Chapter 237: Adjustments, Ruins Location

"Okay, stop that. I already said that I don’t want much nonsense. So, you better go straight to the point and give me all the information about that opportunity that you were talking about." Henry waved his hand to prevent Olivia and the rest of the group from speaking any further as he questioned looking at Livingstone. He had already began getting impatient.

Livingstone who was soaked in sweat despite feeling that he was inside an ice cavern came back to his senses. At this moment, he suddenly realized that there was actually danger that this group possessed.

It was not just the Jeep that they possess that possessed an advantage, but, they themselves were actually so strong. It was no wonder that he felt such a ferocious aura from the monsters.

Of course, it was not as if this was the first time that he had seen a summoner. It was just that, none of those that he had seen so far had any monster that was as strong as the ones that had come over.

So, Livingstone immediately realized that he had to make his moves cautiously. Otherwise, if he did anything wrong, then, he might not even know how he had died.

That aura that he had felt, it simply came from one of them. And, he was not the leader, but the leader was actually here as well. That implied that, the leader had to be stronger considering that this was the apocalypse.

If a subordinate was this strong, then, how strong could the leader be? And since he had realized that, he decided that he was going to play everything cautiously.

So, without hiding any more information, he went ahead and told Henry and his group about the ruins that he had found. Of course, these ruins were being kept as a secret by the two of them, he and his son.

The team that they had gone there with had all been completely erased. It was not inside the ruins that killed all of them, but, after the two of them got out of the ruins, they made sure to kill the survivors, just to make sure that the secret about the ruins was not leaked.

It was a good thing that the location of the ruins was not somewhere that could be easily accessed. So, the duo made sure that they selected a group of people that patrolled that area, making sure that nobody headed in that direction.

Of course, although it was difficult to be able to spot that ruin, all thanks to the changes that had occurred recently, they did not want to take the chances. And, all those that were patrolling that area were kind of trusted.

Of course, the trust that Livingstone believed in was that, there was something that he could depend on to make sure that those people did not betray him. For that reason, all those that were patrolling that area had the lives of the members of their families threatened. If they tried to give away the secret, then, they were going to lose their families.

Of course, what Livingstone was afraid of was not the secret being leaked to the people that were present inside his camp, but, the information reaching those people that were not members of his camp.

If something like that happened, then, a war was going to erupt. But, that was not something that Livingstone wanted, at least not for now. He wanted to stabilize himself first before trying to capture the entire Raga city.

"Alright, from the information that I have received from you, it is clear that we don’t really have to make any preparations. So, do you mind taking us there?" Henry asked after Livingstone had finished giving the information.

Livingstone remained silent as he looked at Henry speechlessly. It was clear that he had actually not finished speaking about the details of the ruins. But, from the looks of it, Henry and his group were quite impatient, something that was going to work to his advantage.

’As long as they get inside there, I do doubt that they would be able to come out without any preparations made before going in. Anyway, even if they come out alive, as long as they are delayed inside there, I would be able to gain control over the Jeep.’ Livingstone thought silently.

"Okay. I will be making the preparations. We should be able to go there in 10 minutes." Livingstone stated.

"Is it that far? Because if it is somewhere that we are going to take some time to get there, we better use our own car to get there. We don’t really have much time." Henry asked with a frown on his face.

"Not really. If we decide to walk there, it is definitely going to take us about 1 hour at most?" Livingstone said with a forced smile.

Of course, he understood what it was that Henry was implying. If they went there with the Jeep, then, that was going to reduce the chances that he was having in order to be able to obtain the Jeep.

"An hour is too long. So, we’ll be going there with the Jeep." Henry stated, not giving Livingstone a chance of saying anything.

Livingstone could not do anything about this matter. Anyway, it was not as if there was any way that he was going to convince Henry and his group not to go there with the Jeep.

Of course, he could have mentioned about the terrain, but, it was not as if Henry and his group had not come out of Raga. So, they had definitely noticed the terrain of the world.

But if they were able to get here, then, that implied that the abilities of that Jeep was just too good, something that made Livingstone feel that he was actually supposed to be the one in possession of that Jeep.

After arrangements were made, Henry and the group left. Of course, the Jeep was able to accommodate Livingstone together with a few of his men. He had decided to leave his son behind in order to protect the camp while he was away.

Inside the Jeep, Livingstone could not help but get even more amazed by how advanced the Jeep was. Just the level of technology that was present inside the Jeep was high-tech, something that he had only seen in sci-fi movies.

The sound system, the navigation system, and even the fact that the space inside the Jeep was way bigger than how it could be seen from the outside.

After being given the general direction of the location of the ruins, Henry began driving in that direction. Of course, this time, the place where the ruins were located could be seen on the map considering that the map was able to cover 30 km radius.

Instead of driving in a roundabout way, Henry decided to just go straight. In case there was anything that was blocking his path, it would be destroyed. Whether it was vegetation, or monsters, none of them was able to remain standing as long as Henry attacked using the Jeep.

And the more he witnessed the abilities of the Jeep, the more amazed Livingstone was, and the more his obsession of the Jeep became. And, it was getting difficult for him to be able to restrain himself from going ahead and taking control of the Jeep from Henry.

But, it was also during this moment that he also realized something. That was the fact that, the controls of the Jeep were way more advanced than he could understand. And of course, since he was not closer to the control area of the Jeep, he could not see everything that Henry was doing clearly.

It seemed that he had to adjust his plans first. Even if he managed to get to the Jeep right now, he would not be able to control it. And if that was the case, then, there was no way that he was going to be able to destroy Henry and his group.

So, taking over the Jeep right now was definitely a very bad idea. But, that was not going to be the case later on. So, at this point, Livingstone already began making another plan in his mind, a plan that he was going to make sure that he got to know how to control the Jeep from Henry.

After about 30 minutes, Henry and his group finally arrived in that area that was pointed by Livingstone. After they arrived here, they noticed that there was a group of humans in this area.

After this group noticed the Jeep that was approaching, they did not hesitate to prepare themselves to attack. They had been here for some time now, and it was very rare for anybody to come over.

Additionally, for some strange reasons, monsters did not actually approach this area. And, the monsters in this place were those that came from within the ruins, and not from outside.

It was quite lonely for them to stay here, other than that, it was quite a problem when it came to getting food. Still, they did not have any other choice but to stay here considering that their families were in the camp, and if they decided to leave, then, that meant that their families were going to be killed.

After arriving in this area, Henry and his group alighted from the Jeep. According to Livingstone, where they had reached, it was not that far from the ruins.

Still, what Henry and the group found strange was that they could not see any ruins. Instead, all that they could see was vegetation that was covering this place.

After the group that was in charge of guarding this place noticed that Livingstone was amongst the group that had come over, they finally relaxed a little. But, the resentment within their eyes could not be hidden, but, they did not say anything considering that they were not strong enough to deal with Livingstone.

"Are you sure that this is the place?" Henry asked as he looked around with a frown.

"That’s right. Just behind that hill, there is a cave that leads to the ruins." Livingstone responded.
