Chapter 266: Resuming the Journey, Finally Making a Move

Inside the Jeep, Olivia looked at Sarah. She could see that no changes had occurred on her. And to say the truth, although she was relieved, at the same time, she was a little bit disappointed.

Of course, the changes that she was expecting were to be positive. If they became negative, she would definitely be troubled.

And right now, she could see that although Sarah’s condition did not get worse, it did not improve as well. Although this was a good thing, it was definitely not the best thing that could happen.

Nevertheless, she hoped that they would be able to find a method that they would be able to help Sarah. She had been unconscious for the past 2 weeks or so, and she was missing a lot.

Henry had also noticed that Olivia was looking at Sarah’s condition. At this point, although he had already reached the gold rank, he did not possess any gold rank mutation crystal.

Although he had killed a level four gold rank dark race member, Hanson did not possess a mutation crystal. At the same time, he could not be sold to the system store considering that although he was currently a dark mutant, he was previously a human.

Just like how Henry was not capable of selling zombies to the system store although they were no longer considered humans, that was the same thing that was applied when it came to Hanson.

Nevertheless, to be able to purchase an item that was capable of healing Sarah, Henry required five level one gold rank mutation crystals. And from the looks of it, it was going to be a little bit difficult to get them considering that until now, he had not met with a creature at the gold rank in the normal world.

After Henry and the group finally arrived back at the survivor camp that was previously being ruled by Livingstone, they did not want to spend much time here.

So, the two people that had survived were allowed to get out of the Jeep. But the two of them did not actually want to go anywhere. Instead, they just wanted to follow Henry and his group.

The reason behind that was very simple. The two of them had actually accompanied Livingstone as he left this place. But right now, they had come back without him. So, they believed that if they went back into this survivor’s camp, Livingstone’s son will definitely kill them off.

For a tyrant like Livingstone and his son, the two of them did not really care much about logic and reasons. At the end of the day, although it was true that Livingstone was stronger than the two, but how come that the strongest person had not survived, while two weaklings had actually managed to do so?

Of course Livingstone and his son were both selfish people. How was it possible that they could actually sacrifice themselves in order for their subordinates to survive? That was an impossibility.

Henry was still frowning for a moment. Immediately after that, he looked at the two and decided that he was going to take care of the scum here.

It might be true that he was not really into conquering this place, but nevertheless, the human race had to progress. It was true as well that Livingstone and his son were actually making this place progress.

But still, they were the ones that were still holding this place back. They could sacrifice anybody, and they ended up killing others just because they had opposed them.

In fact, Henry was not really against killing others that opposed them. But instead, there had to be a good reason for doing so. As for Livingstone and his son, the two of them did not really care if the other party had a good reason for opposing them or not. As long as there was opposition, no matter how small, it had to be eliminated.

Just as Henry made that decision in his mind, Livingstone’s son approached them. At this moment, he felt that there was definitely something wrong.

According to the way that he knew his father, and according to what they had talked about, it was clear that his father was planning on taking over the Jeep, before eliminating this group.

But right now, this group had come back safe and sound. So, since the Jeep was not under his father’s control, that implied that his father had not succeeded.

Nevertheless, he really didn’t care much about the success. To him, as long as his father was alive, they could still try other methods in order to make sure that they took over this Jeep.

But he could not help but frown after realizing that he could not see his father. He turned his gaze and looked at the two people that had accompanied Livingstone and the group.

Feeling his gaze on them, the two people could not help but feel their bodies trembling. They immediately understood that they were being questioned. And this was the exact reason why they didn’t want to stay here.

"Where’s my father?" Joshua asked.

The two remained silent as they did not know how to respond to this question. They were sure that the moment that they said that Livingstone was dead, they would be asked to give an explanation on how he had died while the two of them had survived.

Looking at the two people who were silent, with their heads bowed, Joshua could not help but feel that there was definitely something very wrong at this point.

Anger suddenly began appearing in his eyes as he looked at them. Then, he asked again, "Can you tell me how my father is not here when you are here? If my father is not here, you are not supposed to be here."

Although Joshua wanted to question Henry and his group, he did not do so. He was not sure about the power level of the people here considering that the stats panel that showed information about them was full of question marks.

"He... he’s dead." One of them managed to say that. But just after he had finished what he was saying, he suddenly felt that danger was approaching.

But just as he felt that he was going to die, the feeling of death actually disappeared. Looking up, he realized that there was someone that was standing in front of him.

Adam had already taken action the moment that Joshua decided to kill the two people. He was furious at the fact that his father had actually died.

Looking at the condition of the people here, there was not even a single one of them that was injured. It was clear that they were in a pristine condition, considering that even Olivia had already changed into a new pair of armor, something that she had been given by Henry.

He wanted to kill the two of them before asking Henry and his group about his father’s whereabouts. He was sure that if anything happened to his father, then it had to be something that had happened during the time that he was trying to carry out the plan that he was having.

Since that was the case, he had to make sure that Henry and his group paid. But, he had not expected that he was going to be easily countered by Adam. Additionally, Adam was not even using his weapon, but instead, he had endured the blow from Joshua depending on the armor that was on his body.

"I really hate some hypocritical people like you. In any case, there’s no need for us to talk much." Adam stated as he looked at Joshua with contempt and despise clear in his eyes.

Immediately after he said that, he stomped onto the ground and launched himself forward. Before Joshua could even react, Adam appeared in front of him and launched a punch towards his head.

Boom!

Joshua’s head exploded like a watermelon. In the face of a level 9 silver rank awakener like Adam who was not only depending on the energy in his body, but his physical strength was also at the same level, he did not stand a chance.

And with just a single punch, the strongest person in the entire survivor’s camp was eliminated. The two people and the others in the surrounding area that had been observing everything that was ongoing could not help but be surprised and at the same time, horrified.

Looking at Joshua’s headless body together with several parts of his brain that had splattered onto the ground, they thought that Adam was really cruel. And currently, just a few drops of blood had dropped on Adam’s body, but he did not really seem to care.

Other than the fact that they thought that Adam was cruel, they were actually happy about the fact that Adam had taken care of the problem that they were having.

Additionally, they could not help but wonder just how strong this group of people were. Even the person that they thought to be the strongest had actually been taken care of with just a single move. And from the looks of it, since the other party did not even use the weapon that he possessed, did that imply that he was actually holding back?

"All of you listen up. We have already taken care of the problem holding you back. So, I do believe that it will not be difficult for you to be able to continue without them, though it is going to be a little bit risky.

Nevertheless, if you can form a connection with Crystal City, you might be able to get some help. But right now, we are leaving." Henry took a step forward and stated.

Immediately after he said those words, he did not pay much attention to the reaction of the group in front of him. Instead, he went back into the Jeep, followed by the rest of the group.

After that, the Jeep drove away, out of Raga City. Of course there was no way that Henry was going to drive straight into a horde of zombies. So, he was taking the roundabout way to get out of this place as soon as possible.

But what Henry and his group did not know was the fact that not long after they had left, the monsters that had been just loitering around in the surrounding areas of the city suddenly began congregating together.

From the movements that they were making, it was clear that they were being controlled by someone or something. Nevertheless, the target that this large group of monsters was having, was Raga city.
