Chapter 214: Attack

When night time came, the members of the dark race finally made their appearance. But, they did not charge directly into the city. They had also learnt a lesson that, they were supposed to be cautious, no matter how they thought that the human race was weak.

It was true that the human race was weak, but, within that weak human race, there was always an exception, like the human that was involved in the killing of the clone, and destroying the entire plan that the dark race was having.

As the leader of the members of dark race that had been sent over stood in front of the large number of members of the dark race behind him, he looked towards the city with a gloomy expression on his face.

Although it was true that it was still a city, but, it was currently dominated by vegetation. It was just that, the vegetation there was not as thick as the one that was outside of the city.

Nevertheless, Crystal City now looked like an ancient city that had been abandoned by humans a very long time ago.

Currently, behind the leader of the group, other than the about 300 members of the dark race, there were several monsters that were made from bones. These monsters were the ones that had been hunted by the entire group, to ensure that the necromancers got an army of their own.

These members of the dark race believed that, since the humans around here were not completely eliminated, their number was as high as it could be. But, they were not willing to spend a lot of energy to deal with a crowd.

That was where the necromancers came in. With the large number of skeleton warriors that they currently possessed, it was not going to be that much difficult to be able to deal with the humans.

It might be true that they did not possess the numerical advantage as of yet, considering that there were just about five or six thousand skeleton warriors that had been accumulated by the necromancers.

For some reason, the group had not found a large number of monsters. So, it had taken them a lot of time, almost the entire day in order to be able to acquire these monsters that they had turned into skeleton warriors.

Still, the leader of the group did not care if the monsters currently possessed a leader that was having a plan of its own. Even if that leader possessed a plan of its own, it was not going to work as long as the members of the dark race were present here.

With his red eyes that were glowing in the dark, he gazed towards the direction of Crystal City before saying, "We are going to attack now. But, we are not going to be reckless. Let the puppets go first and test out the humans."

Inside the city, Olivia, Sarah, Adam, Sebastian and the rest of the fighting force of the territory were ready to fight. They were all looking in the same direction, the very same direction that Sarah had stated that she could feel the dark energy coming from.

She was the one who had alerted Olivia about the presence of the members of the dark race at this point. And, it seemed that just as Olivia had expected, they were going to attack at night.

Currently, they possessed the advantage of the fact that, the enemy did not know that they were being waited for. So, Olivia was planning to use this advantage to eliminate as many members of the dark race as possible.

That was the exact reason why although they were ready to fight, nobody had actually charged out. All of them were waiting for the chance and command from Olivia.

Olivia herself had already made preparations for this time. All those that were involved in the fighting were given armors and other equipment of two-stars. Initially, these were items that they were supposed to purchase using merit points, but, currently, they were facing a big fight, so, Olivia took out the equipment.

Just as they were waiting, the ground began shaking. It was true that the shaking was not that intense, and it was like just some small vibrations on the ground, but, this was something that everybody around could feel.

Olivia who was standing on top of a building that was still standing, although it was quite destroyed by the vegetation, looked into the distance. Although she could not see clearly due to the fact that there was no moon in the sky, still, she could clearly feel the killing intent that was approaching them.

"All of you get ready. The enemy is approaching, and you will have to give it your all in order to make sure that you destroy them. Right now, everyone has to fight with their full capabilities. Otherwise, if you don’t kill, you are going to be killed." Olivia stated sternly.

"When the enemy comes, make sure that you fight without any fear. At the end of the day, if it is death, even if one is capable of avoiding it now, as long as we lose now, then, that implies that there is a great chance that we are going to be killed nevertheless in the near future."

"But, that is not something that we want. We members of the human race cannot be underestimated. They are the invaders, we have to kill them all for trying to invade our home and destroying the peace that we were enjoying all this time." Olivia stated everything using a loud voice.

Although she was not that much good at motivations, but, she knew that currently, she had to ensure that everybody was motivated. As long as the morale of the group was high, then, they were going to give their 200% in the fight.

And true to her expectation, the eyes of everyone that was ready to fight shone with fighting spirit and excitement. Had it not been for the fact that they had been asked not to make any noise, then, they will have been shouting loudly.

Currently, they were not standing in the same place, but, they had already been distributed around the area. This way, as long as the members of the dark race came over, they were going to be swarmed from both directions.

Not long after Olivia’s speech, finally, they realized that there was a large group of skeleton monsters that was approaching. And, just the killing intent that was reeking from them was enough to send shivers down the spine of several people amongst the fighters.

But, looking at some of the other fighters that were motivated, and were actually looking forward to the fight, both of them finally calmed down. They thought about their family members that were inside the protection barrier behind them, and about the merit points that they had been promised that everyone was going to be given as long as they performed well in this fight, then, they clenched their teeth, ready to fight.

The moment that the skeleton warriors arrived in the area, Olivia gave the command. Of course, she herself had already realized that the enemy was not attacking using full force, but, just some skeletons that had come over to probe how the defense of the human race was.

Still, since the plan of ambushing the high level members of the dark race had already been destroyed by them using this method, Olivia did not hesitate. After giving an order, the people that were hiding, numbering in about 9,000 people both attacked.

It was true that these skeleton warriors were actually strong, but still, they were overwhelmed by the large number of the humans. Additionally, due to the fact that each human possessed a high level equipment, they were able to save their lives.

To deal with the skeleton warriors, they really needed to deal with the necromancers. But, the necromancers had not shown up. That implied that, they would have no choice but to destroy these monsters and turn them into a pile of bones.

At this moment, Olivia and the rest of the group that possessed the highest combat capabilities also began moving. Although they did not engage that much into a fight, as long as they found a monster that was about to kill someone, they would help out.

But still, they continuously moved out, though not in the same direction. Each and every one of them was given a mission, and that was, to make sure that they killed the necromancer as long as they encountered them.

The good thing was that, due to the appearance of the territory dungeon, most of the races that were coming over would have not expected something like this was going to happen. So, the current strength of the Domination Star territory was definitely higher than the opponent had estimated.

For all those that had entered into the territory dungeon during the first trip, all of them had already reached the bronze rank. Together with the several trips that they had been making in order to hunt monsters to gain the merit points, they had been able to level up even more.

For that reason, the skeleton warriors that had not yet reached the bronze rank were decimated one after the other. And, that was totally no pressure on the humans during this round.

On the other hand, Olivia was moving around. Wherever there was a chance, she would use the ice to freeze the skeletons around her. All those that tried to attack her were frozen, before they were crushed into several ice cubes.

And in no time, she finally came into contact with the first necromancer. This necromancer was controlling everything from behind the scenes, waiting for the skeletons that he had sent over to probe the defenses of the humans.

But, he had not expected that there was actually a human that was going to come over. Nevertheless, he was excited after realizing that this human was actually in the Bronze rank.

"No wonder the skeletons were not capable of preventing you from coming over. But, you are just sending yourself over to me." The necromancer stated in a husky voice.
