Chapter 192: Intelligent Zombie

What was revealed was a figure of a young man with a completely pale skin. He seemed to be too pale for a normal and healthy person. But, what attracted the attention of everyone present was definitely the eyes that were currently glowing red.

The moment that the young man entered the room, he did not look at anyone else, but instead, he focused on a single person. And of course, this person was the one that was shaking, the shaking that had increased tremendously after this person barged into the room.

"You, come with me." The young man stated in a hoarse voice as he pointed towards that young man.

The captain and the rest of the group were immediately dumbfounded. Didn’t this guy say that he was here to take something? Why was it that he was Intending to take a person, rather than something?

The captain could not allow the person that he was here to rescue to be taken away so easily. So, he took a step forward and asked, "For what reason do you want him? Currently, he is under me because we are on a rescue Mission."

"What does that have to do with you? I’ll take him, and I’ll be leaving. So, you better cooperate, because if you don’t, I don’t mind killing all of you." The young man responded.

At this point, the captain had already focused on the young man, and information about him appeared in front of his vision.

Chris’s pupils suddenly contracted after reading the information about the figure in front of him. Although it was true that the panel that had appeared in front of him was full of question marks, but, there was something that shook him to the core.

It was not only due to the fact that the person in front of him was not a person, but a zombie, but due to the fact that he could not see the power level of the other party. This was the first time that something like this was happening to him ever since he had reached the Bronze rank.

"You are a zombie?!" The captain stated with horror clear in his eyes. He could not believe that there was actually a zombie that was conscious, and intelligent. Additionally, he could finally understand the reason why while he was walking through the groups of the zombies, they only opened a path for him, but they did not attack.

The young man and his blood red eyes and looked at the captain. Then, he turned around once again, and looked at the young man who was continuously shaking and said, "Are you coming over, or should I come and bring you over?"

Now that the captain had already realized that the figure in front of them was not a human, but a zombie, there was no way that he was going to allow the zombie to be able to get a human.

It might be true that he did not know the power level of the zombie in front of him, but at least, he believed that as a soldier, he was not supposed to abandon anybody that was under their protection.

He tightened his grip around the spear, as his muscles tensed, ready to make a move. To him, it did not matter if he was capable of dealing with the zombie or not. But at least, it was way better to try.

As for the young man, his body was continuously shaking. And, when he felt the gaze of the zombie on him, he could not help but be a little frightened. He had already realized that this guy was actually a zombie from the captain’s words.

"What do you want me for? I don’t think I know you, and I don’t believe that I have any business to do with you." The young man responded. It was quite strange to see a person that was shaking, but he was capable of speaking fluently.

The zombie on the other hand frowned when he realized that the young man was not going to cooperate. The same applied for the captain. As for the soldiers, apart from one of them that was hesitating, all the others took their stances, ready to support their captain in order to protect the survivors.

Still, the captain found that there was something strange about this zombie. If it really was as powerful as he was guessing, it would have definitely attacked them. But, for some strange reason, it had resorted to talking instead of taking action.

It was not that he was complaining, but still, this was just too strange. Normally, according to what he thought of zombies, whenever they saw any sentient creature that was not a zombie, they would definitely attack them.

But now, they were standing in front of a zombie, and the zombie was actually making a demand, rather than taking whatever it wanted forcefully.

"Okay. Since you don’t want to cooperate, then, I guess I can only kill all of you here." The young man stated before his eyes shone with bright intensity.

Outside of the building, the zombies that were standing idly suddenly began moving. The direction that they were heading for was the building.

Currently, the number of zombies that was surrounding the building had already reached over 100,000. And, in those over 100,000 zombies, there were already several bronze rank zombies.

Although they were not intelligent, but still, their capabilities had been improved drastically. And, although a few, there were even some mutated zombies present within the group.

The captain and the group immediately noticed the commotion that was happening outside from the window. They were not that far from the floor to ceiling window, so, they could see what was happening outside.

Finally, the captain understood the aim of the zombie in front of him. It turned out that it was not going to attack personally, but instead, it was going to use the large number of zombies that was outside of the building to attack them.

Currently, what he did not really want was for the zombies to charge into the building. But, it seemed that he was quite unlucky today.

"Captain, why don’t you just give this kid away? It is good to sacrifice a single life, to save nine others." The guy who had been claiming that they had to leave behind the survivors that they had rescued looked at the captain as he said with hesitation.

At this moment, he was already cursing at the captain. After all, if he had listened to what he had been saying, he would have left behind all the survivors, ensuring that the zombies would not target them.

But now, they had already been made a target. Additionally, the captain did not seem to be willing to offer a single life, in exchange for the rest of their lives.

"That’s right. Why should we die because of one person? Let him go over so that we can be able to live."

"I’m not ready to die at this point. You, go over. You better be on your own, and don’t try bringing trouble to the rest of us."

At this point, even the survivors began thinking of the same. After all, why would they want to die because of a single person? So, to them, it was better if this young man submitted to the zombie, so that the rest of them could live.

The captain on the other hand was immediately angered by what his soldier had said. He had never expected that a soldier that had taken an oath to protect all the people of his nation, was going to say something like that.

But still, the captain had to agree with what that soldier had said. After all, it was true that currently, by keeping the young man together with them, he was definitely risking the lives of everyone here.

He might actually be a bronze rank mutant warrior currently, but, who said that there were no bronze rank zombies within the crowd that was approaching? He himself was not capable of dealing with the entire horde of zombies that composed of thousands of zombies.

But still, his sense of duty did not allow him to sacrifice a single person. To him, it was going to be good, considered as a mission success as long as he managed to bring everybody back to the survivor camp that was created by the military.

Just as he was hesitating, the group of survivors behind him suddenly became agitated. The more time they wasted, the higher the chances of the group of zombies reaching them. So, they began putting a lot of pressure on the captain.

It was just that, they could not act personally or violently. Otherwise, with the captain’s strength, it was not impossible for him to be able to deal with them.

Just as the captain was about to make his decision, the sound of a helicopter approaching reached his ears. When he turned around, he realized that there was actually a military helicopter that was flying towards the building.

Additionally, although he could not see clearly, he saw that there was a group of people inside the chopper, and one of them was using binoculars to look towards the building.

With hope in his eyes, the captain kept his gaze on the zombie in front of him. He was afraid that the zombie was going to make a move, since it was going to take some time for the zombies to be able to approach the floor that they were currently on.

The zombie on the other hand frowned when he realized that there was a helicopter that was approaching. But still, although he did not have a good expression on his face, he did not make a move, strangely.
