Chapter 283: Gigantic Creature

While Vincent was focusing on other matters, Henry and the others finally put on solemn expressions on their faces. At this moment, they could feel that the air was shifting drastically, and they could feel that there was something that was approaching them.

It was not that they could feel the presence of whatever it was that was approaching them. It was just that they could feel the killing intent that was coming over. This was not the first time that they were experiencing killing intent in the air.

For that reason, they had already gotten familiar with the killing intent. Although it did not belong to the same source, but still, it was killing intent all the same. And right now, feeling the killing intent that was approaching them, Henry and the others became cautious.

The amount of killing intent that they could feel was not small at all. Killing intent was not a skill that a person could possess. It was only gained by killing many creatures, and as long as a person killed many creatures, the killing intent that they would possess would be higher.

As for the amount of killing intent that they were feeling right now, it was so thick, almost comparable to the one that they had experienced during the time that they were in Raga city, inside the place where Livingstone had taken them to.

The cautiousness from the group attracted the attention of the others that were cleaning the battlefield right now. They did not know what it was, but still, they could feel that this group was quite tense. And, this was the first time that they were experiencing this group of people behaving in such a way.

Even during the time that the horde of zombies was approaching, and they felt that they were going to be overwhelmed, this group did not show any emotion like they were afraid of the zombies. Instead, they treated the zombies as if they were just normal creatures that could be killed.

"This amount of killing intent. I do feel that whoever it is that is giving out this killing intent, they are quite strong. I do believe that they might actually be in the gold rank." Adam stated as he gazed into the distance, the same direction from which the zombies had been congregated in previously.

Henry and the others did not say anything, but they also thought the same thing. This amount of killing intent was the same that they had felt during the time that they were facing Hanson.

Although the killing intent could not be compared to the one that was coming out of the hole that had been created in space, but still, this killing intent at this stage of the apocalypse was not something normal.

As they continued waiting, the amount of killing intent in the air continued to increase. It was also during this moment that Vincent also noticed the changes in the atmosphere, and he also noticed the killing intent in the air.

With that, his expression became solemn as he looked into the distance. Although he could not see anything, but still, he could feel that the source of killing intent was from that direction.

"All of you pay attention. Retreat from the battlefield right now!" Vincent shouted. This was not the first time that he was experiencing killing intent.

He also understood the concept behind killing intent. And feeling the amount of killing intent that was in the air, although the enemy had not been seen, this told him that whoever it was that was giving out this killing intent had killed a lot of creatures by now.

And since the killing intent was directed towards them, that implied that whoever it was that was approaching was definitely not their ally.

After hearing the instructions from Vincent, the group that was collecting mutation crystals from the heads of the zombies, and the other equipments and items that had dropped after the zombies had been killed began retreating.

Although the majority of them did not understand the reason why they were being instructed to retreat back into the territory, they still did so. The only ones that remained outside of the territory were Henry and his group.

And just as the group was waiting, the ground began shaking. Those that had already retreated into the territory suddenly tensed up. Although the trembling of the ground was not that intense, but still, something that was capable of shaking the ground this far, it was definitely not small, right?

Bang!

Just as they were waiting, finally, in front of Henry and his group, a creature erupted from the ground. And as the creature landed on the ground, the ground that was shaking not long ago finally stopped.

Henry and the others had already been waiting. So, the moment that this creature appeared, they were not surprised. But instead, they looked at the creature, wondering what it was.

This creature had a humanoid figure, but the size was kind of exaggerated. It was about 3 m tall, possessing a body that was filled with muscles. Moreover, the muscles were completely exposed, with no skin covering them.

Other than that, there was no nose, and neither were there lips. So at this moment, Henry and the others could see the holes that belonged to the nose on the skull, together with the teeth of this creature.

The teeth were quite gigantic, with the majority of them protruding out of the creature’s mouth. The teeth were black in color, and they gave a terrifying vibe to anybody that was looking at them, as they shone with a sharp glint at the edges, showing just how sharp they were.

As for the eyes of the creature, as it looked at them, Henry and the others could see that there was a red light that was flickering within them. Generally, the color of the eyes was gray. But the pupils were completely red, and it was as if they were a bulb or something, because they were shining dimly.

"Is this creature a male or a female?" Adam asked as he looked towards the creature’s crotch area. Practically, there was nothing there. It was as if this creature was wearing a pair of armor, something that was blocking that part.

"Is that what you’re seriously thinking about right now? I thought you were already thinking of how to deal with this creature." Olivia stated as she looked at Adam incredulously.

She was not the only one because even Henry was left a little speechless by what Adam had said. But of course, that did not imply that he was also curious about the gender of this creature. In any case, did it even possess a gender?

Roooar!

As if the creature had been provoked, it let out a loud roar as the amount of killing intent that was coming out of its body suddenly increased drastically. And the way that it was looking at Henry and his group showed complete malice.

But still, although the creature was roaring in anger, it did not attack them. But instead, continued standing in the same position, observing Henry’s group.

When Henry noticed this, he frowned. From the way that he could see, it was as if this creature was trying to monitor them, trying to make sure that they did not go anywhere. It was as if it was here to make sure that in case they tried to leave this place, it was going to stop them.

’Could it be that there’s someone else behind the scenes? What is the use of keeping us here? Or is there a plan that is being carried out right now?’ Several questions popped up in Henry’s mind as he observed the creature in front of him.

The appearance of this creature on the other hand had already caused a commotion among the people that had already retreated back into the territory. Although they had gone back into the territory, they had not closed the gate.

For that reason, they could see everything that was currently going on outside of the territory. And looking at that creature, and feeling the aura that was coming out of it, they felt extreme danger.

At this moment, all those that had not yet reached the silver rank could feel a chill running down their spines as they looked at the creature. Although the creature was not looking directly at them, just the killing intent and the aura that was coming out of the creature was enough to frighten them.

In normal situations, people would have already begun discussing about this creature and its appearance. But surprisingly, everyone was completely silent, causing the air to be even more tense. Practically, the silence was deafening.

As for those that were in the silver rank, they were doing quite better as compared to those that were in the bronze rank. But still, they could feel that the moment that they came into contact with this creature, they would be killed.

Vincent who was standing on top of the wall was also observing the creature. At this moment, he realized that the territory was facing a precarious situation. It seemed that to take care of this creature, they needed the entire territory higher level manpower.

Looking at the group that was standing in front of the creature, Vincent could not help but get worried. It was not just because of the group, but it was also because of Olivia, his daughter who was currently there.

Just then, Vincent suddenly noticed that there were movements coming from within the territory. When he looked back, he realized that there was another group of people that was heading towards the entrance of the territory.

It was the backup that was supposed to be coming over, coming over only after the battle had ended. When he noticed them, Vincent could not help but feel his lips twitching.
