Chapter 194: He’ll Die Without Protection

After about 10 minutes, they finally arrived in the area that the captain and the group of soldiers wanted to alight from the helicopter.

Although they had been brought to the Southern part of the city, they were not taken to the survivor’s camp directly. Of course, the captain was not going to ask for more than what he had already received. It was already good enough that they had been rescued.

After the helicopter landed, the captain and his soldiers all got out of the helicopter. The survivors followed behind. The young man who had been shaking previously, who was currently back to his normal condition was also about to get out of the helicopter when he was prevented.

"You are coming with us." The lady who seemed to be the leader of the group stated.

"Huh?" The young man was dumbfounded. He had not expected that he was going to be told to stay. This was going to be the second time that he was going to be targeted. He was wondering what was wrong with a zombie targeting him, and now, there was also a group of humans that was targeting him.

Even the captain felt that there was something strange. Still, he was the one who had rescued this young man from the city, before they were attacked by the zombies. So from he was not going to let just anybody take him away. After all, he did not even know this group.

"I’m sorry but you cannot ask him to remain behind. He is in my group, and I’m taking him to the survivor’s camp." The captain stated as he looked at the lady.

"You don’t understand anything about him. That zombie attacked you because it wanted him. If you bring him to the survivor’s camp that the military has built, then you have to be prepared to be attacked." The lady replied simply.

The captain on the other hand frowned. What the lady had said was actually true. The zombie came over, asking for them to hand over this young man. That implied that, if they took this young man back to the survivor’s camp, there might actually be a chance that the zombie would come and look for him there as well.

"You don’t have to worry about that. The military possesses incredible strength, and I do believe that we are capable of protecting the civilians." The captain replied confidently. After all, he himself was not considered strong. He was just a captain, but, he was not the strongest within the military camp.

"If it is true that the military possesses that incredible strength, why don’t you clear out the zombies that are flooding the city?" The lady sneered as she stated.

When the captain heard that, he remained silent. He knew that there was no way that the military was capable of dealing with the entire city that was filled with zombies. After all, more than 90% of the population of the entire Hillstown City had already turned into zombies. That was millions of zombies.

"You don’t have to worry about his safety. He will be safe with us. After all, we are the only ones that understand him." The lady stated after realizing that the captain was not going to say anything.

Although the captain hesitated for a moment, he decided to trust this lady. After all, if they were actually a group of bad people, they would not have saved them. Additionally, it was way better if he did not bring trouble to the military camp. After all, the number of people there, that had not managed to awaken was so high.

Although he wanted to question if this group actually possessed the ability to protect him, but, he decided against it. After all, he could remember clearly how she had easily dealt with the two zombies that had been jumping after him. Additionally, she dealt with them without even getting out of the helicopter.

"Okay. I’ll trust you with his life." The captain stated before he stepped back.

The young man on the other hand was completely ignored during the conversation. It was as if he did not exist here, and they were not talking about him. And with just a few words, they had already decided on what he was supposed to do next.

"Hey, I never agreed to go with you. I want to go to the military camp." The young man stated. To him, the soldiers were a source of hope. Other than that, he believed that the military was definitely capable of taking care of him, more than just a group of four people.

"That is not your decision to make. Additionally, we saved your life, so, you have to at least listen to us in order to repay this favor." The lady, the leader of the group stated nonchalantly.

One of the men that was present inside the helicopter went ahead and closed the door of the helicopter. After that, the rotors of the helicopter began rotating, before the helicopter took off.

The young man on the other hand wanted to resist, but he decided against it. After all, not to mention that the captain had already agreed to the matter, but, what could he do? He was not as strong as these people.

Additionally, they had already saved his life. So, at least, he believed that they were not going to do anything that was going to harm him. Moreover, he was a little curious about the reason why the zombie came after him.

Inside the helicopter, one of the men looked at the lady and asked, "Alicia, are you sure about it?"

"Yes. He is the one. I’m pretty sure that he’s going to play an important role in the future. So, we have to help him in awakening. Otherwise, if he remains the way that he is, as long as there’s nobody that is going to protect him, then, he is going to die soon." Alicia responded.

The conversation between the two left the young man completely confused. He was wondering what these people were talking about. Additionally, it was only now that he thought of something. It seemed that this group came over to look for him, but he did not know how they were able to know that he was inside that building.

Crystal City...

Henry had been going around, trying to look and see if there was any potential talent that he could recruit. But, he was a little disappointed after realizing that it was not that easy to be able to get a person holding a profession that was at S grade.

So far, the number of people that he had seen possessing at least an S grade profession was so low. But still, some of them had already died. He had also realized that, he could not spot anybody that belonged to the mutant warrior association.

He had asked for information about this organization, because it was completely impossible that nobody knew about it. But, he received the information about the location where it was.

When he went over, he realized that the entire area was completely destroyed. There was not even a single life to be found. All the dead bodies of the humans that died while the tide was being controlled by Chris were all devoured by the sea monsters.

As for the sea monsters themselves, they were already dead, the majority of them being turned into blood mist by the territory protection barrier. Additionally, for the rest, they were not that hard to handle, and the majority of them could not survive outside of the water.

In the end, Henry guessed that perhaps Jake and his group had already been eliminated by Chris. In any case, he did not see any possibility of Jake being capable of resisting Chris.

Henry was further disappointed. If he was actually capable of recruiting a person like Jake, then, the strength of his territory would definitely be boosted.

After the fruitless search, Henry went back to the Domination Star territory. The moment that he arrived there, he noticed that there was actually yet another group of people that had come over to cause trouble.

He could not help but get a little irritated. After all, all this while, he had managed to encounter people belonging to several camps and bases that had been created by several other people. But, he had not noticed any group of people going there to cause trouble.

Could it be that his territory was only capable of attracting trouble every now and again? After all, this was getting too much. Just the previous night, he had to deal with a horde of monsters.

The following day, he was attacked by Chris. Then, a group of humans came over to cause trouble again. It seemed that he had to look for a way that he was going to make sure that nobody tried to come over and cause trouble.

When the group of people realized that there was a Jeep that was approaching, they moved to the side, allowing it to pass. Of course, nobody suspected that this Jeep actually belonged to this territory.

But still, they were quite curious about who the owner of this Jeep was. After all, this Jeep was so cool, being capable of moving in such a terrain, where even their vehicles were forced to stop, so that they could walk over on foot.

Just before Henry could enter the territory, a man with a bulky body took a step forward and stood in front of the Jeep. And the moment that he did that, the rest of the group immediately surrounded the Jeep.

"I don’t care who you are. But, I like this car of yours. So, I’m going to take it." The man said as he looked at the jeep with a covetous gaze.
