Just as expected, Henry realized that the terrain had already changed after the descent of the second stage of the apocalypse. Currently, there was no determined road that they could actually use in order to reach the next city, which was Rago.

Due to the overgrowth of the vegetation, the roads had already been destroyed. Additionally, it was not strange to find that there were areas that had a forest covering the entire road and the surrounding areas, and, from time to time, they would find that that was actually a hill in a place that it was not supposed to be there.

Of course, all this information came from Olivia. She had already been in Crystal City before, so she was possessing information about Rago city.

For that reason, Henry decided not to follow the directions that he was being given by Olivia. Instead, he waited for Olivia to point the general direction of Rago city. After that, he used the system navigation maps to move in that direction.

It was quite a pity that the navigation maps that were present in the Jeep currently did not cover the entire country. Instead, it covered the surrounding 30 kilometers radius.

But, Rago was not within these 30 km radius. But still, Henry was sure that it would not be long before they managed to gain a grasp of the terrain of Rago.

Along the way, they encountered several monsters that attempted to launch an attack on them. But, since the Jeep had been upgraded to the third star, its power had also been increased.

Previously, the Jeep was in possession of attack power of a level 5 bronze rank mutant warrior. But now, it was capable of easily killing a level 9 bronze rank apocalyptic creature. As for a silver rank creature, that was going to be injured grievously if it did not take caution.

The same applied to the defense system of the Jeep. It was capable of blocking an attack of a silver rank apocalyptic creature. It was just that, it could only block a single attack from a silver rank apocalyptic creature before it experienced damage in the next attack.

Not willing to waste time, Henry continuously used the Jeep in attacking. As for obstacles on the way, as long as he realized on the navigation map that there was no any other way that he could go, then, he simply blasted away the forest that was on his path.

It was a good thing that the navigation system of the Jeep was present. So, as long as Rago was detected in the map, then, Henry could set a destination, and the navigation map system of the Jeep will set a route that the Jeep could follow and arrive easily at the destination.

Since the Jeep was not moving at its full speed, they had no choice but to go slowly. The distance from Crystal City to Rago was over 90 km. So, it was going to take some time for them to arrive there considering that they were moving at a speed of about 20 to 30 km/h due to the obstructions that had been created with the descent of the second stage of the apocalypse.

Completely different from Crystal City, this city was not attacked by any other force that did not belong to this planet. Instead, all that they had to face were the group of monsters, together with the zombies.

For that reason, Rago was able to maintain a lot of power. And currently, the previous governor was the Lord of the main survivor camp that was present in Rago.

Of course, it was inevitable that there would always be a group of people that did not want to follow the government. And for that reason, they had also created camps of their own.

Of course, the governor was not happy about this. But, it was just that there was nothing that he could do about it considering that he did not have enough manpower to deal with both the attacking races together with the humans. And of course, the races here were the monster and the zombie race.

The destruction that had been caused in Rago was quite better as compared to Crystal City. Even the vegetation that had managed to suddenly emerge in the city was not as high as compared to the one that had affected Crystal City.

For that reason, the city currently possessed several buildings that were still in quite good shape, and could be accommodated by people.

And, it was in one of these buildings that was located closer to the outskirts of the city that a meeting was ongoing.

The head of the meeting was a middle-aged man, possessing a stern expression, with eyes that screamed evil. He was the previous governor of Rago, before the apocalypse descended.

During the time that he was the governor, he was having a lot of enemies. And for that reason, he had no choice but to hire a large number of bodyguards to protect him.

Not only him, but even his family. He had to make sure that none of them was kidnapped because that was going to affect him in one way or the other.

And, after realizing that hiring bodyguards was quite difficult to considering that the majority of them were only loyal to the company that they were working for, he decided to purchase a security company.

After purchasing a security company, he offered a lot of money, to hire several professional bodyguards from different companies. And, it was only then that he finally relaxed a little.

Immediately after the apocalypse descended, he used the members of his security company to easily gain power. Of course, he was a smart person to be able to survive until now.

So, the first thing that he decided to do after realizing that the apocalypse had descended was to make sure that he moved away from the city.

Unlike Crystal City where the zombies were cleared out by the necromancers, in Rago, the zombies were the dominating force here. So, they moved to the outskirts of the city, where the number of people was small, guaranteeing a small number of zombies in that area.

And immediately after they cleared an area, he instructed the bodyguards that were working for his security company to begin collecting food and other necessities.

It did not matter if they went ahead and robbed others, or blackmailed them, but, as long as they got what he wanted, then, he did not care.

For that reason, he was able to accumulate a large number of resources in a short period of time. Additionally, he himself had also realized that people were capable of getting stronger by killing the zombies and the monsters that were attacking the humans.

So, due to the fact that he possessed a gun, he began killing monsters, gaining energy. And, after getting stronger, he set aside the gun and began using his own strength to kill the monsters, allowing him to level up.

And currently, he had already reached the sixth level of the Bronze rank. He was currently the second strongest person in the entire city, at least for those that were known in his territory.

As for the strongest person in the entire city, that was his first born son. His son was at the 8th level of the Bronze rank. And, for the two of them to be able to reach the level that they were in, all of this was due to a lucky encounter.

After gaining the strength, he no longer had to depend on the members of the security company to do everything for him. After all, it was not long that the members of the security company realized that law had finally collapsed in this world.

Additionally, the money that they were being paid by the governor was now considered useless. But, by the time that several of them wanted to revolt, the governor had already become stronger, making them helpless.

There was yet another fact that they knew, and that was the fact that the governor was a cruel person. Whoever it was that attempted to go against him, he would kill them without hesitation.

But, he was a person that used both carrot and stick. So, for those that showed loyalty to him, he would reward them with several items. As for those that went against him, he killed them without mercy.

Of course, he had taken the chance that he possessed greater strength in order to kill off all the enemies that he had made during the time that he was a governor. After all, he was not sure about what these people were going to do during this apocalypse.

"I want to know what is going on outside of the city. Currently, we are located closer to the outskirts of the city. And, recently, the movements of the monsters has become quite erratic.

This is definitely not a good sign. It was not long ago that we had to deal with the monsters that charged into the city, before attacking us. It was a good thing that they were not in an alliance with the zombie race." Livingstone, the former governor of Raga stated as he looked at the group of people present.

He was currently seated on the main seat of the conference table. Behind him stood a man who had a striking resemblance with him, but, just a little younger. He was giving out a suffocating aura that made the people present in the room to sweat.

And, occupying the chairs that were around the conference table, was a group of people that were previously members of the high society. Of course Livingstone was not the only person that utilized the power of money to gain power.

And other than the members of the high society, there were other people that were also here due to their own strength. Livingstone had decided to keep them close, because he was going to use their strength someway or somehow.

"Does anyone have any idea about what is going on?" Livingstone questioned as he eyed every person inside the room.
