Chapter 191: I Want Something

Suddenly, that figure bent down. And in the next moment, it shot up for over 3 m. Then, it managed to enter the building through the floor to ceiling glass.

The moment that the captain noticed the movement of that figure, he realized that perhaps this figure might actually be related to the reason why the zombies were gathering outside the building. As for the reason why they were coming after them, he did not see any.

According to him, in the entire city, just how many survivors were there? There were definitely many of them. But, it seemed that his group was the one that was being targeted by this particular group of zombies.

Normally, if the zombies did not detect the target that they were looking for, they would just wonder around for some time before they lose interest, then beginning to stagger around the area, waiting for any moment that they will be required to make a move.

But now, the zombies had already gathered outside the building. Additionally, the number of zombies was continuously increasing as time went by. It did not seem like they were going to disperse at any moment of time.

"All of you be prepared for a fight. There is a creature that is approaching, since we do not know the real aim, we have to be prepared." The captain stated. At the same time, he held the spear in his hand tensely.

He was not sure If it was just a coincidence that they had entered a building that had something that the zombies were targeting, but most probably, they were the targets. So, it was way better if they became prepared for a fight.

It was good that only a single figure was the one that was coming over, and not the entire horde of zombies. Currently, the number of zombies that were outside of the building had already reached several thousands. And from the way that the zombies were charging over, he was sure that they would be able to reach 100,000 over in no time.

The moment that the captain said those words, the survivors felt their bodies trembling. Each and every one of them was obviously scared. Since they were currently surrounded by zombies, they could see that their lives were at stake.

It might be true that their lives were always at stake when they were inside the city, but, they had never been in a situation where they had been surrounded like this. They were currently at the top most floor of the building, somewhere that even if they wanted to get out of the building, it was impossible to jump.

Within the group of the remaining five survivors, there was a young man who was suddenly feeling itchy. He had a tingling feeling that danger was approaching. That was something that was happening for the first time, something that had never happened to him before.

He himself had already been surviving inside the city for several days now. He had managed to escape from the gangsters that had already formed a base of their own, managing to escape the zombies and so on.

But now, his heart was feeling a sense of crisis. He did not understand why, but still, he felt his body trembling. And, when the soldiers and the other survivors looked at his body that was trembling, they could not help but think that this guy was a little too much.

The guy was practically shaking as if he was a vibrator or something. Even from a distance, a person could easily say that this guy was shaking as hell.

Could it be that fear had already overwhelmed him? But, even if a person was afraid, this kind of shaking was definitely not possible, right?

The captain on the other hand thought otherwise. Even he himself could feel that there was a slight sense of danger that was approaching. He was at the Bronze rank after all. So, his senses were way better than the other people present.

"Are you okay?" The captain asked as he approached the young man.

"I don’t know why, but I am feeling an extreme sense of fear and despair. It is as if there’s something that wants to kill me, and there is nothing that I can do about it." The young man responded. Strangely, his voice was not shaking, but he was speaking just as a normal person would.

The captain on the other hand became even more alert. He did not understand why the young man was behaving in such a way, but still, he had claimed that he was feeling that there was a sense of danger that was approaching. Since that creature had managed to enter the building, even he himself had felt that there was danger.

So, he decided to believe that perhaps this might actually be a special ability that this person possessed. So, he looked towards the entrance of the room that they were currently in.

This one was just a normal office. There was nothing much inside here, other than the luxurious office desk, a shelf containing several books, and a cabinet that was currently locked.

Other than that, there was also a set of chairs that were made from luxurious materials. But, that was not something important during the apocalypse. The room was capable of accommodating the ten of them well, and there was still a lot of space.

Bang!

The group was suddenly frightened by the loud sound that came from the entrance of the room. It was as if there was something big that had knocked onto the door.

It was good that they had pulled all the furniture present inside the room and pushed them towards the entrance, other than the office desk.

Bang! Bang!

The door began shaking after whatever was knocking from the other side began doing so consecutively. This made everybody feel tense. After all, they could not tell what was on the other side.

"Open up! There’s something that I want in here. After I get it, I will be gone." A male voice that was kind of hoarse and a little rigid came from the entrance.

The captain and the rest of the group were immediately stunned. They began wondering what it was, or who it was that was actually at the entrance. When they were coming in, they had cleared all the zombies, and they had not spotted any human inside the building.

Of course, there might actually be humans that were currently hiding inside the other rooms present in the building, but still, how was it possible that they knew that they were inside of this room?

"Who are you?" The captain asked cautiously. It was true that his group was sent over for a rescue mission other than looking for food supply, but still, he knew that currently, there were a lot of gangsters that were taking advantage of the moment that there were no laws anymore.

"It doesn’t matter who I am. I have already stated that there is something that I want inside there. After I get it, I will get going. But, if you don’t open this door, I’m going to break it down." The male voice replied once again.

The expressions of everybody present in the room shifted once again. As for the young man, he began shaking even more. It was as if his body was continuously urging him to get out of here, but, he just couldn’t.

The captain on the other hand immediately realized that the other person was definitely not here with good intentions. After all, he was claiming that he was capable of breaking the door, implying that, even with all the barricade that they had created, it seemed that it was going to be simple for the other party to be able to enter.

But of course, they could not eliminate the fact that the other party might actually be bluffing. After all, there were not that many people that had already reached the bronze rank.

Even in the military, the ones that had gotten an advantage due to the fact that they possessed weapons and had undergone a lot of training, the number of soldiers that had reached the Bronze rank could be easily counted.

"If there’s something that you want inside here, then, you will have to wait. After we leave, you can come in and take whatever it is that you want. As for now, we are not opening that door." The captain replied decisively.

Even he himself began looking around, wondering what it was that the other party was looking for.

In the apocalypse, the majority of the things had already lost their value. So, he was wondering what it was that the other party wanted to get from inside this office.

"Okay. Since it doesn’t seem like you have the intention of opening the door, then I’ll have to let myself in." The other party stated.

Immediately after the voice fell, there was a moment of silence. Then, in the next moment, the door that was at the entrance suddenly broke down as if it was a cardboard that had been smashed by a hammer that was used in breaking rocks.

Splinters erupted, forcing the entire group to retreat towards one end of the room. In just a single moment, the entire barricade and the door that was used to block the entrance was already broken down.

What was revealed was a figure of a young man with a completely pale skin. He seemed to be too pale for a normal and healthy person. But, what attracted the attention of everyone present was definitely the eyes that were currently glowing red.
