Chapter 223: Fury

But, it was also during this moment that suddenly, something else happened. The black mist that was currently inside her body congregated in one point, closer to her right chest. And in the next moment, it actually exploded.

Boom!

The sound of the explosion could be heard. But the strange thing was the fact that although there was the explosion, there was nothing else that actually happened. At least, Olivia and Adam could not see anything that had changed.

But, just as they were wondering what was going on, Sarah suddenly grimaced in pain. Then, in the next moment, she fell towards the ground.

Olivia’s eyes widened and she rushed forward to grab Sarah. Since she was close to Sarah, she managed to hold her before she could collapse onto the ground.

Looking at Sarah, she realized that Sarah had closed her eyes. She was not responding at all. A little panicked, Olivia began shaking Sarah’s body as she called out, "Sarah, wake up! What’s wrong with you?!"

Adam also came forward. It was true that he did not share that much of a good relationship with Olivia, but it was completely different with Sarah. The two of them had actually met up during the first day, and they had been moving together since then.

And now, they had actually become friends. So, Adam was not willing to see Sarah dying. Other than that, there was also the fact that, Henry would definitely not be pleased with the fact that they were not able to save a member of their territory.

But, Adam was completely helpless in this situation. After all, there was nothing that he could do, considering that he did not even possess any element that could act against the dark element. Moreover, he did not even possess any item that could be of any use in this situation.

Still, he went ahead and knelt onto the ground, just beside Olivia. As for Olivia, she completely ignored Adam, and just focused on Sarah. At this point, she was not thinking anything logically.

Until now, the person that she considered the closest to her was actually Sarah. So, no matter what, she was not willing to see her die. Moreover, if Sarah died right now, that implied that she had died in front of her, and, Olivia was helpless to do anything to help.

Just thinking of this was almost making Olivia lose her mind. So, she did not even notice the moment that Adam stretched his hand and touched Sarah’s neck.

But, he just touched it for a moment when he suddenly retrieved his hand. He was not sure about the reason, but still, he felt that there was something that was trying to invade his body.

"Hey Olivia, you have to be careful. There’s something wrong with Sarah." Adam stated. At the same time, he tried to take off Olivia’s hand away from Sarah’s body.

Boom!

Adam’s body was suddenly launched backwards. He had not been expecting that Olivia was actually going to attack him at this moment. This was completely unexpected, considering that he was not trying to attack her, but instead, he was actually trying to help her out.

He had already detected that there was something wrong with Sarah, but, currently, Olivia was not in her right senses. That implied that, she was not capable of detecting anything unless she paid attention.

But, currently, Olivia was not even thinking logically at all. And, just as Adam got back to his feet, he saw that Olivia was looking at him with her eyes full of anger.

The usually grey eyes had already taken a hint of red, and it did not seem that the redness within her eyes was going to stop spreading anytime soon.

Adam took a deep breath. He was not willing to start fighting with Olivia at a point like this. After all, they had just completed fighting against Smith, as for whether they had won or not, that depended on whether Sarah was going to wake up.

And right now, Adam knew that there was no way that the battle was over. After all, he could tell that there was something wrong with Sarah’s body. There was something that was trying to invade him, and had he not retracted his hand in time, then, whatever it was that was trying to sneak into his body would have definitely done so.

"Olivia, you have to be reasonable! There’s something wrong with Sarah!" Adam shouted.

"Do you think that I don’t see that? Do you think that I think that she’s okay?!" Olivia questioned angrily. She looked at Adam as if she wanted to swallow him.

But, she did not make a move at this point. As for the reason why that was the case, Adam did not know. But still, he believed that Olivia was still rational enough to be able to understand that currently, he was not her enemy.

"I’m telling you the truth. There’s something wrong with her body. I have touched her body, and there’s something that tried to invade into my body. We have to be careful." Adam tried to explain.

"Are you trying to tell me that I’m supposed to leave her to lie down here?!" Olivia questioned, with her anger continuously rising.

It might be true that she never showed much emotion in front of others, but right now, she did not really care about it. Additionally, although she did not act all chummy with Sarah, that didn’t imply that she really didn’t care about her.

"I know what you are thinking. But currently, there’s nothing that we can do about the situation that Sarah is in. It is not as if she had suffered some grievous wounds that can be healed using the healing potion. And currently, she’s not dead, but she’s alive." Adam stated.

Olivia froze for a moment. Then, she finally began paying attention to Sarah. All this while, she really wanted to vent her anger. It was just that, the target of the anger that she wanted to vent was actually inside Sarah’s body.

Although she heard the explosion, she was not sure if Smith who was in the form of the black mist had actually dissipated.

Finally, the cold aura that was beginning to surround her finally began calming down.Olivia then focused on Sarah. She felt her pulse, and felt that it was beating. It was just that, it was slightly weak.

Olivia’s tensed heart finally relaxed a little. But still, she was still feeling panicked. After taking a deep breath, she carried Sarah. She did not pay attention to the fact that Adam had warned her about something being wrong with Sarah.

To her, something like that didn’t even matter. As long as Sarah was okay, then, all the other issues could be dealt with later on.

"Have you not heard what I said? I said that there is something wrong with Sarah’s body. I don’t know what it is, but it was trying to invade my body." Adam reminded helplessly.

It was not as if he really cared that much about Olivia. But, it was just that, currently, she was a member of the Domination Star territory. So, there was no way that he was going to agree to have anything bad happening to her.

Additionally, since Henry was not around, Olivia was currently the strongest combat power that the territory possessed. So, if they lost her, then, the loss of the territory would not be small.

"That is the feeling that you get. But, I don’t really feel anything wrong with her body." Olivia responded nonchalantly. It was not as if she was trying to act irreasonably, but, that was just the feeling that she was getting.

Adam frowned for a moment. He could not help but think that perhaps whatever he had felt was just something that had happened in his imagination. However, it was not as if he was going to make a mistake for something like that.

So, he approached Olivia who was currently heading towards the direction of the city. Currently, the light orbs that had been floating in the air had already dispersed not long ago after Sarah fell unconscious.

So, their vision had been reduced to being capable of only seeing a few meters ahead of them. But still, they did not care that much. Currently, they believed that they had already dealt with every member of the dark race that was present.

And in case there was any that was hiding, they would definitely take care of them later on. But for now, they had to retreat back to the territory.

When they got back, they got the group of humans that was fighting against the skeleton warriors cheering. After all, they had just engaged in their first big battle, and, they had won.

Currently, they had already lit up the surroundings with fire, and other sources of light. So, they did see Olivia and Adam approaching.

But, they could not help but pause a little after realizing that Sarah was being carried. They did not know if she was alive or dead. So, the atmosphere suddenly calmed down, and all the cheers and laughters also died down.

After all, it was not just about Sarah, but, at this point, they were also reminded of those that had fallen during this battle. After all, there were many people here, and many people had actually fallen in this battle.

It might be true that the human race possessed an advantage in terms of numbers, but still, the skeleton warriors also had an advantage of their own. So, it was not strange to find that a person or two were dead because of carelessness or lack of combat experience.

"What happened to her?" Sebastian approached and questioned. He was the one that was in charge of this area, and he had been waiting all along for Adam and the other two to come over.
