Chapter 250: A Chatterbox, Dark Race’s Plan B

Henry and his group did not attack immediately. Instead, they began observing the black barrier. But, they had just began observing it when suddenly, the black barrier began cracking.

Bang!

In just a few seconds, the cracks had spread throughout the entire black barrier. And after a moment, the entire black barrier exploded causing a shockwave to be spread in the surrounding areas.

Of course, this kind of explosion was not capable of doing any harm to Henry and the group. Instead, it simply caused some wind that blew their hair.

As the dust finally began settling, Henry and the group looked at the figure that had appeared in front of them. There was completely no difference at a single glance on Hanson. He was just the way he was before.

As for the building behind him, it was completely undamaged. It was as if the attacks that Henry and the group had launched previously had not affected the building at all, and neither had the shockwave that had been created with the explosion of the black barrier had any effect on the building.

But of course, on closer observation, the group could see that there were actually some changes that had occurred on Hanson.

Henry decided to take this chance and look at the information about Hanson. But, he was surprised when he saw that the power level had already increased to the 4th level of the gold rank. And other than that, there was a change in status where he was no longer having the still rising status, but instead, it was actually possessed.

This was not the first time that Henry had seen something like this. If he remembered correctly, the one that was in charge of the members of the dark race that had come to attack during the descent of the second stage of the apocalypse was actually possessed as well.

Dark mutant. The dark race. Could the two of them be related in some way? After all, the methods that they were using were quite the same.

Although these ones possessed the puppet creation technique, but, there were necromancers in the dark race that also used others through controlling them. It was just that the methods were different, but the end result was the same, they ended up controlling others.

"Huh?" For the first time, a voice came from the mouth of Hanson. This was the first time that Henry and the group were hearing him speaking.

But instead of speaking, it was actually a sound of surprise coming from Hanson as he looked at Henry and his group. As for Henry, for some strange reason, he felt that this voice was kind of familiar, it was just that he did not really know where the familiarity came from.

Just as they were wondering what was going on with Hanson, Hanson finally spoke again as he looked at Henry.

"You know, I had never expected that I was going to meet you this soon again. Last time, you stopped me from doing something that I was supposed to do. And other than that, you made me to lose face in front of my entire race." As Hanson spoke, he looked at Henry with hatred clear in his eyes.

But, whatever it was that he was speaking was something that was confusing Henry. After all, according to how it was supposed to be, this was actually the first meeting between the two of them.

But other than the fact that he could feel that there was a sense of familiarity in the voice that he was hearing, the other party was also talking to him as if they had met before.

"Back in Crystal City, you destroyed my clone. Although it is true that that clone is the very lowest level clone that I possess, but still, it is something that I created using my energy. So, you will have to pay the price for the energy that I lost due to that clone’s death." Hanson stated.

It was only after mentioning of Crystal City and the clone that Henry finally remembered why this voice was actually familiar. This was actually the clone that was summoned during the first stage of the apocalypse by the leader of the necromancers that had descended at that time.

To say the truth, Henry was not actually expecting that he was going to meet this person once again. But, right now, he was not here in the form of a clone, but, he had actually possessed a person.

His eyes narrowed as he looked at this person. The last time that they engaged in a fight, he had only won simply because this guy was careless, underestimating him, and allowing him several chances of revealing his trump cards.

And this time, it seemed that this guy was not going to give him the chance again. After all, if this person did the same thing as he did last time, then, he would definitely be having a loose screw in his mind.

Henry did not respond to whatever this person was saying. Until now, he really did not know about the name of this person. Nevertheless, he knew that the person was actually holding a high position within the dark race.

Since it was the battle for domination, then, it was obvious that the higher-ups of the other races would definitely begin acting in case there was a need for them to do that. They really wanted to get an advantage during this time, to make sure that they won the battle.

"You know, I already know that you destroyed the second group that we sent to Crystal City. That was completely unexpected considering that I was the one that had arranged for that group to come over.

We sacrificed the numbers and increased the quality of the people that descended. But surprisingly, I can see that one of you is actually in the gold rank, while the rest of you are at level 9 of the Silver Rank. That is completely unexpected for you at this stage of the apocalypse." Hanson stated. Although he was trying to speak calmly, but still, Henry could somehow detect that there was a hint of surprise in his voice as he spoke.

But, what really caught Henry’s attention was the fact that this guy actually knew about the presence of a gold rank awakener. Of course, this was none other than Julie. But right now, she had already disappeared and was waiting for an opportune moment for her to strike.

As for how he was able to tell about the current level that they possessed in terms of strength, he was actually not surprised by that. After all, this was not just anybody, but it was a person that held a high position within the dark race.

For that reason, he possessed a lot of experience, and perhaps his real power was so high, maybe reaching unimaginable level for the current him.

"That is the reason why I had to sacrifice something to awaken a group of five that belonged to the dark race. Although they are not actually members of the dark race, but still, they are allies of our race.

For them, I decided that they were not going to come to Crystal City. Instead, they had to look for another place that they could set as a foundation for us. After that, I would be able to wash away part of the dirt that you placed on me.

But of course, to wash away the entire stain, I would have to come and deal with you. But, I had never expected that you were actually going to come looking here for me. But, this is now a chance for me to be able to deal with you completely.

With that out of the way, it should definitely not be much of a difficult problem for my race to be able to recover and gain the advantage that we have lost right now." Hanson continued.

It was also at this point that Henry finally realized something. This guy had not learned anything during their previous encounter. It seemed that he was still a chattering box like he was before. Always bragging about this and that.

In any case, that was something good. Currently, it was quite difficult for him to be able to use the fusion skill to merge with his summon. He wasn’t sure if he begun using that skill, this guy was going to attack him or not.

But of course, he was not going to blame this guy about being a chatterbox. At least, he was receiving information that he was not in the know of. Somehow, the members of the other races were able to tell if the people that they had sent over had actually been killed.

At this point, just in case, Henry finally began activating the skill. Although it was a risk, he had to take it. If he did not fuse with his summon, then, there was definitely no chance that he was going to win against this guy.
