Chapter 202: The Next Stage?

The moment that the red mist erupted, and several changes began occurring throughout the entire world, in the Domination Star territory, things were different.

The people that were still remaining within the territory could observe the changes that were occurring outside of the territory. They could see several trees and other vegetation growing rapidly with their own eyes.

At the same time, they could hear the roars that suddenly erupted around the city. At the same time, as the mist suddenly began enveloping the entire world, their vision was suddenly dimmed down.

It was just that, as long as they were within the territory, they were not affected by the red mist. That implied that, although they could see clearly within the territory, they could not see more than just a few meters away from them as long as they exited the territory protection barrier.

Just as they were stunned, wondering what was going on, the ground suddenly begun shaking. Then, not long after, they suddenly heard the roars that had been coming from a distance, suddenly erupting not far away from the territory protection barrier.

What followed next was that, several monsters suddenly began attacking the territory protection barrier. But, the moment that they began attacking the protection barrier, they were all blasted into a bloody mist. It did not matter if they were in the Bronze rank or not, but, as long as they attacked, the barrier counterattacked, killing all of them on the spot.

Currently, inside the territory, there were actually a total of four people that had already reached level 9 of the Bronze rank. They were Adam, Olivia, Sarah, and Jasmine. As for the rest of the group, all those that had entered into the dungeon had managed to reach at least level 3 of the Bronze rank.

But still, as they looked at the large number of monsters that were continuously attacking the territory protection barrier, they felt that the moment that they left the territory protection barrier, then, they would be easily overwhelmed by these monsters.

It was a good thing that currently, the number of zombies within Crystal City was low. After all, after the appearance of the necromancers, all the zombies within the city had been converted into skeleton warriors.

So, currently, the zombies that were present within Crystal City were only those that had been converted during the time that the red mist had acted.

"What should we do now?" Sarah asked as she observed the monsters continuously attacking the territory protection barrier. It was as if they did not observe their fellows being killed as long as they attached the barrier.

"There’s nothing that we can do right now. Currently, we do not understand the situation that much, but at least, we know that this situation is caused by the red mist. So, all that we can do currently is to wait for Henry to come back from the territory dungeon." Olivia responded.

Since Henry was no longer present, she was the one that was currently in charge of the territory. And, although Adam was unwilling as usual, there was nothing that he could do about it.

Additionally, the prejudice that he had against Olivia had also reduced drastically after the fight during that night against the monsters. After all, he had already been informed about how Olivia had saved him. Although it was true that she was just returning the favor, but still, she had saved him continuously several times.

Sarah did not say anything, but just continued watching. Currently, she was wondering when they were going to start going to their home city. After all, she was worried about her parents, that worry intensified during this moment where the monsters were suddenly running rampant.

Due to the lack of communication, she did not know the current situation of the city that she belonged to. Additionally, she did not know if this red mist was actually covering the entire country or maybe world, but she hoped that it was not the case.

"In any case, you better be prepared. We don’t know what changes are going to happen, but, we have to be ready at any point. So, I hope that you will be in your combat ready mode in case there is a need for." Olivia instructed.

Back inside the territory dungeon, Henry was still reveling in the feeling of getting stronger. It was quite addictive to feel that his strength had suddenly risen.

Henry went through the system prompts that had appeared. But, he was a little surprised on realizing that his summoner profession had also leveled up to the silver rank.

He could not understand the reason behind that, but, he guessed that all of this might actually be related to the fact that he possessed two professions at the same time. So, perhaps there was a need for both the professions to be able to reach the same rank at the same time.

And, Henry could not see any advantage in this. After all, it was not as if there was one profession that was going to pull another. Instead, as long as he did not improve in a single profession, then, he was never going to be able to rank up in the near future.

Although he was displeased by this arrangement, there was nothing that he could do about it.

Just as he was about to start learning the skills that he was keeping inside his idle space, he felt that he was suddenly grabbed by a mysterious force. And in the next moment, his body suddenly disappeared from the territory dungeon.

The next moment when he had regained his senses, he suddenly realized that he was currently back inside the main territory building. But, he felt that there was something wrong with the atmosphere.

Currently, he was not the only person who was here, but, instead, everybody that was within the territory dungeon had already been sent out. Inside the territory dungeon, they had spent an entire day.

Without saying anything, Henry immediately exited the main territory building. The rest of the group also followed, because they could feel that there was something wrong within the city.

After all, the continuous roaring of monsters could be heard even within the main territory building.

After Henry exited the main territory building, he was surprised when he realized that, he could not see anything outside of the territory. It was as if the entire world was suddenly enveloped by the red mist that was previously in the sky.

Olivia and the rest of the group immediately noticed when Henry and the rest of the group appeared. Olivia went ahead and gave a detailed explanation to Henry about what was happening.

Henry could not help but look back at the group that he had come out of the dungeon together with. But, he could not see any effect on them. Although it was true that the majority of them had already been affected by the red mist, however, currently, all of them were awakened.

Additionally, for some reason, the entire group had decided that they were not going to choose the non-combat professions. That was something that Henry found strange. But, since it was their decision, he did not comment about it.

"It seems that the apocalypse might be entering the next stage." Henry stated. Of course, he had received a lot of information about the apocalypse. Although it was just the basic information, but still, he knew that currently, the apocalypse had several stages.

That implied that, during the first stage, it was the one that they were experiencing not long ago. That was when the humans and the other races began fighting, trying to gain a foothold. However, he believed that, the fight was going to be even more cruel during the second stage of the apocalypse.

"I also thought of the same thing. It’s just that, we don’t know what to expect during the next stage of the apocalypse. But, I don’t expect anything good coming from the next stage of the apocalypse." Olivia responded with a grim expression on her face.

Although most of the time she looked cold, that did not imply that she really did not care. It was just that, that was her personality, always cold to strangers. But, she always warmed up to those that she was close to.

And currently, she was definitely worried about her family. Although she did not like the fact that they had arranged a marriage for her, still, that was something that could be discussed later on after she ensured that they were safe.

As if Henry could see through her worry, he said, "We should be getting ready to get out of Crystal City. After we ensure that we have secured the entire city, we can begin moving towards your home city. After all, for me to be able to get to Hillstown city, I’ll have to go through Lockwood city."

Olivia nodded her head, but she did not say anything. But at least, she felt gratified that she had actually agreed to join Henry’s group. After all, without his assistance, then, it was definitely going to be a problem for her to be able to reach the current level that she was in.

Henry was just about to say something when suddenly, the ground began shaking intensely. It was as if an earthquake of a high magnitude had erupted out of nowhere.
