Chapter 198: Leveling Up (1)

Swish!

The arrow was released from the bow. It cut through the air as it approached the Buffalo. The Buffalo tried to dodge but, that was an impossibility as it could not react to the speed at which the arrow was approaching.

Puchi!

The moment that the arrow managed to pierce into the buffalo’s right forelimb. Before the buffalo could even react, another rain or arrows shot towards it. And in no time, it had been incapacitated, with all of its four limbs completely destroyed.

Immediately after Diana dealt with the buffalo, she looked at Henry, waiting for his instruction. As for Henry himself, he just looked at the group of people that they had brought over, more so for those that had not yet become mutant warriors.

After looking around, he selected one of the people that had not yet become mutant warrior." Henry stated. Immediately after that, he took out a sword from the system inventory, before handing over to the middle-aged man.

"Me?" The man was immediately stunned. He had not expected that he was going to be selected to deal with the buffalo. Although it was through that it had currently been immobilized, but still, it looked ferocious, completely unlike any herbivorous creature.

"What do you think? You came over into the territory dungeon because you have to become a mutant warrior. And, there is no way that you are going to leave the dungeon without becoming an awakened, choosing either a combat or a non-combat profession." Henry stated.

He was a little pissed off. After all, using this chance, he could have gone ahead to try and kill as many monsters as possible, to not only collect the mutation crystals, but also, to make sure that he leveled up. He had to take every chance possible in order to make sure that he became stronger, because nobody could tell what kind of danger they were going to face next.

The middle-aged man was just about to say something, but he was forced to stop after looking at the expression on Henry’s face. It was clear that whatever Henry had said had to be followed. Additionally, it was not as if he himself knew a method that they were going to use in order to get out of the territory dungeon.

"Okay. But, can I use the gun?" The man asked as he showed Henry the gun that he was carrying.

"The gun was given to you for self protection. Right now, what we want is for you to be able to become an awakened. So, there is no use of guns because the gun will not enable you to become an awakened." Henry responded helplessly.

"Okay." Although he was a little hesitant, he had no choice. After all, currently, he knew about the group of people that always came to the territory, trying to enter into the territory. But, no matter how many times they tried, nobody was allowed.

That implied that, they themselves were currently lucky that they were inside the territory, although they were consider useless. So, it was better if he cooperated, rather than going against Henry, something that was going to make sure that he was kicked out of the territory.

With some fear and nervousness, the man took a step forward and approached the buffalo. Although the buffalo had currently been incapacitated, it was still conscious. Additionally, it was able to move its head from left to right.

Currently, the size of the buffalo was almost twice as the size of the normal buffalo. And other than that, even the ferocious expression that was on the buffalo that was currently experiencing a lot of pain was able to intimidate anybody without a strong mindset.

With determination in his eyes, the guy swung the sword. He had utilized his full strength, because he wanted to deal with the buffalo as soon as possible. He was not willing to continue staying in front of this creature, fearing that it might actually get back on its feet, before thrashing him.

Bang! Clang!

Instead of the sword cutting through the neck of the buffalo, the sound of the sword colliding with something hard, just like a rock, rang in the air.

The man on the other hand released the sword that he was carrying, feeling that his hand had suddenly gone numb.

It was also during this moment that finally, Henry remembered something. A monster was a creature that had good defense due to its good physique. For that reason, although the buffalo was not capable of resisting at this moment, but still, it was not something that could be dealt with just a normal human.

That implied that, this guy was not going to be capable of killing the buffalo, no matter how many times and chances he was given. Additionally, he was not capable of wielding the sword that Henry had given him.

With that already in his mind, Henry looked at the group behind him, and selected one of the people that was belonging to Arthur’s group. This guy was already at the 9th level of Rank O after the fight against the monsters two nights ago.

"You, go ahead and take care of the monster. As for the rest of you, you should be prepared to start using the guns." Henry instructed.

Unlike the rest of the group that had not awakened, this guy was excited after hearing what Henry had said. After all, he knew that it was difficult to be able to level up. And currently, he could tell that the buffalo that was lying in front of him was way stronger than he was which implied that, he did not possess any chance of killing it on his own.

But now, it was completely different. The buffalo was not capable of moving around, giving him a chance of attacking as many times as possible, to kill it. So, with excitement in his eyes, he moved forward before beginning to attack without even waiting for Henry to say anything.

After about three strikes, the guy was capable of killing the buffalo. The moment that he did that, he experienced a level up, enabling him to become a level 1 bronze rank mutant warrior.

In the next few hours, Henry led the group, ensuring that the entire group was capable of becoming a mutant warrior, or selecting their non-combat profession. Since they were inside here, almost all the monsters present were at the Bronze rank.

So, Henry had no choice but to allow those that have not yet awakened to start using the guns in order to gain as much energy as possible. And after that, he allowed them to kill the monsters that had already been close to death.

That way, they were able to get stronger and stronger, and in no time, they were capable of awakening. And, after about 5 hours, the entire group had already awakened. Of course, they were tired as well.

The group then began resting. At the same time, Henry took out the food and drinks that he was having in his system inventory, before it was distributed. Of course, the one that he had taken out was the canned food that could be found within the system store.

After 1 hour rest, Henry looked at Diana and said, "Can you help me in taking care of this group? I will be heading out alone. I have to try and level up as soon as possible, just to make sure that we use this chance to the maximum."

"Yes master." Diana immediately agreed. Anyway, it was not as if there was any command that she could refuse. After all, Henry was her master, and she was supposed to follow each and every of his command.

After getting Diana’s acknowledgment, Henry decided to leave together with Storm. It was true that he could have decided to leave Storm behind, but still, he decided against it.

After all, not all the people present could continue being together with a monster, although they knew that it was not going to attack them.

After leaving the group behind, Henry finally began heading towards the deepest parts of the dungeon. All this while, he had been moving along the periphery of the dungeon.

It might be true that the distribution of the monsters inside this dungeon was not organized, but still, it was true that until now, they had not met any monster that had already reached the silver rank.

The highest level monster that they had encountered until now was only at the fifth level of the Bronze rank, something that was taken care of easily.

Now, since he was no longer being held back, Henry did not hold back. So, as he began entering deep into the dungeon, Henry finally began encountering high level monsters.

But still, all of them were easily taken care of by Storm. Currently, Henry was only going to target those at the 7th level and above. As for the rest of the monsters, they were going to be taken care of by Storm, in order to make sure that his summoner profession was going to be advanced to the next level.

Finally, after about half an hour, Henry encountered a monster that had already reached the 8th level of the Bronze rank. Knowing that it might be a fight that was going to take a toll on him, Henry did not hesitate to start attacking the moment that he encountered the monster.

With fire enveloping his sword, Henry attacked. At the same time, he used the fire dragon skill. A fire dragon was manifested in the air, before it charged towards the gigantic spider in front of him.
