Chapter 238: Entering the Cave, Blunder (edited)

"That’s right. Just behind that hill, there is a cave that leads to the ruins." Livingstone responded.

Henry turned around and looked what the direction that Livingstone was pointing. There, he could see that there was a hill that Livingstone was pointing towards.

But, no matter how he looked at it, that hell looked inconspicuous, looking like there was actually nothing there. But, thinking about Livingstone’s words and behavior, it was clear that whatever he was saying was true.

From the fact that there was a group of people that was guarding this area, Henry was sure that there was something here. Otherwise, why would Livingstone bring a group of people here?

Moreover, the behavior of the monsters here was kind of strange considering that they did not approach this area, making sure that they kept a safe distance of about 1 km radius from this area.

"Let’s get going then. We don’t really have much time, remember that. And, let me tell you something, you better not try playing some tricks on us. If you do, then, you should know that there will be consequences for your actions." Henry stated.

Although it was true that he really did not care about whatever plot that Livingstone was having, but, this was the apocalypse. So, it was better to be cautious considering that even a person that you had underestimated might end up causing you the biggest problem, even ending with taking that person’s life away.

Livingstone nodded his head. Initially, he was intending to have Henry and his group enter into that cave that led to the ruins, but, he decided against it considering that Henry was keeping an eye on him.

The group walked forward. Livingstone had brought with him a group of three people, all of them in the bronze rank. Of course, not just level one, but, two of them were at level 3 and another one was at level 4 of the bronze rank.

This was something that surprised Henry a little, but, just thinking about the fact that the zombies were still present within the city, then, these people were actually presented with a source of leveling up. So, it was not that much strange that there was a group of people that had managed to reach level 4 of the Bronze rank.

Of course, if a person was boosted by the red mist and managed to reach the bronze rank, then, it would be easy for them to level up from there as long as they killed more monsters.

The group that was in charge of guarding the area did not leave. Instead, they remained behind in order to make sure that nobody managed to sneak into this place.

The overgrowth of the vegetation in this area was quite high, as compared to the other areas. But, it was not difficult for Henry and his group to be able to go through and reach the entrance of the cave that was located behind the hill.

From how Henry could see it, this place did not look like a place where an opportunity could be found. Additionally, from outside, he could only see darkness within the cave. And at the same time, he could feel that there was actually a sense of danger that was coming from within the cave.

This was enough to inform him that there was actually something that was capable of threatening him inside that cave. It was just that, he did not know what it was.

"Are there any traps present?" Henry asked as he looked at Livingstone.

"Not at all. After we enter the cave, we will be entering another domain or something. But, after we enter the cave, it is as if we are entering another world. Inside there, there is danger in the form of monsters, which for some reason are not capable of getting out of the cave." Livingstone responded.

Although currently he was accompanying Henry and his group, he really was not willing to enter into that cave right now. Not to mention the dangers that were present inside there, he was not willing to be with Henry against group because he wanted to take their Jeep away.

"Lead the way then." Henry stated indifferently.

"Huh? Me?" Livingstone was surprised by what Henry had said. Was Henry trying to use him as a cannon fodder?

"Of course it is you. Who do you expect us to be asking to lead the way? You already got into that place, and then came out. So, you should be in the know of the routes that we are supposed to follow in order to avoid danger.

Didn’t we say it already? We are in a hurry, so, we are not willing to waste a lot of time while exploring this place." Adam retorted impatiently. Of course, he wanted to get done with this thing as soon as possible.

Although Olivia and Diana did not say anything, the same could be applied to them. Of course, they needed an opportunity in order to get stronger because they knew that there are going to be very strong opponents in the near future.

But at the same time, they wanted to get to their families. So, if this exploration was going to take a lot of time, then, they would better go back home first and find their families, before coming back for later exploration.

"But I really don’t want to get inside there. I already informed you that there is a lot of danger, something that I am not willing to take. So, why don’t you go ahead?" Livingstone stated indignantly.

"Didn’t you just hear what I said? You already know about..." Adam was already infuriated by Livingstone with the way that he was behaving. He was just about to reprimand him when he was stopped by Henry.

"There’s no need to force him to go inside if he doesn’t want to. Anyway, it is a matter of choice, and it is good enough that he has shown us this place." Henry stated.

Although Adam could not understand what Henry was planning, he did not object his decision. In any case, it was not as if it was going to be difficult for them to be able to explore this area, as long as there was no monster that was in the golden rank inside there.

Livingstone was also surprised. It was Henry who had suggested that he entered there, but, he was the one that was suggesting that he remain behind now? Although he felt that there was something wrong, Livingstone was still happy with the decision that Henry had made.

But, that excitement that he was feeling inside his heart melted away the moment that Henry spoke again.

"You don’t have to worry that much. We are going to leave behind storm to take care of any issues that happen while we are gone. I hope he can be of assistance to your camp in case there is an attack." Henry stated.

Although he really wanted to enter the ruins with all his summoned creatures, he decided against it for now. Although it was true that he did not have the intention of conquering this place, this city, but, that did not imply that he was going to allow Livingstone to play as a tyrant.

But, he was only going to take action if there was a need for him to do so. And that was the exact reason why he was leaving Storm behind.

Without even looking at Livingstone, Henry led the way and entered into the cave. Olivia and the rest of the group followed behind, but all of them were cautious.

Just like Henry, they had already detected that there was a sense of danger from within this cave. So, they had to be as careful as possible considering that they might end up losing their lives at any moment within the cave.

Looking at the group that was entering the cave, Livingstone snorted coldly. At the same time, he thought to himself, ’I hope that you don’t come out. I was only lucky to come out with my son and the rest of the group because of the assistance that we got. But for you, you will definitely die inside there. And if you don’t die, by the time that you come out, I will make sure that I kill you all.’

"After I kill all of you, I will make sure that I conquer the entire Raga. At that time, it would definitely not be a dream for me to be able to become a king. And, I should be able to start expanding from there on." Livingstone stated, this time loudly.

It was only after a few seconds that Livingstone finally remembered something. He had actually forgotten about the fact that not all the members of Henry’s group had entered the cave, but instead, there was one of them that remained behind.

And, due to the fact that he was losing his mind due to his obsession and greed, together with the anger that he was having, he had actually forgotten that Livingstone was here.

’I hope that this monster doesn’t understand what I just said. After all, if it does, then I’m in deep trouble.’ Livingstone thought to himself as he sweated.

Storm was looking at Livingstone coldly. Of course, Storm was able to understand whatever it was that Livingstone was saying. So, it turned out that there was a person that had malicious intentions towards his master.

Henry had already instructed him that if there was anybody that was trying to play a trick, then, that person had to be killed, or storm could punish them in whatever way that he thought was good for him.

Livingstone was just about to say something when suddenly, Storm pounced towards him.
