Chapter 228: Departure, Upgraded Jeep

Having already decided on the number of people that were going to leave, Henry decided that the largest number of people was going to remain behind.

Although it might be difficult for Jasmine to control this place, but still she possessed enough strength. And other than that, there was Sebastian, someone who had already decided that he was going to protect the territory.

At first, Sebastian was definitely against the rules that had been set by Henry. The methods that Henry was using were considered cruel in a democratic country. In fact, it was no different from dictatorship.

But, he came to realize that in this apocalypse, there was no any other method that could be used to deal with these unruly people. If it was during the normal times, then, whatever mistakes these people made, at least they would be punished by the law.

But in the apocalypse, these mistakes could as well lead to the fall of the entire territory, affecting the entire population. So, it was better to deal with them as soon as possible, and at the same time, using those that were causing havoc, to make sure that the others remained in line.

What made Sebastian change his mind was the fact that Henry did not take anything from anyone for free. Even the mutation crystals, all of them were gotten and in return, the people that had brought the mutation crystals were given merit points, which was a currency that was used in the Domination Star territory.

Due to the fact that Henry had utilized these harsh methods, he had managed to stabilize the territory in this apocalypse. And, Sebastian did not see the reason for breaking this piece that was currently here, together with the cooperation that existed between the members of the territory.

For that reason, he was willing to support the territory. It was true that he was actually possessing an SS grade profession, which was a grade higher than Jasmine’s. But still, he did not mind being under her.

At the end of the day, not to mention the fact that Jasmine possessed skills of management, something that he lacked, but, she was also a person that had gained Henry’s trust.

More than that, even Sebastian himself was not sure that he could actually defeat Jasmine. At the end of the day, it might be true that she was a mage, a grade lower than him, but still, she possessed the lightning element, together with lightning manipulation, something that boosted her strength.

To make the arrangements, Henry and his group took 3 days. This was just to ensure that in case of an emergency, there was a suitable response to it. Additionally, before leaving, Henry and his group made sure that there was no danger that was looming in the surrounding areas.

But, even if there was danger, Henry did not believe that Jasmine would be incapable of dealing with it. After all, she was currently at the silver rank, and although she had not yet reached level 9, but, she was at level 8 of the silver rank.

Not only her, but even Arthur, Sebastian, and many others had already reached the silver rank. As for the rest of the people, as long as they were in possession of a combat profession, they had at least reached the bronze rank, even those that had not been boosted by the red mist.

That implied that currently, the entire territory possessed the greatest strength possible in the entire surrounding areas. All of this was thanks to the territory dungeon, something that allowed 200 people to enter the dungeon and level up.

Of course, when compared to the number of people that the entire territory possessed, this number was incredibly small. But, it was a good thing that they did not solely depend on the territory dungeon to level up.

Although the number of monsters in the surrounding areas of the city was low, but still, the levels of the monsters was also continuously rising. The reason behind this nobody understood, but still, they appreciated it.

Added to the benefits that they were receiving after handing over the bodies of the monsters together with the mutation crystals, everybody was enthusiastic to go hunting.

This was something that had even made some other people that possessed the non-combat professions to envy those that possessed combat professions. And, it was not strange to find that a person that possessed a non-combat profession decided to go out to hunt monsters, because this was the most luxurious job that was present in the entire territory.

It was just that, because of these impulsive decisions, several people had ended up dead. After all, it might be true that they had already reached the bronze rank, but, that did not imply that they actually possessed the combat capabilities of a bronze rank apocalyptic creature.

"Is everything ready?" Henry asked Olivia after seeing her walking over. Currently, they were outside of the main territory building. They were going to depart on this particular day, so, they had to make sure that everything was actually in place before they left.

"Yes. I have made sure that everything is in position. All that we can do is hope that there is no danger that is going to approach the territory during the time that we will be away." Olivia nodded her head as she responded.

She knew that currently, although the territory was actually considered the strongest in this area, but still, that did not imply that there would be no strong danger that would approach.

Additionally, she had already realized that the members of the dark race would definitely descend again. And, that was definitely going to happen from now, to the third stage of the apocalypse.

It was just that they had not yet confirmed if the members of the dark race were going to descend when the third stage of the apocalypse arrived, or they might actually use some special methods to send someone over.

"Okay. We should get going then. There’s no need for us to continue staying here if there’s no need for us to do so. Currently, we are a long distance away from our destination." Henry responded.

The group was going to leave using the Jeep and the other vehicles that had been upgraded by Henry.

Even before leaving, Henry had already upgraded several vehicles inside the territory. And, for Jasmine, he had actually upgraded a vehicle for her to the third star.

As for Sebastian, he had gotten a two-star off-road Jeep Wrangler, with improved attack and defense system. But of course, all of these were considered useless considering that the defense and attack power of the Jeep did not match Sebastian’s.

Still, it was way better in dealing with a large crowd of low level apocalyptic creatures. And other than that, there was also a fact that it was quite convenient to move around in.

Of course, Henry did not stop at that. Instead, he went ahead and upgraded his own Jeep to the third star as well. Additionally, he had gone ahead and improved the Jeep, increasing the carrying capacity.

And, it was during this time that the magic of the system came again. Somehow, the size of the Jeep did not change if someone looked at it from outside. But still, once a person entered the Jeep, they would be surprised to realize that the Jeep was quite big inside, as compared to the outward appearance.

If possible, Henry wanted to upgrade the Jeep to the fourth star. It was just that, there was a condition for him to be able to upgrade the Jeep to the fourth level, and that was, he needed to have a single Level 1 Golden Rank mutation crystal.

That was yet another thing that required a golden rank mutation crystal, and, until now, Henry had not encountered any gold rank apocalyptic creature.

The upgraded Jeep currently possessed navigation maps, sensors, scanners, product systems, early warning, and advanced voice system, basic AI control system.

The advanced voice system was almost the same as an AI, but, it was just a level low. Henry was able to give commands, but, he could only give simple commands like the automated driving, opening the doors of the Jeep and so on.

But when it came to the time of fighting, he had to take control personally, because the AI that the Jeep possessed was not capable of doing that efficiently.

Since they were leaving, Henry decided not to upgrade the vehicles that were possessed by Adam, Olivia, and Sarah. At the end of the day, they were going to move in the same direction, so, they were going to move in the same vehicle.

Moreover, it was not as if it was going to be a difficult task for Henry to be able to upgrade a vehicle to the second star. So, rather than attracting a lot of attention with several vehicles moving at the same time, it was better for them to move in a single vehicle.

Sarah had yet to wake up until now. So, they had no choice but to carry her into the Jeep. Due to the upgrade of the space of the Jeep, it was actually like a small house inside the Jeep.

Currently, they had three rows of seats behind the driver’s seat. And other than that, there was yet the compartment that was quite big, being capable of accommodating both Storm and Lenta.

"With everything set, let us get going." Henry stated after realizing that everybody had already boarded the Jeep. Then, he began driving out of the main territory, before driving out of Crystal City that was still undergoing renovation, and disappearing into the distance in the western side.
