Chapter 227: Preparations to Leave

During the past 2 weeks, Henry and the group had already entered the dungeon several times. And due to that, Henry was able to rise his warlock profession to level 9 of the Silver Rank.

As for his summoner profession, it remained stuck in the same rank. No matter how many times Lenta, Diana and Storm tried to kill as many monsters as possible, they were not capable of ensuring that the profession reached the golden rank.

That was something that frustrated Henry. This kind of limitation was not something that he was expecting during the time that he was given a chance of selecting two professions. But right now, there was nothing that he could do about it.

As for his warlock profession, he had tried killing as many monsters as possible during his previous trip into the dungeon, but it had not yet succeeded in reaching the golden rank as well.

During that trip, he had already reached the 9th level of the silver rank, but, even after spending the entire day inside the territory dungeon, there was no change that occurred.

Additionally, the energy that was supposed to be used in leveling up was somehow disappearing. He could not feel the impact of killing the monsters, and it was just as if he was killing several rank O monsters while he himself was at the silver rank.

So, having already realized that there was no change that was going to happen even if he went into the dungeons several times, he decided that he was not going to enter the dungeon anytime soon.

Instead, he had decided that he was going to start venturing outside of the territory to try and look, to see if he was going to be capable of finding any golden rank apocalyptic creature to kill.

In this apocalypse, it did not really matter if he found a creature and killed it. After all, it was not as if they had to have a grudge between them before they could fight to kill each other. Instead, it was already decided from the start that it was going to be a battle for domination.

Olivia and the rest of the group had also progressed. Just like himself, Olivia, Adam, Jasmine, Sebastian, and several other people like Julie, and Arthur, they had already reached level 9 of the Silver Rank after two consecutive trips into the dungeon.

To say the least, currently, the Domination Star territory was as strong as it could be. After all, to give away the remaining spots, Henry went ahead and selected several people with great potential, possessing high grade professions to enter the dungeon.

And, for the remaining spots, as long as a person possessed enough merit points, then, they would be able to enter the dungeon after paying for it. But as usual, Henry was not going to take care of them inside the dungeon, and neither was Olivia and the rest of the core members of the territory.

Currently, the most important thing that they had to do was to level up. And for that reason, there was nobody that was going to babysit a group of people, adults at that. So, Henry had already given a warning that once a person enters the territory dungeon, their lives would depend on themselves.

If they entered the territory dungeon, then, if they lost their lives, their relatives and friends were not supposed to blame anybody inside the territory.

Although it might be true that they went in in groups, but still, there were two incidences where several people died after encountering a monster that was several levels ahead of them.

And due to that, only those courageous people tried to enter the territory dungeon. As for the rest, they decided that they were going to hunt outside of the city, instead of entering the dungeon after hearing how dangerous it was inside there.

Of course, Henry did not really care about their decisions. To him, as long as the main members of the territory became stronger, then, that was going to be enough. As for the rest, it was not as if it was going to be a very difficult task for him to be able to get another group of people.

"Okay. Currently, the situation inside here has already stabilized. I do believe that it will not take a very long time before everything goes as planned, and the city is repaired." Henry stated as he looked at the people around him.

At this moment, they were inside the conference room that was present inside the main territory building. Henry had requested for a meeting because he was having another plan in his mind.

"So, I am planning on moving to another place. This is not my home after all, and I have to go and look for my family. So, it is going to be your decision whether you’re going to come with me, or you are going to stay behind." Henry continued.

All those that were present inside here were Olivia, Adam, Jasmine, Diana, Maxwell, Sebastian, Arthur, Julie, and two new other people that had managed to join the core of the territory.

All those that were present inside here other than Maxwell had already reached level 9 of the Silver Rank. But, of course, when it came to combat power, it depended on the skills that they possessed, and other than that, the grade of the professions that they possessed.

As they listened to what Henry had said, they remained silent. Of course, everybody understood that currently, Henry was not actually from here. That was the information that they had only received recently, only coming to realize that not only Henry, but, Adam, Sarah, and Olivia were all not members of Crystal City. As for the details, nobody knew.

"I’ll be going with you. I don’t really know the situation that my family is currently in. So, I’ll be going to make sure that everything is okay." Olivia stated.

Adam did not say anything. After all, to him, it was obvious that he was going to go together with Henry. After all, the two of them came from the same city.

Additionally, it was not as if he was not worried about his family as well. It was just that, there was nothing that he could do previously.

It was true that they might have decided to leave Crystal City and go back to their homes to look for their families, but, nobody could guarantee what it was that they were going to meet along the way.

So, it was better to have somewhere that they could call their own territory. After all, even if they found their families, there was still the battle of domination that they had to participate in.

And, only by having a place where they could bring their own families to ensure their safety, could they feel relieved.

"I don’t think I will be able to accompany you on that journey. I’ll remain behind to take care of the territory for you." Jasmine stated after a moment of silence.

Not to mention the fact that her father and her sister were present inside here, but, Crystal City was also her home. She had not been going to the other cities to stay there, other than during the meetings that her father was having during the time that he was the governor.

So, she was not really willing to go to an unfamiliar place, unless it was necessary. But, if there was an incident where Henry required her combat assistance, then, she would not mind going over.

It was just that, she did not think that she was required that much considering that both Adam and Olivia that were going to accompany Henry were well stronger than she was.

"The same applies to me. Although it is true that Crystal City is not really my hometown, but, I don’t have any family. I have stayed in Crystal City for several years now ever since I got out of the military. So, I also stay here to ensure the safety of this place." Sebastian stated.

Arthur and the others also decided to stay within Crystal City. Anyway, this was their home, and they did not think that there was a need for them to go out. Additionally, it was not as if Henry was actually asking them to go with him. Because if he did, there was nobody that was going to refuse.

Whatever it was that Henry had done for them until now, they were really grateful for that. And currently, their loyalty towards Henry was quite high. But, it had not definitely reached the level where they were willing to sacrifice their lives for him.

Of course, that was something that Henry already knew. It was just that, he was not going to ask them for something like that. To him, the lower the number of people that were going to leave with him, the better.

This time, it was not as if he was heading out for a fight, but instead, he wanted to look for his family. And for that reason, the less attention that they attracted, the better.

Just as Henry was about to finally conclude the meeting, someone interrupted him.

"I’ll be going with you." Julie stated.

"Any reason behind that?" Henry asked curiously. This young lady had always been silent, just like the profession that she possessed. Most of the time, people would tend to ignore her, and she never tried to attract the attention of others.

But so far, Henry had not interacted with her that much. For that reason, he could not help but wonder the reason why she wanted to join him on this trip.

"I want to go out to increase my experience. Additionally, it is not as if I have anyone here that will make me stay. So, it is better for me to go out and see the situation that the world is currently in." Julie responded.

Henry did not say anything, but, he silently consented with her decision. And with that finally out of the way, Henry went ahead and assigned the roles to the people that were going to remain behind.
