th level of the silver rank, which Vincent thought to be an impossibility.

It was then that his eyes suddenly widened after realizing that there was yet another creature that was on the battlefield. And in fact, this was the most eye-catching creature that was present in the entire battlefield.

At this moment, he could not help but wonder how it was that he had not noticed the gigantic zombie that was present outside of the territory. Could it be that he had not thought of the possibility of the presence of a giant in the city, that he did not even realize that there was actually a giant here?

Of course if Vincent heard what Jason was thinking, he would have said that this guy was just petty. The only reason why he did not notice the giant zombie was simply because he was focusing on useless matters that did not matter at the moment.

"What is the giant zombie doing here? And it is actually at the gold rank? This is going to be troublesome for the territory. We have to ask for backup." Jason felt panicked in his heart. But although he was not showing much outward, but in case a person observed him or listened to what he was saying, they would be able to tell that this guy was currently kind of panicked and scared.

Vincent on the other hand simply snorted after hearing what Jason was saying. In any case, it was not as if they could not ask for backup. But nevertheless, what was the high number of people coming over to do?

Wouldn’t they just be coming over to increase the number of zombies in the city? At the end of the day, they would be killed by the zombie that was standing out of the territory, and after that, they would be turned into zombies.

Currently, they did not need the numbers. But instead, they needed a person or a group of people that was capable of dealing with this zombie. And in case there was nobody that was capable of doing that, they could simply try to retreat from this place for now.

It was not as if they had to stay in this place. But it was just that with the population of the territory, it was going to be almost impossible to be able to retreat as a whole. That implied that only a few of them would be capable of getting out of this place.

With this zombie being present here, it would definitely not allow them to get out of this place. So, the moment that they tried to get out of here, he was pretty sure that this zombie was going to attack. And with its power level, simple attacks were capable of causing a lot of damage.

When Adam heard the zombie roaring, he could not help but click his tongue again. He looked at the giant zombie in front of him fearlessly as he asked, "Why are you roaring? Are you perhaps a lion or something?"

When he asked that, Henry and the others could not help but wonder what was wrong with Adam this time. It seemed that Adam had just decided that he was going to provoke this zombie completely.

"Wait a damn second. From the way that I can see, although you possess a humanoid figure, you are definitely not a human. But that is of course because you are a zombie. And then again, zombies are just mindless creatures. So, can I say that you are a monster?" Adam continued asking with a serious expression on his face.

In case anybody looked at him carefully, they would see that he was actually serious about what he was asking. So, at this moment, Henry and the others really wondered if there was something wrong with Adam. Could it have been that he had changed for some reason?

But right now, he was looking for trouble from this zombie. Although he did not understand what it was that Adam was aiming for, he decided to remain silent and observe.

The zombie on the other hand was provoked by the words that Adam was saying. It was clear that it could understand clearly what Adam was saying. And after realizing this, Henry and the others were a little surprised. It seemed that the intelligence of this giant zombie was not low.

Well, this was kind of expected considering that the level of this zombie was the gold rank. Since that was the case, there would definitely be the development of the intelligence, just like how monsters were capable of speech after reaching the silver rank.

"See? I just said it. You are definitely a monster. Why are you roaring if you’re not? If you are actually not a monster but a zombie, why don’t you tell me the language that you zombies used to communicate? We humans speak, monsters do have their own methods of communication.

Then what about you zombies? Stop mimicking other races’ methods of communication. You have to develop your own. And by the way, you have to make sure that you don’t possess a humanoid figure, because that is mimicking the shape of humans." Adam continued as he began approaching the zombie.

Currently, the distance between the zombie and Henry’s group was about 30 meters. So, as Adam began moving forward, the distance between him and the zombie began reducing.

Adam’s movements immediately attracted the attention of everybody that was observing the battlefield that this moment. Jason was also attracted, and he could not help but wonder what was wrong with this kid.

"Is he trying to get himself killed? Although I cannot see the information about his current power level, but still, what power level could he be possessing?" Jason asked sarcastically.

Although he was asking these questions, he was not worried about Adam at all. In any case, even if they died, it did not matter to him. As long as this group died entirely, he would be capable of researching the Jeep that they had come with.

Vincent wanted to say something about Adam approaching the zombie. But looking at the fact that Henry and the others did not make a move, he decided to remain silent. In any case, no matter what he said, as long as the zombie attacked, there was nothing that was going to change.

The zombie on the other hand finally became infuriated with what Adam had said. This was complete provocation from Adam. So, the intensity of the light in the red pupils of the zombie suddenly increased as it glanced at Adam who was approaching it.

In the next moment, it rushed towards Adam and clenched its fists, throwing a punch towards Adam. And as the punch moved forward, approaching Adam, the sound of the air being torn apart could be heard clearly.

Looking at the zombie that was attacking him in anger, Adam did not retreat at all. And neither was there panic on his face. But instead, there was just a smile. As the zombie approached, he clenched the handle of the battle axe that he was holding, before he took a fighting stance.
