Chapter 243: Plan B

After just a few seconds, Clinton died from both poisoning and the stab into his heart. In any case, both the poison and the attack on his heart were fatal. So, unless Clinton possessed something that was capable of healing him, he was definitely going to die.

Henry and the rest of the group were actually not much surprised about this. At the end of the day, Julie was actually five levels ahead of Clinton.

But of course, what surprised them was the fact that Julie was going to take action. Even they themselves had a difficult time to be able to keep an eye on Julie all the time. She was an assassin, and although she had not yet gotten much proficient, but still, she was capable of handling herself quite well.

This was actually the reason why Henry had actually given her several skills that matched her profession. With the skills that he had given her, she was now capable of moving around quite well and easily.

After completing the kill, Julie went ahead and took away the dagger that was still on Clinton’s chest. After that, she went back and stood behind the group, making her presence as minimal as possible.

"From the information that we have received, it seems that there is actually a group like this that is present here. But, from the looks of it, they don’t have good intentions." Henry stated with a thoughtful expression on his face.

"It is obvious right now. This guy came over with the intention of turning us into puppets. Otherwise, if he was here to kill us, he would have definitely attacked us the moment that he arrived here." Adam stated as he waved his battle axe around.

"Put that thing away. Why don’t you wait until you are on a battlefield for you to start swinging that thing again?" Olivia stated as she looked at Adam. This guy was swinging the battle axe recklessly.

Just from the way that he was swinging, although it looked like he was doing it simply, but, he actually possessed physical strength that was way above that or a level 9 silver rank awakener. For that reason, if that battle axe managed to get someone, it would definitely injure them.

Adam stopped swinging his battle axe and placed it on his shoulder. Then, he looked at Olivia with dissatisfaction on his face. "Don’t tell me that you are actually going to be injured with just a casual swing of my battle axe."

Olivia did not respond this time. Instead, she remained silent. Anyway, what she was doing was just a reminder. If she decided to argue with Adam, then, this matter was going to continue to the direction that she was not willing to go right now.

When Adam realized that Olivia was not saying anything, he ignored her and began looking around.

"It is better if we move together. It is not as if we are actually going to explore this place. Although it might actually take us some time for us to be able to find the exit from this place, but, it is better to be safe than sorry. We don’t really know about the power level of the other group members of this dead guy, so, it is better if we are cautious." Henry stated.

The group did not have any objections on that matter. Of course, it was not 100% considering that there were actually one or two of them that had actually thought otherwise before Henry stated his thoughts.

With that, the group began moving around again. It was just that, this time, they had increased their vigilance, because they were not willing to be ambushed. They were in the light, and the enemy was in the dark. So, they did not know what other move the enemy was going to make next.

Inside the building, the moment that the bulky guy saw that the baldy guy was still talking to Henry’s group, he could not help but be a little frustrated.

"This idiot. Instead of just taking care of things at once, he is still yapping here and there. Had I known, I would have definitely gone there personally." The bulky guy stated as he looked at the screen in front of him.

"If you thought that way, then, you should have actually gone ahead with that. After all, I do remember that baldy did not have the intention of going out." The lady in the room stated nonchalantly.

The bulky guy looked at her but he did not say anything, completely ignoring her. Instead, he focused on the progress on the display screen in front of him.

"What an idiot?! There’s someone attacking!" The bulky guy shouted. But, no matter how loud he shouted, the baldy on the screen could not hear him.

In the end, the entire room remained silent as they watched as the baldy got killed. The baldy did not have any chance of resisting before he died. And, he was killed so cleanly.

This made the group inside the room to once again do their evaluation on Henry’s group. Since they were able to easily take care of Clinton, and only one person attacked, that implied that this group possessed people that had already gone past level 3 of the silver rank.

Additionally, looking at the position that the lady who had actually killed Clinton went ahead to stand in, it was clear that currently, she was the one that was holding the lowest position in the entire group.

If that was the case, then, that implied that this entire group of people was actually full of strong people, and they could not be underestimated.

"It seems that the group that has come over this time is quite strong. But, I do believe that they can make good puppets for us. In any case, we cannot allow the mission that we have to end up as a failure." The leader of the group, the man wearing a butler suit stated.

His voice was filled with indifference, as if he did not really care about the death of Clinton. Instead, what he really cared about was actually the mission that they had been given.

The rest of the group nodded in response. Of course, they too did not really care much about Clinton and his life. Not to mention the fact that he was the weakest in the entire group, there was also the fact that actually, in the entire group, nobody really cared about the life of the others present.

Instead, what they really cared about was the completion of the mission. And, to complete that mission, they needed to be careful, and at the same time, the stronger the group was, the higher the probability of completing the mission.

"So, the three of you are going out to deal with that group. Make sure that you don’t kill them. But, if it gets difficult, you can just go ahead and injure them a little bit. It is not difficult for us to be able to make them recover after we have subdued them." The ’butler’ continued.

The group of three were actually thinking of the same thing. They could go out as a group this time, and not just one of them. It was clear that this group that had come over was not weak, so, they would not try to underestimate them again.

So, after hearing what the butler had said, they turned around and left the room. As for the butler, he remained behind watching the progress on the screen.

At the same time, his eyes squinted as he looked at Henry and his group as they moved on. This monitoring display screen was actually due to the preparation that they had made in advance.

Otherwise, they would have definitely not been capable of monitoring Henry and his group if they did not make earlier preparations using the resources that they possessed.

"It seems that we will have to do things the hard way. I hope that those that are from the dark race directly will definitely do something.
