Chapter 213: Strategy

[The second stage of the apocalypse is officially beginning. Several races have also descended, and the second wave of the battle for domination will begin.]

This prompt appeared in front of every human in the entire planet. This immediately made the humans who were already struggling to survive under the attack of the zombies and the monsters, to fall into deeper despair.

They were already having trouble dealing with two races, but now, other multiple races had already descended. And, it was also during this moment that they finally understood why they were being attacked by some weird looking creatures, creatures that they had only seen or heard of in the fantasies.

Olivia and Sarah looked at each other. It was also at this moment that Sarah finally confirmed that the feeling that she was having about the members of the dark race descending was actually true.

At this point, Olivia could also not help but somehow blame whoever was sending these prompts to them. Why was it that the prompt was only appearing after the members of the different races had already come over?

Had it been that the members of the dark race had attacked the moment that they arrived, then, there was no telling the losses that the humans were going to suffer.

It might be true that currently, the members of the Domination Star territory were not planning to repair and renovate the entire city, but just a part of it, but, who could guarantee that they were not going to be attacked where they were?

"Let us go and make arrangements as soon as possible. If those guys are not going to attack right now, then, they are definitely going to attack during the night.

I’m pretty sure that they are not expecting that we already know about the information of their descent. Additionally, perhaps they don’t know that there is actually a person that possesses the light element here.

So, since they possess the dark element, you are their nemesis. With you here, they should not be able to succeed in sneaking an attack on us." Olivia stated as she led the way out of the room.

Currently, it was already noon on Tuesday. This was the third week after the descent of the apocalypse. But, just the changes that had occurred in the entire world made the world look completely different from how each previously looked.

Not to mention about the destruction that was caused in this world, the human race that was numbering in billions, had suddenly been reduced into at most one or two billion.

And, the number was continuously decreasing, and it seemed that the human race was going to be reduced into millions, as long as things progressed in the same direction that they were currently heading in.

After Olivia and Sarah left the room, they immediately met up with Adam. It seems that he had come over after receiving the prompt. Just like Olivia, Adam was also dedicated, trying to ensure that the territory was safe as long as Henry was away.

Even though it was true that he was not the second in command, he knew about one thing. And that was the fact that, Henry trusted him the most amongst all the people that were present here.

Although it was true that Olivia possessed the position of the second in command, but, that was in the territory, but not in Henry’s heart. And that was the reason why Henry had actually revealed to him the professions that he possessed, yet Olivia knew nothing about them.

"We should get ready. I don’t know if we should be having any strategy on dealing with this attack that is bound to come?" Adam asked as soon as he saw Olivia approaching.

"Currently, we don’t have any strategy other than defending. We are in the light, and they are in the dark. So, we have to ensure that everyone is safe." Olivia stated.

"Just that? Aren’t we supposed to attack them as well? We can decide not to utilize our full strength, but instead, we can attack them with just a part of the strength that we possess." Adam questioned with a frown on his face.

"Why don’t we take this matter to the conference room first? We don’t know when we are going to be attacked, so, it is better if we deal with everything as soon as possible." Olivia responded.

Although Adam was a little reluctant, he felt that whatever Olivia had said was true. So, he did not say anything else, but turned around and headed towards the conference room that was located at a floor that was above the one that they were currently on.

After Adam left, Sarah looked at Olivia and said, "It seems that he doesn’t hate you as he did before."

"I don’t really care if he really hates me or not. But, as long as we are having the same aim, then, I don’t really mind cooperating with him." Olivia responded. She was as nonchalant as usual.

Although she was not as cold as she was before to Adam, but still, she did not treat him as she treated Sarah. Currently, she knew that there was no way that Adam was going to betray her, unless he wanted to betray Henry as well.

Sarah did not say anything. But, she was a little relieved after realizing that, it did not seem that Olivia had any animosity towards Adam. If the two of them suddenly began fighting against each other, then, there was definitely going to be a problem within the territory.

The two of them held the highest positions, so if they began going against each other, then, it was going to be difficult to control the entire territory. Additionally, the two of them were the ones that possessed the highest combat power.

The two of them went ahead and entered the conference room. Along the way, they had already informed the governor, and a few selected members like Julie, and Arthur.

Julie was mainly selected due to the fact that she possessed high combat capability, at the same level as Arthur. Additionally, it seemed that she was not that much attached to Lucas and his brother Nelson.

As for the matter of betraying the territory, that was something that was hard to tell for the moment. But at least, Olivia and the rest of the group were sure that due to the benefits that many of the people within the territory had received so far, they would not go against them.

In the meeting, this time, Olivia took the position of the leader. And to her right, Adam sat there. Sarah on the other hand sat on Olivia’s left. The governor and the rest of the members also sat around the table.

The discussion began, and Olivia received a report of the progress of the repairs and renovation. But, everything was kept brief, because that was not the main aim of the meeting.

"Alright. To the main topic, we are going to be attacked very soon. And, by soon I am trying to imply that, we can be attacked even right now. So, we have to come up with the strategy that we are going to use to deal with the attack as soon as possible." Olivia stated.

Nobody was surprised after hearing what she had said. Anyway, all of them had already received the prompt that informed them about the descent of several races.

And, there was the mention of the battle for domination which was between different races. So, it was inevitable that they were going to fight against the other races that had descended.

One by one, people began giving away their suggestions. Olivia did not comment on them, but just kept on listening to their suggestions. And finally, after about 10 minutes, she finally came to a decision.

"So far, I have analyzed all the points that you have said. Currently, the entire territory where the main territory building is surrounded by the territory protection barrier is not that big. That implies that it is not capable of accommodating all the people within the city.

According to my calculation, the space will need to be over 137km². That implies that the radius of the territory protection barrier should be at least 6 km. And currently, the radius of the protection barrier is only 2 km. So, no matter what, we cannot accommodate everyone within the main territory." Olivia stated.

Nobody interjected, as they waited for Olivia to make a decision. Not to mention the fact that she was currently the strongest person present, but, she was also the one that held the highest position within the territory at the moment with Henry away.

"So, what we are going to do is this. For those people that possess non combat professions, they are going to be allowed to stay within the territory. But, we will have to let someone to remain behind to monitor them. We don’t want a repeat of what happened during the time that we were attacked when Henry was unconscious." Olivia continued.

In no time, Olivia revealed the plan that she was having. Currently, they had realized that the people that were mostly required at this moment were those that did not possess then non-combat professions.

For that reason, they had to ensure their safety. At the same time, even the children had to be protected. It was true that there were some of them that had already reached the bronze rank.

This was due to the fact that they were not within the territory during the time that the red mist was acting, but, they did not have combat experience, and Olivia was not going to send them out to fight.

The strategy that was revealed by Olivia was approved by everyone, including Adam. Even he himself had realized that, since they did not know who their opponent was, and where they were, they had to be cautious.
