Chapter 181: Incredible Recovery

When the people around realized that Jake had been attacked all of a sudden, all of them froze. Then, by the time that they began reacting, Jake had already been long dead.

With Jake already out of the picture, the other monsters that were attacking finally got an advantage. Since there was nobody that was capable of dealing much damage to them, the large swarm of sea monsters suddenly managed to reach the people at the middle floors of the building.

Some of them tried rushing towards the top floor of the building, but, they were not capable of doing that before they were killed off. And in no time at all, the entire mutant warrior association had already been cleared out.

Had it not been that Chris had personally decided to make a move, then, perhaps the mutant warrior association would have managed to survive for a little longer. But after he had taken out the leader at the main pivot of support of the entire association, the rest of the people were easy to handle after being easily swarmed.

After they were dealt with, Chris realized that the barrier that was protecting the territory did not disappear. That implied that, there had to be an item that was used to create this barrier, and it was not a skill that a person possessed.

Curious about the item, Chris took a step forward and managed to enter the base. Although there was a barrier that was surrounding the building, it was only used to prevent water from being capable of entering. But, for the other things, it could only reduce the damage that they dealt.

Using his mind control skill, he was able to view what the monsters that he was controlling were seeing. It was just that, he could not see through the eyes of all those that he was controlling. At most, he could see through the eyes of 10 monsters.

But still, that was just enough for him. Using the 22 pairs of eyes, he was able to easily locate the underwater crystal. And after finding it, he was amazed. It was just that, since he was no longer a human, he did not possess the ability to see the information about the crystal.

But still, somehow, information about how to activate the crystal had appeared in his mind. So, without hesitation, he decided to take this crystal along. Since he had decided that he was going to make the sea as his own base, then, this might be capable of helping him in the future.

With the underwater crystal deactivated, the barrier that was surrounding the building suddenly dissipated. At the same time, the large amount of water that was being prevented by the barrier suddenly flooded the building, easily crushing it onto the ground.

With that finally out of the way, Chris shifted his gaze and looked in the direction that he felt that his enemies were in. And without hesitation, he began controlling the wave again, charging towards the direction that he felt the presence.

As he moved forward, all that was left behind was ruins. Additionally, if someone observed the wave from a distance, they would realize how bizarre it was. After all, it was not like a tsunami that suddenly erupted from the sea, washing into the coast and the areas around the coast.

Instead, it was just as if there was a large amount of water that was moving around. It moved and after it passed an area, it left behind ruins and several things that were dropped onto the ground.

In short, after the wave left the area, only an area that was soaked by water would be left behind. As for the large amount of water, it would have already gone a long distance away.
