Chapter 241: Approaching Danger

"Are you an idiot or what baldy? We have already lost the puppets that we created recently. Right now, we need more people that we can use to create puppets. And this group is not that bad." A lady with unnaturally long hair stated.

"Oh, I never thought of that. But, this is actually a good idea. Perhaps we should be able to nurture them into good puppets. At that time, we would definitely be able to complete the mission that we have been given earlier and on a higher scale." The bald head responded excitedly.

"But the problem is that, we really don’t have those that can fight them. Those puppets that we came over with and created were the only ones that we had. We have already cleared all the monsters from this place. So, it seems that we will have to do the work ourselves." The bulky guy stated a little dissatisfied.

He had actually put in a lot of effort in order to be able to create the puppets. And, this was not something that they had done within a single day. But instead, they had done this for almost 2 weeks now.

That was the reason why the puppets were actually capable of reaching level 9 of the bronze rank. But, all of them had already been destroyed by Adam singlehandedly.

"Why are you so worried? It is not that bad that we have lost the puppets. In any case, we are going to refine new ones. And at that time, we would be able to have stronger ones considering that the aura that this group is giving is actually matching that of those in the silver rank. It is just that it is difficult for us to be able to tell which level they are in." The lady stated with a frown on her face.

"What are you guys so worried about? In any case, one of us can just go out and take care of them. But remember, make sure that their bodies are intact. At that time, refining them into puppets should be able to make them stronger. Perhaps they would be able to reach the golden rank." The sharp-eyed man stated.

"So, who is going?" The bald head questioned.

"Since you are the one who is asking who is going out, why don’t you just go? You can take care of them easily, right?" The bulky guy stated as he looked at the baldy.

"What do you mean that I should be the one that should be going out there? Those are ants. You want me to go out and take care of ants personally?" The baldy questioned irritatedly.

"What do you expect? Do you expect that any of us is going out there? Currently, you are the weakest here. So, you are the closest one to the end. Don’t tell me that you want us to take care of them, right?" The lady asked in a mocking tone.

Just as the baldy was about to say something, the other man who had not said anything until now finally spoke. "There’s no need for you to argue. Baldy, go and take care of that group."

The leader of this group was a man with a tall stature. Other than that, he had an athletic body, with the muscles that were exposed clearly showing the lines. He was having beards that were well trimmed, with his mustache standing out.

All in all, he actually looked like a butler, with him currently wearing a suit, something that completely stood out from his other companions that were wearing combat equipment. He really looked carefree, looking like nobody that was here for a fight at all.

After the baldy heard what this man said, he did not say anything and immediately left the room that they were in. Currently, they were inside a building in the middle of the city. This was the tallest building present in the entire city, and initially, it belonged to an organization that was destroyed during the war several years ago.

After exiting the building, the baldy looked in the direction that Henry and his group were in. With a cold light in his eyes, he started walking towards that direction.

At the same time, in his mind, he was thinking, ’Just you wait. If I get a chance of getting stronger than you are, I will make sure that I take care of you. How dare you try to bully me right now? You trying to make a joke out of me? Just you wait.’

This baldy was holding resentment towards the group of three that was mocking him previously. Of course, he only resented them, but he did not dare to do that to the man with the suit.

After all, even if somebody hated someone, then, they had to know if they were going to be capable of paying back the hatred. Why would someone hate someone that they were not capable of dealing with?

Wouldn’t that hatred be a burden for them if they did not have the capabilities of taking care of it? So, although he didn’t like the way that the leader commanded, there was nothing that he could do considering that he did not have a chance against that leader of theirs.

Currently, there was nothing that he could do to any member of the team that he had come over with. But, that did not imply that he would continue holding in the resentment. He needed somewhere to vent his anger.

So, at this point, he had already decided in his heart that Henry and his group were the ones that were going to take care of the frustration that he was having.

At the end of the day, if Henry and his group did not actually come inside here, killed the puppets, then, he would have definitely not been asked to come out of the building. So, he would not have been mocked by the others, at least not for now.

Henry and his group did not know what was going on. So far, they had already been walking for more than 10 minutes, but they had not encountered any life-form present within this place.

"Could it be that all the life here has been terminated?" Adam asked. Had it not been for the fact that there was no exit from this place, then, he would have been the first person to suggest that they got out of this place. After all, this was just a wastage of time for them.

"That seems to be the case. As you can see there, there is actually a sign of a recent battle. It is just that, this battle seems to have occurred not long ago. It should be at most a few days ago." Olivia stated as she made observations onto the ground.

Henry and the rest of the group looked over. Of course, they could see the traces of the battle. It was true that the entire city was covered in traces of battle everywhere. But, the ones that they were seeing were quite recent, even the vegetation in that surrounding area had actually been destroyed as well.

"It seems that there’s somebody else inside here. Those puppets are enough proof that there is someone that is controlling everything from behind the scene. And I do believe that perhaps this is the same person that is blocking the way out of this place." Henry stated after a moment of thought.

"We’ll just have to find that person. I cannot continue staying inside here if there’s nothing of importance here." Olivia stated indifferently. The indifference in her voice was simply because of the fact that she was worried about Sarah.

Sarah was left outside of the cave together with Storm inside the Jeep. Of course, she did not believe that there was actually anybody within this city that was capable of entering into the Jeep if they were not allowed to.

It was just that she was worried that Sarah would wake up and she was not there. It was a good thing that Storm was capable of communication verbally. Additionally, after they entered this place, the telepathic connection that was present between Henry and Storm was not cut off like the time that they had entered the dungeon in Crystal city.

"Pay attention. There’s someone that is approaching." Henry stated. At this point, he could feel that there was killing intent that was approaching them.

Amongst the group, he was the one with the sharpest senses. He did not know the reason behind that considering that even Lenta had not actually noticed anything, and even Diana and Julie had not done so.

The three of them, one was a monster, another was an assassin, and another one was an archer. So, the three were actually supposed to be the ones that had the best sensitivities, especially so for Lenta because he was actually a monster.

Olivia and the rest of the group became attentive. Initially, they could not feel anything. But after a moment, they finally felt the killing intent that was approaching them.

It was just that they could tell that this killing intent was quite a distance away. But surprisingly, they could actually feel it here. And, the thickness of that killing intent was suffocating, indicating that the one that was approaching them was definitely someone who had killed so many creatures.

After noticing that, everybody became attentive. At the same time, each and every one of them took out their weapons, ready to attack. They knew that if this person was actually capable of staying inside here, and possess such a large amount of killing intent, then, that implied that this person was definitely not weak, right?

Not willing to risk anything, the group did not make any other move, but instead, they stayed in that place. But of course, they made sure that there were no traps around them, or any other thing that could actually make them fall at a disadvantage.
